Shohei Ohtani used the Harada method, a 64-square goal grid, to map his career in high school with getting drafted first overall at the center. He built eight supporting pillars around that goal, each with eight sub-pillars like his 'karma' pillar with actions such as picking up trash and keeping equipment tidy.

The world's greatest athlete mapped out his entire career freshman year in high school. Shohei Ohtani, the star major league baseball player, built this out with his mentor. This is called the Harada method and it is the best goal setting method you could possibly do. And I want you to build this out for your goal. Let me show you how it works. So in the center, that is your main goal, alright? In Atani's case, it was get drafted first overall. And then you have eight pillars around that that supports that goal that you need to do on a daily or, or weekly basis to accomplish the main goal. And from those, those eight categories, they expand out into their own category and have eight pillars around that. I want you guys to take a look at this one. My favorite one is the karma one, all right? That Atani built. Karma. Pick up trash, right? Take care of equipment, be positive to the umpires, keep your room clean, all right? Start building out yours, have your goal and then start building your categories. Good luck.
