Hey, how you doing? Alex Swenson here. Thanks for joining me. And in today's video we're going to be talking about the top 15 Division 3 baseball programs. There's a lot of good Division 3 baseball programs out there. We're going to cover some of them today. And you guys might have missed but I put out a Division 1 mid major ranking as well just a couple weeks ago and then also a Division 2 ranking just last week. So go back to my channel and take a look at those because there's a lot of good programs at all of these levels that I want you guys to be aware of. And what is the reason for me doing this is making sure I'm just shining a light on all the great baseball programs in the country. There's over 1600 college baseball programs and I get it. There's, I talked about this in my last video. Everybody kind of gravitates to the Power 5 schools, which I understand. But again we don't want to miss possible opportunities at some of these great baseball programs. And that's why I'm going over this and even more to come. So if you get anything from my video, please smash that like button that thumbs up right over here and subscribe to my channel for more information. I put out a weekly video on recruiting and helping you go through this recruiting process but also more information about college programs, high school programs, players, etcetera etcetera as we go. So let's go on and dive into this. So why should you target Division 3 schools? All right. There's a lot of reasons we're going to cover that right here. So Division 3 baseball are full of great players. I don't want you to have a mindset of like whether if it's not Division 1, there's not a great baseball players. Man, there's a lot of good baseball players. Some notable Division 3 names that played in the MLB is Billy Wagner, a seven time all star. Joe Nathan, 377 saves. I believe that's top 10 as far as total saves in the MLB record. Jordan Zimmerman, he has a no hitter. He's also All Star, all Division 3 Division 3 players. And then also it's a close knit community. Most Division 3 schools are smaller. So if that's something that you are looking for, and it was, I went to a smaller school, Division 1 mid major school and it was really beneficial for me for a number of different reasons. I not only for the baseball program but just class settings helped me stay up with class and got to know My professors. There's a close knit, close knit community at the school, more balanced lifestyle. At Division 3 there's a little bit more restrictions as far as what you can be doing baseball wise to help again a more balance of a social setting and athletics as well. And then a lot of great academic schools, Division 3, there's a bunch of them there. And then also reminder, there's no athletic aid, meaning no athletic scholarships at Division 3. But there is a lot of academic aid. Usually you get way more money from an academic standpoint than you would athletic. Really almost a lot of the levels, all the levels. There's just a lot of potential for academic money that helps in academic scholarships which is man, any money that goes towards tuition is helpful and especially academics gives you another reason to really stay focused in the classroom and have a good gpa. And if you're good at test scores and taking like the SAT or act, definitely go on and take those. There's a lot of test optional schools out there. But man, if you are good at taking a standardized test like an SAT or ACT going to take it, it can help set separate you. I always recommend take it especially if you're even average to above average. That could help separate you from the administration standpoint and also potentially help you with academic scholarships. So let's dive in to some of the top 15 schools and Division 3 per year programs. Let's start off with number one, East Connecticut State University. Yes, they went 49, three last year and they are the national champions. A runner up from last year. Salisbury university in Maryland, 39 and 12. I mean just two great programs, two great years. All of these really programs had good years last year. And then there's University of Wisconsin, Stevens point, they went 42 and 10. Wisconsin's got some good baseball out there. They have a couple teams in the top 15. Lagrange College in Georgia went 44 and nine. Fantastic performance program. Marietta College in Ohio, a lot of good programs out of Ohio as well went 44 and 7. Trinity University in Texas went 38 and 13. Coming in at number 7, Baldwin Wallace. University of Ohio. There's another Ohio school, 37 and 13. Birmingham Southern comes in at number 8. College are in Alabama, they went 41 in 10. Catholic University, a D.C. program there. Coaching staff over there with Bobby and they're doing a great job there as far as with their program. They made it to the College World series, the Division 3 last year, which is fantastic. Coming in at number 10, University of Wisconsin. Whitewater went 36 and 11. Rowan University went 33 and 10 out of New Jersey, number 12 coming in, Etiquette College in Massachusetts went 40 in 10. Great year there. And then we have Chapman University out in California. They just been a staple of the Division 3 program year in and year out. 35 and 14 as we go. I always don't know if I'm pronouncing that right, but hopefully I am. State in New York with 33 and 13 and. And number 15. Rounding out the top 15, Denison University out of Ohio, another Ohio program, 35 and 10. So definitely check these programs out. I'm going to be putting out more schools as far as the top 25, the top 50 at all of the levels. But again, these programs are fantastic. Take a look, go after them, look at their camps, reach out to the college coaches. Again, just a lot of good baseball at all the levels. And definitely we see that right here. I mean, East Connecticut State University could compete with a lot of Division 1 programs and beat Division 1 programs. Again, baseball all around is fantastic. So if there's anything else that you guys want to see, please comment down below. Would love to dive into things that you actually want to know about it, maybe at the college level or recruiting or anything like that, because I want to give what you guys want and that can help you. But hopefully you got something from the video. If you did, again, smash that, like, button and subscribe and I will see you in the next video. All right, take care. Have a good day.
