Hey, team, Alex here. Thanks for joining me. It is one of the most exciting times of the year for a college baseball fan or a student athlete in high school trying to pursue college baseball because college baseball is starting. First pitch has already been thrown for NAIA juco, D3 and D2 and Division 1 starts this weekend and ESPN just announced they're going to televise over 2,200 games over their network through this spring and into the summer. So make sure you're paying attention, make sure you're watching college baseball. It's a great way to learn and to see what these college athletes are doing. So a lot of preseason top 25 rankings have come out. We're going to be taking a look at those for Division 3, Division 2 and Division 1. They're really cool graphics that I'm going to share with you that college baseball helps put together. We're also going to be talking about the top two resources that you guys can follow through this college baseball season. These guys are awesome. They, they put the scores together. They also give great content and news in college baseball. And as you guys know, I help through the recruiting process. So I help high school student athletes go through this process and get to college baseball. And these guys are the best with college baseball. So we'll talk about them and where you guys can find them and get all of that information and keep up with again, college baseball. Because college baseball, it is as strong as it's ever been from a popularity standpoint and then also a talent standpoint. So it is an exciting, exciting time. We're also going to be talking about official visits and unofficial visits and why over the next three, five, six months is going to be the best time to go visit these programs and tour facilities. And then lastly, if you guys don't know who I am, my name is Alex Swinson. I'm a former Division 1 college coach and recruiter and now I help high school athletes and their families go through this recruiting process. If you're looking for any help or direction, feel free to reach out to me. I have a couple spots left in my academy right now that just actually opened up and be happy to talk to you more about that. If you're interested, you can look down in descriptions or just shoot me an email and we will go from there. Alright, let's hop into it. So colleges and universities around the country are playing college baseball. So this makes for a perfect time again over the next couple of months to go take an unofficial visit to these colleges or universities, especially locally because they're playing games. Go watch a baseball game, go take a look at the baseball facilities, take a tour of the university and get a feel of the environment. Can you see yourself there? Can you picture yourself there? So I used unofficial visit and another terminology is official visit. So what do these mean in the recruiting world? These are just recruiting terminologies, if you will. So unofficial, there's really cat two categories to them. The unofficial visit is you just going on your own, you being proactive and going and taking a tour of the university. Go watching a baseball game, go take a look at the baseball facility. The other, other category which we want to work to is getting the college baseball coach to invite you. So they give you a tour. Now all the expenses are on you. That's the unofficial part. You can take as many unofficial visits as you would like. But, but again everything, all the expenses are on you. But they give you the tour of the baseball facility, usually the university as well. And then there's an official visit, an official visit. You can only have five of these as far as you go through this recruiting process. And that means all of the expenses are paid by the baseball program or if you play a different sport, the football program, etc. From there. So your hotel, your travel, your gas or your flight, flights, the meals, etc. That is the official visit. That is really where it really gets official, if you will. And with baseball, some of this happens after a commitment and the unofficial happens before a commitment. They might bring you on and they are showing you around and they might even offer you there. They bring you into the head coaching office and give you a lay of the land, talk about the program and then offer you there. So that's really, really exciting. Again, that's what we're doing, working towards. So for you, if we're not there from the college coach's perspective, hey, let's go and be proactive. And it's a great way to initiate contact with these coaches, just letting them know, send them an email like hey, really excited to come watch you play X like whatever team that is. And I'm going to be there Saturday and look forward to seeing the, the team and the guys play and taking a look at the facility. By the way, I'm going to take a look at the tour, tour of the school and look forward to staying in contact with you. Great way to start dialogue there. So that's the difference between unofficial and official. Now before we get into the top 25, I want to give a shout out to these two ambassadors for college baseball. They are doing so much for the game and they are helping out, getting the content, the news out and helping grow college baseball. And that is number one is D1baseball.com these guys are all in the news and the articles that they put out there, just amazing. But one of the coolest resources and tools that they have is they have basically a database of all the college games that are going on for that day. And the scores, live scores, live updates where you'll be able to check it out. So make sure you go check them out on their website, d1baseball.com and the next one is college baseballhub.com these guys are awesome with their social media content, with the graphics that they do. And by the way, I have no affiliation with these guys at all. No affiliation. I just love following them as well. So go check them out @college baseball hub.com all right, let's dive into the top 25. We're going to start with division three of the top 25. The preseason top 25, I should say. And College Baseball Hub put this graphic together. It's not their top 25. It's actually the National Collegiate Baseball's Writer Associations top 25. That's a mouthful there. But they put this graphic to make it, make it look really clean. So you guys take a look. I'm going to turn up the music. I'm going to leave it up here. Pause it if you need more time to take a look at it. Then we'll go Division 2. All right, team, now let's look at the D2 preseason top 25. Take a look. All right, we have made it to the Division 1 preseason top 25. And this is really, really cool what College Baseball Hub did because the there's seven preseason polls out there and what they did was a hybrid ranking. Basically I'm going to pull up the graphic here is they gave each team a point system based off their rankings around all those seven preseason polls and then ranked them based off of that. So Texas had the most points because they were rated overall, the highest out of those seven. And then you can go on and on for each team. So I'm going to let you guys take a look at this and enjoy. Alright guys, hopefully you got something from today or at least had fun with these top 25. Make sure you go watch college baseball either on TV or even more importantly in person at your local school, like local college, local universities, or go travel around to some of the schools. If you can make it work in your schedule, I'll see you in the next video.

Most families are not missing scholarship money because their athlete is unqualified.

Two families DM’d me this week with the exact opposite problem. Same answer for both. 👇

Thousands of families are on a waitlist for something that does not open for another week.
