Top 25 for D1, D2, & D3 Baseball Schools - 2023

Hey, how you doing? Alex here. Thanks for joining me. In today's episode, we are taking a look at the preseason top 25 for not only Division 1 baseball, but for Division 2 baseball and Division 3 baseball. It is an exciting time of the year. As of this recording, we are three days away from Division 1 baseball. Starting their season. D2 is already rocking and rolling. D3 is already rocking and rolling. And maybe by the time you are watching this, we are rocking and rolling for the Division 1 ranks as well. And really the purpose of this video is to share those schools preseason so you can even come back mid season and even at the end of the season, see where these schools end up as well. I'm sure it's going to be really shaken up and some of these schools are not going to be on this list and new schools will be on this list, which is the cool thing about this. The other reason is also your awareness of schools. There's so many great schools out there for college baseball and even some that a lot that are not on this list. And I want you to be aware of these good baseball programs. Awareness is one of the first things that we need as we go through this college recruiting process. Of course, school information as well, because that's very, very important from GPA to all the school information. And this is Duke. Been getting amazing feedback on it and guys are connecting with coaches at the next level. So with that said, let's get into Division 1 baseball in the preseason top 25. So here it is. Collegebaseballhub.com put this together, this graphic together and even really this preseason, this composite top 25. So they took about seven or eight polls and I just love this. I think they've been doing this for a year or two. And it was off of a point system. So any team that got ranked number one got 25 points. Okay. Out of the top 25, preseason top 25 out of all these different polls. Because there's a bunch of different polls. And if you got number two, you got 24 points. If you got number three, you got 23 points. And then they added them all up and LSU is at number one. And that is no surprise because they have just, they are absolutely loaded. From pitching staff to position players to hitting, they are just loaded. Tennessee's not far behind them. So Tennessee's number two. Coming in at number three is Stanford. Coming in at number four is Texas A&M. Number five, Florida. Number six, Arkansas. Number seven, Wake Forest, which is really cool to see there, man. They've been kind of in the thick of things over the last few years. And coach Walter over there is that. He's awesome, man. He's. He's a great coach. Ole Miss, where I used to be at, coming in number eight and former national championship champions, which is fantastic. Number nine, Vanderbilt. Number 10, Louisville. Number 11, Oklahoma State. Tied for number 12 is Miami and North Carolina. And remember this is off a point system. Number 14, UCLA. Number 15, Maryland. Number 16, TCU. Number 17, Virginia Tech. Number 18. That mid major and they're a powerhouse mid major. East Carolina. Another mid major, Southern miss. Tied for 19. Another 19 is Virginia. 21 is Texas Tech. 22 is Oregon. 23 is NC State. 24 is Oregon State and 25 is UC Santa Barbara and some other votes is Auburn, Texas, Alabama, Arizona State, Mississippi State, Texas State, Georgia Tech, South Carolina and Florida State. So keep your eyes on this. And guys, there's more baseball broadcasted now than ever. All right? So, like whether it's on ESPN or their networks, SEC Network, watch these games on the weekends. They play Friday, Saturday, Sunday, usually on Tuesdays and sometimes on Wednesdays. Check them out and watch the competition, watch how they play the game, because this is what we're striving for. This is what we're going for. You need to watch these guys as much as you possibly can. So let's get into. And again, thanks to College Baseball Hub. Putting that together. It was just, it's awesome. They have a board with all the scores and live scores as well. They just, they've been around for a while and their platform is just getting better and bigger, honestly, which is, which is great. So let's get into D2 baseball. College baseball Hub also put this together from the voting of the ncba, the National College Baseball Writers Association. Hopefully I got that right. I think I remember. That's right. But this is D2 preseason top 25. So North Greenville coming in at number one. I'm going to do the top 10 here and some other highlights. So number two, Southern Arkansas. Number three, Tampa. I mean, they're always consistently in that in the top 10. Tampa is just a powerhouse in Florida. Point Luma out there in California, had a great season. Made it to the College World Series last year for Division 2, Angelo State. Coming in, number 5, number 6, Columbus State. Number 7, Westchester. Number 8, Southern New Hampshire. Number 9, Illinois of Springfield, and number 10, Rollins. Some other kind of highlights. Wingate at number 12, Lenore Ryan coming in at number 16, West Texas A&M at 17. Let's see Millersville out in PA. Really good facility up there. Definitely check those out. Nova Southeastern down in Florida coming in at number 22. East Stroudsburg coming in tied with 23. Good program. So check these out and if you get on the app, you can save a lot of you save these schools to your school list and keep track of them there. So let's get to Division three. So they took the polls from Division three baseball and then NCBAWA poll as well. Salisbury coming in at number two one over Eastern Connecticut, who won the national championship last year. Number three, LA Range, College number four Birmingham Southern a great school down there in Alabama Beautiful Campus Number 5 Trinity Number 6 Marietta Number 7 Chapman this is Cool Number 8 University of Wisconsin Stevens Point and coming in Number 8 University of Washington's Whitewater so they're going to have a little in state battle there number 10 Baldwin Wallace other thing other schools to keep Denison coming in at number 18 Ithaca at 19 Catholic in D.C. that coaches staff did an amazing job up there they made it to the college World Series last year for Division 3 baseball so keep an eye on them and a good school as well so check out Division 3 check out all these schools not only just the D1s but check out the D2s and D3s and let me know of any other schools down in the comments below if they you think that are going to be on this list or maybe some predictions as far as who's going to win the national title.
