What does it take to play at the next level? Whether that's D1, D2, D3, NAIA or JUCO. It takes a strategic plan of action so we can actually get to where we want to be and not just wing this or just hope it's going to happen. Hope is not a good strategy in this process. It also takes perseverance. I got a lot of no's before I got that yes and especially if you're an athlete that's not elite and it was like me, I wasn't elite by any means. I was a good athlete but I wasn't going to wow you with my metrics. It takes that plan of action. It takes targeting schools that are good fit for you athletically, academically, geographically, socially, maybe majors. Why? If you know what you're going to study, an exposure process and a communication process. That is what it takes to play at the next level. Be proactive in this process. If you do that, you're going to best position yourself.
