Ontario's only beachfront winery sits on Lake Erie, where visitors hunt for beach glass and shells washed ashore from shipwrecks. The lakeside location makes it a casual spot to swim, hunt, and drink wine all in one place.
We had to do a thing.
Beach glass.
Yeah, we're Ontario's only beachfront winery, so we're like, we need to do a beach thing, obviously. And it's amazing how many people come out here just walking along the beach looking for beach glass and shells and all that stuff. Really? Yeah, it's a thing.
Do they find beach glass here?
Tons.
Wow.
Lake Erie has like a billion shipwrecks, and it also has a couple of big cities along the water. So it's just like all this glass ends up getting churned up and sent onshore. And yeah, tons of it.
I had no idea that happens.
I'm going to go. We're going to go look after.
Done.
Awesome.
All right, so the beach glass is actually no joke. We found all of this beach glass on the shore, which is really quite awesome. Do you want to go for a swim? It looks nice.
