That's. Come on. All right, you guys need to help me. We're gonna get this volume up. I want you standing up. It's early in the morning. Let's get some energy. Come on. We're gonna work on your mindset today. We're gonna work on what you believe today. We're gonna change and shift your attitude, which is going to change your altitude. So come on, let's be low energy. Come on. Where's that volume? Let's get this thing up. This is it. You are limitless. That's what we're starting today. What do you believe about yourself? What do you believe you're capable of? Where is your mindset today? That's what we're going to talk about. So come on. Come on. Bigger. You're stronger. All right. I'm going to have to come in the crowd because y' all are just standing. All right, who's dancing? Come on, let's go, go. Let's go. Pop a little bit. Come on. Get your energy going. Where you at? Come on. I know you're stepping out of your comfort zone. Come on. Come on. Once again. Oh, come on, Paula. Come on. Come on. Keep it going. No limit. Come on. You gotta believe it. I'm looking. How many of you believe it? I'm looking in your eyes. Do you believe it? You can't achieve it if you don't believe it. You gotta break through those mindsets and say you can't. You won't, and you'll never, because you can. You will, and you are bigger, longer, stronger. All my kids would be so embarrassed right now if they were here. All right, do something for me. Stay standing. I want you to repeat after me three simple statements, and I want you to do it like you mean it. Are you ready? They're up here. I will. I can. I am. It's on your desk, on your table. You've got a bracelet I've given you. Repeat after me on the count of three. Are you ready? 1, 2, 3. I will. I can. I am. Let's do it again. I will. I can. I am. One more time. I will. I can. I am. All right, well done. Give yourself a hand. Come on, now. Y' all can grab a seat. I figured I needed to get you guys up and popping this morning. You've got a long day. I want to get that energy going, that blood flowing. And I want to talk to you today about your mindset. About what you believe. Not what you say you believe out here and you project, but what you truly believe. In here. And what you say to yourself in here that no one else can hear. Because what happens in here and here affects what goes on out here. And if we don't recognize that and understand that where our limitations are, we're going to settle for something less than we were called, born, and created for. And I don't want you to do that. So here's what I know. Words have power. Would you agree? Words have power. Not just the words up here that you tell yourself, but the words you speak. They ripple into the atmosphere and they impact the people in the world around you. I want you to feel this. And so we're going to do something, okay? I want you to just trust me. I know you don't know me, but trust me for just a minute. I want you to understand the weight of the power of your words. Okay? So I'm going to have you repeat after me again, but we're going to change the narrative just a little bit. Okay? First thing you're going to do is I want you to declare this out loud. And you're going to do it with me. We'll do it together. They're up on the screen. On the count of three, I want you to declare this out loud. Ready? One, two, three. I won't ever be successful. Well, where is everyone else? Come on, now. Going to do this with me? On the count of three. I know it's hard. Trust me. We're going to go through a process. You're with me. On the count of three. One, two, three. I won't ever be successful. I can't do anything right. I'm not very smart. Let's do it one more time. I won't ever be successful. I can't do anything right. I'm not very smart. Are you excited now? Y' all ready? Like, hey, let's go. You can conquer the world. Did you feel that? Some of you refuse to say it. Okay. But I'm going to take you one step farther. I want you to find someone and turn to them right now. If there's three of you, I want you to look each other in the face. Come on, turn. And I want you to declare this over the people next to you. I know. Trust me. I want you to speak this out loud to them. Are you ready? 1, 2, 3. You won't ever be successful. You can't do anything right. You are not very smart. Come on, one more time. Let's do it. You like you mean it? Okay. One, two, three. You won't ever be successful. Look at Them. Look at them. You can't do anything right. You're not very smart. Okay, you can stop doing it now. You don't have to keep saying it. Some of you guys. Okay, I'm watching. I'm seeing who are going, oh, wait, you mean I can stop? Yeah, yeah, stop. All right, so here's what I want you to understand. Think about this. Now, just on a serious note, on a ser. I want you to think about this two things. First, when you were declaring it out loud about yourself, how did you feel? How many of you just like, I'm not going to say this. How many did not refuse to say it? Good for you. But you said it. Those of you that said it, how did you feel? Did you feel light and excited and ready for the day? No. You felt heavy. Like, this is not fun. This is not what I signed up for. This is not what I planned on today. But I need you guys to understand something. You do this every day, and you don't even realize you're doing it. You speak death over yourselves by the words you speak, not even knowing that you do it. And you've done it for so long, you think it's normal. So the weight that you feel in your day, whether it's in your head or out loud, it's just how life is. But it's not. And you've got to start recognizing it. So when you spoke it out loud yourself, that's one thing. What was it like when you looked at someone else and said to them, you won't. You can't, or you'll never. How many of you didn't refuse to do that? Like, I'm not going to say this right. I understand. But I want you to understand something. This happens every single day of our lives to our youth and our young people, our teenagers, our 20s, our 30s. Doesn't matter how old we are. We live in this space where we are speaking things to other people. Hey, you'll never really be any good at that. Hey, our family has never been good at this. Hey, I know you like that, but that's really not going to give you a good future. We do this and we don't even realize it. We're declaring over ourselves and the people around us, lies that end up becoming ceilings over their lives that cause us to settle for something less than what we were born and created for. Now, I needed you to feel this. I wanted to do this. The reason I asked you to do it, because you could feel it. Our words not only affect out here, they affect in here, we feel them in our physical body, in our mindset and our emotions and our feelings. Our words have power, not just here, but here. And this is more important than here, because what happens here plays out here. Are you tracking with me? Do you understand what I'm saying? Do you grasp the feeling in the way that I wanted you to feel it? Because I don't want you to live there. I want you to recognize when you go there. And I want you to shift and change to get out of there. You weren't created for. I can't. I won't. I'll never. Now I want to change the energy. I'm not going to leave you there. Okay? Words kill. Words give life. They're either poison or fruit. I love the very last two words. Declare them out loud with me. What are the last two words you choose? Shift it to personal. I choose. Say it with me. I choose. One more time. I choose. Life happens. We're going to talk about that in a minute. There's a lot that goes on out here, but you choose. You choose the word you speak. You choose what you're going to believe, what you're to declare, what you're going to say internally and externally. Words kill. Words give life. You just felt it. You choose. So here's the other thing I believe. I believe that we are committed to what we confess. So when we speak things out, there's something that happens in the subconscious of our lives that agrees with that, aligns with it and begins to live it out. You may not think about it that way, you may not believe it that way, but it's true. So when we declare things, we're committed to that. So when you declare things like, I will, I won't, I can't, I'll never. You are telling your body, your emotions, your mind, your will, your subconscious, let's not do this. We can't do this. We'll never be this. We can't accomplish that. And so what happens when we declare these things and begin to live this way is we begin to get what we're declaring. And so now it's reinforcing us in that space that says, oh, yeah, see, my history tells me I can't, I won't, and I'll never. But it only tells you that because that's what you've told it. That's what you've declared, and that's where you stood. We're committed to what we confess. What are you confessing in your lives? What are you declaring over yourself? Your family, your Children, your future, your career, your business, your community. What kind of language and conversations are you having? Because it matters. See, words have power because words come with energy. What you felt in your bodies was energy. The energy of someone else. When someone said to you, you can't, you won't, you're never. You felt. It's like, back up. You could feel the energy hitting you, couldn't you? How many felt that energy? Like, man, I don't want to receive that. Because words have power. Words are filled with energy. Your words matter. We're committed to what we confess. So now I want to change the energy. Got to change the energy. It can't leave you there. But I need you to feel that we're going to talk about I will, I can and I am. But I want to unpack it for you. I want to give it a little more depth, a little bit more meaningful. As we look at this, in the. The I will statement, when you say I will, you are committing to your goals. You're committing to your future. You're taking control of your life. You're making a declaration that will step you closer and into the limitless life you were born and created for. I will is a powerful statement because it's calling you forward, not backwards. It's calling you to a place, a destiny, a future. I will do well today. I will get this sale. I will speak better. I will love better. I will be confident. It's calling you into a space that you may not have stepped in, but those words will move you there before you step there. And then what happens is your subconscious says, hey, boss said we will. Let's make sure we do. Just like when we say we won't, subconscious says, boss says, don't. Let's not. It matters when you declare I can. It's a declaration of your potential. I can do hard things. That's my wife's and my statement. So we've been. I'm gonna confess this to you. I think she just showed up in the back somewhere. So this morning at 5:30am we woke up, as we do every Monday, Wednesday and Friday, we got into our cars and we drove into Houston. And he went to this place that says, basically, embrace. I can't say the word Hoover. Embrace the Hoover. You know what a Hoover is? A vacuum. What do vacuums do? Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Somebody said it. I just don't like saying that word. So embrace the Hoover, right? In other words, it's a cold plunge. How many of you have experienced the cold plunge? Now, I'm not talking about your backyard cool. In the winter when it's 73 degrees, that's cold. That's what my wife and I were doing and then we experienced the cold plunge. 41 degrees. Uh huh. In a tub, submerged, sitting there for at least three minutes. I will, I can, I am. Our statement is, our statement is we do hard things first. And that's our declaration. I could do hard things. It makes a difference. And yes, that water's cold and every time the water's cold. But when I get out of there, the energy I feel, the clarity I feel, the alive that my body feels is transformational. I've been doing, we've been doing it for about a month, a month and a half now. Everything has changed. My days, my energy, my focus. Because we've chosen to do hard things. We said we can. There's another person that has come in there that we've watched them come in and they're learning and they're in that tub for about 20 seconds and that's awesome and I'm proud of them. We encourage them and that's exciting. But they're sitting there the whole time going, I can't do this, I can't do this. I can't do this. 20 seconds in, they're up and out. It's not that they can't do this, but they've convinced themselves they can't. It's cold. It's not going to be warm the next time it's cold. But my mind has power for me to maintain and stand in a place that everyone says is hard. You are so much more capable of things than you realize. And it all begins here. How you believe. So I can. We said I will, I can. The last one is I am. I am defines who you are. It's about identity. It's who you're becoming. It's a powerful statement over your life, your identity, your future. It's about owning who you are, owning your identity. It's about living into that identity and truth every day. I am able to do hard things. I am strong. I am courageous. I am fearless. Words matter. If nothing else happens today in our time together, I want you to understand something. Your future today, the next five hours, next 10 hours. No matter what happens in the world around you, no matter what goes on in your life, your family, the things you can't control, the things that come in, the unexpected, it doesn't matter. It's going to happen. You can't control out here. But how you choose to go through that, you get to decide. You are in so much more control and power of your life than you realize. And we give so much authority and the power away to the world around us that we end up becoming slaves to the world. When freedom is right inside of us, it doesn't mean hard things go away. It doesn't mean that difficulties and challenges and traumas don't happen in our lives. They happen every day. Some of you are sitting in some trauma right now. You're sitting in some brokenness, you're sitting in some loss, you're sitting in some pain. I understand. And maybe there's nothing you can do about the brokenness and the pain and the challenge that you're in. It's outside of your control, but you are in it. So you can decide how I'm going to view it, what I'm going to declare about it, how I'm going to posture myself, how I'm going to live in it. And through it. You get to decide that. Don't give that authority your future, your belief, your strength, your courage away to anything else. It doesn't mean it goes away. What it means is how you process it, how you live it, how you show up in it changes. So are you ready to change the energy? I don't want to leave you where we were. So we're going to make these declarations again. I want you to stand up because it's power. Now you're going to stand up and we're going to start with, I will. So this is for you. Come on, stand up with me. Get on your feet. You got that energy, that blood. I want you to declare it now like you mean it. Now. I want you to do this like you need it. Okay? So after three, I'm going to count to three. We're going to do this together. These three statements. Ready? One, two, three. I will be successful. I can do anything. I am smart. Come on, do it again. I will be successful. I can do anything. I am smart. One more time, let me hear you. I will be successful. Come on. Do you believe it? Do you believe it? You've got to believe it. And you start by declaring it. Now, you got some friends around you that you spoke death over. You need to bring that back. All right? So I want you to look at those people, whoever it was. And now we're going to make these declarations again. We're going to shift that energy on account of three. Look at them. See them? 1, 2, 3. You will. You can. You are. Again. You will. You can. You are. One. More time. I want to hear. Everybody, on the count of three, look at them. In the face, in the eye. One, two, three. You will. You. You. Awesome. Give yourselves a hand. You can grab a seat. Now, it's about awareness. I want to create some awareness for you. How did you feel with those declarations? Did you feel the energy shift in your body, in your mind? It didn't make everything go away, but it changes. The energy, the focus. Did you feel the difference in the declaration? I will. I can. I am. I don't know what you finish it with, but that's why I've given you these bracelets. That's why I wrote the book. Because I want you to understand that you were born limitless. You were. Whether you believe it right now or not, you were. There is a future and a hope in front of you that's been untapped and unrealized because you have found limiting beliefs that have become ceilings over your lives. We're going to talk about that in just a second. I want to unpack that, But I want you to recognize, what was that energy like when I declared that over me? How was it different? Just want to sit there for a minute? Think about the energy you felt when you made that declaration over yourself. Yeah. Okay. Now, when you spoke it over someone else, how'd you feel? Did you like declaring that over somebody else? It makes us feel good to say that to somebody. You could do anything. Love to say that to our kids, our spouses. We don't say it enough. You're smart, you're capable, you're awesome. You can. You will. You are going to crush that test today. You are going to get that sale today. You are going to bring in that new member to the Chamber today, right? Yes. Okay. See these guys? Listen, look out. There's going to be a bunch of new map. What chamber are you guys? Clear Lake. All right, there you go. Hey, the rest of y' all gonna be chasing Clear Lake in membership, I'm telling you, okay? The energy, right there. So listen, when you declare that over someone else, it not only helps them, but it helps you because you feel better. When we're. Gratitude, thankfulness, declaring, positivity over someone, it affects our energy, not just theirs. How did you feel when someone said that over you? When someone looked at you and said, you are, you can and you will, did you feel that energy? Did you feel a bit stronger? Did you sit up a little bit straighter? When I do this in small groups and we're doing stuff, I watch the body language. The first I can't, I will and I won't. You see people just kind of going, ugh. And they're just heavy. Then when we go, I can, I will and I am. And you can, you will and you are. I watch them, their back straightens up and they sit up and all of a sudden they're sitting in a posture that says, yes, I can do hard things. I can do anything. Guys. I wanted you to experience that because it's real and it happens every day, thousands of times a day. You're making a decision by your words and your language that are impacting your outcomes. So I want to dig into this just a little bit. If you've got your phone, I'm giving you a gift. This screenshot here is a two way book. It's a free book. It's James Allen's book and it's As a man thinks. It's a classic book. It's about your mindset. I read it every year. It will take you to my link tree page. When you get to that page, just scroll down until you see as a man thinks, there's other free stuff on there and things I want you to have this book as a man Thinks on my Link tree. Scroll down, click on it, put your information. You will get a download of this book. It is free to you and I promise you, if you read it and engage it. Anyone ever read this book before? Anyone know this book? Few of you. Okay. The rest of you, watch out. It will change your life. It's a powerful, simple, short book. It's written in kind of old English, so you got to get through some of the language. Right. But it is powerful. But I love this quote he said. It's James Allen said this in the book. Man is made or unmade by himself, man or woman. In the armory of thought, he forges the weapons by which he destroys himself. And he also fashions the tools with which he builds for himself. Heavenly mansions of joy, strength and peace. What stands out in this man, woman is made or unmade by himself. In the armory of his thoughts. It's just true. Where are your thoughts? What are you declaring of yourself, your family, your work and others? Hopefully you got a copy of that. If not, you let me know. I'll make sure you get a. Get a link to that. So this is what I believe and this is the book that I wrote. I believe everyone is born limitless. The real question I'm asking you today to consider is whether or not you believe that or not. We have a Lot of excuses. We have a lot of things. When that statement comes out, I'll talk to people one on one. But, Rick, you don't understand. I know that you say that. I know you're a person of faith. I know you believe this. But you don't know my story. You don't know my life. You don't know the conditions of my birth. And you're right, I don't. So what gets in the way of believing that we are born limitless? And here's what happens. I believe in your conception, in your creativeness. This is my posture. You don't have to agree with it, but this is what I. This is the lens I wear that I look at every one of you in. It drives what I do. You were born limitless. And then what happens? Life. Life. Things we don't expect, things we do expect, things we cause, things we don't cause. Life happens. Circumstances happen. Situations happen. Both of my children, for those of you that know me and my wife's story, are adopted. They were adopted from birth. Both of the birth mothers of my children conceived in an aggressive, violent act. The world said to them and to that child, and this isn't about choice or not choice or any of that. This is just about a situation. I want you to understand something. The world said that was not expected, it was not wanted, it was not asked for, it was not desired. So therefore, the thought, the mindset was, this isn't real. We can do whatever we need to do in this situation. The world said, there's a lot of choices you can make. Let me just say that these two young women, 16 and 15, at the times of their conception, I think it was 16 and 17, they made a decision for life. This isn't a. This is not political. I want you to understand the story. They made a decision for life. Those two children are now our children. We've been given to steward. Well, I tell you that because then my son and my daughter have grown up. My son is 29, my daughter's 26. And they went through a season of extreme challenge of identity and belief because of a circumstance of their conception. My son found out about this and he realized, hey, I was conceived in violence. I must be violent, I must be angry. This is now my identity. And he began to manifest that belief about himself because of a circumstance and how he interpreted it or defined it. And he went through a long season of difficulty and challenge and wrestling and suicide. Now he's come through it. He's on the other side. He's learning, growing and becoming. But he's declaring differently, he's thinking differently. He's resetting how he defined a situation and a circumstance that he had no control over. I want you to understand this. It's not the trauma in our lives. It's not the situations or the circumstances. Life will happen. You can't control it. Here's where the power is, and it's up here. And I want you to understand this. It's how we interpret those experiences. How you interpret an experience in your life begins to shape what you believe about yourself, about people, about the world, about life, about anything. So you have an experience, you interpret it. That must mean I am, you are, they are, the world is. And as I interpret it and define that experience, it begins to settle in as a belief. I now believe that the world is, I am, people are, situations are. And so now the lens on my eyes, the lens that I put to view the world, is now tainted by this past experience and how I interpreted it. So we create these lenses. All of us are wearing lenses. Whether you really have glasses or not, you are all wearing glasses. You have lenses. By what you're viewing and interpreting the world, it's not good or bad. This is a neutral statement. We all have them. And those lenses are shaped and formed by how we have interpreted and gone through the experiences of our lives. And sometimes we do it well and sometimes we don't. This is not a judgment thing. It's just the reality of the journey and the story of our lives. And so these lenses then become marred and scarred by these experiences and how we interpret them. And now we begin to see and look at our future as if this is just how life is. And what do we say? Well, this is just how life's always been. This is normal for me. We repeat the narrative so often and so long that it's just become part of our story. And now it's just normal. You understand? You've been there. Like, this is. No, you guys don't understand this. In my life, it's always been. It's always worked out. Every time I've tried, I've ended up back here. This is normal. What I want to do part of today is to. I want you to challenge your normal. What if the normal you're settling for in this area of your life, whatever it is, it's not your whole life, but there are areas in your life that you've settled for normal. You've called it normal. Can I challenge that? What if that normal you're settling for? Isn't normal. What if it was never meant to be your normal? Maybe it is normal. Maybe that's how it is. Maybe that's just the way life is. And it's true. But I've done a lot of coaching in the last 25 years. I've worked with a lot of individuals, from CEOs to couples to young people, around this idea of limiting beliefs and mindsets and the normals they've accepted in their lives that have put a ceiling over their lives and caused them to settle for something less than what they were born and created for. But it's normal. So the first question is, what if that normal you're settling for isn't normal? Would you be willing to challenge that? When I coach with people, if they're willing to challenge normal, man, everything changes. Because the possibilities, the opportunities, the view, the vision, all changes. But our problem is we've been saying things are normal for so long, and we've allowed our past to define our future. This is what we do. The past experiences that happen, we call them forward, and they become the lens by which we view our future. Do me a favor and put your hands out in front of you with your fingers wide, both hands like this. And I want you to look at me. Now you can see me. You know I'm here. But you're missing pieces, right? It's not a clear picture. When we allow our past to be the lenses by which we view our future, we settle for something less than what is actually possible. We have a view that is skewed from what is actually there. Then when you move those fingers away, all of a sudden you have a clear sight line. It's clear. It's okay. I see something different. There's actually something else here that I couldn't see before. That's what happens. Our past becomes the lens by which we view our future. And it was never meant to be the lens by which we view our future. Your past was meant to inform you, refine you, but never to define you. And when you allow your past to be the lens that you view your future, it starts defining you and you start settling. And when you settle, you begin to put a ceiling over your life. And that ceiling, you don't even know is there. But that ceiling is the wall. The ceiling which you hit your head against. Oh, I can go this far and no farther. This is the extent of what I can do. This is my greatness. It ends here. This is all. This is where it stopped. This is what I'm capable of. And so you have this ceiling over your life that you have called normal and you've settled in for because your past is defining your future. And now you're settling in this place where there's a ceiling. What I want to encourage you with today, how are we going to make that ceiling our floor? There should be no ceilings over your life. I don't know what your capacity, your capability, your future, your destiny is, but I know it's greater than what you're living in right now. And you could be extremely sick. Rick, I'm successful. I've got. Yeah, but there's more. Not stuff, not things, but influence and impact. A future and hope, a legacy, a life that can be lived and ripple into the lives of others. Stuff will come and go. How many of you have settled for normal and have a ceiling over your life that you didn't even know was there? So how do we break through the ceiling? I want to give you some practical things. First we got to do is we got to challenge normal. You got to challenge normal. You got to. What if this normal that I'm calling normal isn't normal? Maybe you need to get some help. Maybe you talk to somebody. Get with somebody that can say, hey, I've got this normal that I've settled. I'm wondering if it's really not normal. I'm wondering if there's something else, something more, something greater. If I can clean my lenses. See, this process that you're seeing up here, this is the process of cleaning our lenses. But to clean our lenses, we've got to realize they're marked and scarred, that they are influencing our sight. So first thing is challenge normal. Second thing, believe. Just believe. Sometimes we have to believe before we believe, before we belive. Sometimes I need to believe something before I can belive it, and that's okay. My life doesn't reflect what I'm declaring. It's okay, keep declaring it. I promise you it will. Promise you it will. So begin by believing, you can, you will, and you are. Remove the buts. No buts allowed. You want to know where a limiting belief is in your life? Pay attention to your words, your language, what you're saying. When you say but 98 of the time, if there's a good. So this I know. There are good butts and there are bad butts. Leave it, leave it, leave it. But it's. I heard you. It's true. There are some good butts and there's some bad buts. Most of the butts are bad buts. Because every time you use the word but, you negate everything you said before it. Hey, I could do this. I'd love to do that. I can. We can. But. But. When you say but, you just take everything you said and said. I don't really believe it. It's really not possible. It's not true. I'm putting it on the shelf. But thank you anyways. Your limiting belief is found after the but. And what you say there, it's going to tell you what you actually really believe about yourself. So pay attention to where you use but for the next 24 to 48 hours, I promise you, all of you are going to hear yourself say but more than you've ever heard before. And when you hear yourself say that, I want you just take note. What am I saying that about? And what am I stating after it? That's going to identify a place of limitation in your life 90% of the time. Now, there are good buts. And the good but is, hey, I can't do this very well. I've never really done this. But I'm going to kill it. But I'm going to give it my best. But now you're calling yourself forward with the but. You're taking the negative and saying, I'm killing the negative and moving forward. There are good buts. And you want to live in the good buts, faith thing, place, thoughts. I'm gonna go past that next thing. Declare the truth. To declare truth, you've got to recognize there's a lie. And when you recognize the lie, the limiting belief, what is the truth? Replace it. Now, I'm not very smart. So here's my story. I wrote a book. Yay. You know how long it took me to write that book? Five, six years, right? Because I had this belief that I couldn't. I wasn't a good writer. You know why? Because in sixth grade in English class, we were meant to write a paper. I wrote a paper about my family. My family was challenged. Single mom. But I wrote. I was very proud of. I was telling my story very vulnerable. I got that paper back and it was filled with red marks and I got a D on it. It wasn't that the content was bad, and I understand looking back at it, but it was grammar. And the way I wrote it wasn't very good. And the red pen was signifying there's a lot of things to fix. I interpreted that as I can't write. I was vulnerable and it wasn't received. I am no longer going to put myself in that space. I'm Not a writer. But I had this in me that I desired to write. I desired to put this out as part of my coaching format, and I wanted to declare it, and I wanted to get it out because I think it's valuable, because we all wrestle with this two, three years. I'm trying. I just can't get. I'm like, why am I struggling? Every time I do this, I hit a wall because my language is saying, I will, I can't, I won't, and I'll never. Finally, I recognized that I dealt with that. I went to the lie that said I'm not a good writer. How I interpreted that experience, the teacher wasn't telling me that she wasn't trying to do. There was nothing bad in that situation, but I interpreted it in a negative way, so I flipped it. I am a good writer. I can write. I have something to say. I'm valuable. I'm capable. I'm writing a book. I got a writing coach. Six months later, the book was done. That book launched May 7, and on May 14, it made a bestseller list. I can write. I am capable of writing. I have something to say. There's value in who I am. But you understand, we all have those places where we've kind of put it on the shelf and said, we can't, and it's a lie. Declare the truth. Begin to declare the truth. You'll believe. You'll begin to behave in a manner. Choose gratitude. You cannot choose gratitude and be in a pit. You cannot be grateful. Declare thankfulness, bless someone, serve someone, and stay in a pit. It pulls you out of that for that moment. You guys know this. Live in a place of gratitude. Be grateful and thankful for the life you live, the air you breathe, the relationship you have, even the trials you're going through. I'm not thankful for the trial. I'm thankful in the trial. There's a difference. I'm not thankful for the trials I'm going through, but I'm thankful in it. I'm going to be thankful and be grateful. I'm going to press through this with the things that I can control. Are you all tracking with me? Are you still. Are you still good? The last thing is declare I will, I can, and I am. And you finish each one of those. Whatever your statement is, whatever your value is, whatever you're trying to change, make that declaration. So this is what happens when you do that. You're cleaning your lens so that you can see your future. What did I say? Your past was never meant to define your future. Inform it, refine it, but not define it. See, you are the author and the star of your story, your future. It's a blank page. The next five hours haven't happened yet. The next two weeks haven't happened yet. It's a blank page and it's your story. You're the author. But too many of us have given the pen to someone else. A circumstance, a life, a situation, a person, a company, a business, an economy, a government. We give the pen to someone else and they start writing our story for us. And we just walk in and accept it as this is how it is. You're the author. You get to be the star. Pick up the pen and start writing. You may not control the circumstances, the environment, or the people around you, and you don't. But you sure that you sure can control how you walk into it, how you think about it, what you believe, how you're going to engage it, how you're going to see going through it, not to it. Another great principle. You're not going to something, you're going through something. When you understand you're going through it, you know there's something on the other side. All pain is temporary. I know sometimes it doesn't feel that way. And I've been through a lot of pain in my life and situations and loss and grief and challenge. But all pain is temporary. Can we just hang on and see that? We're going through it, not to it. We think we're going to it, then we stuck in it. And it's not the end of your story. Whatever you're in today, whatever you're doing today, whatever you're feeling today, wherever you're at today, it's not the end of your story. So pick up the pen and start writing. Change your language, change your declarations. May feel awkward and weird and strange at first, but I promise you, over time it becomes natural. You'll walk straighter, you'll feel better, your health will be better. Everything is impacted by your beliefs. So I want to share. As we go through this and you clean that lens, you now have a view of your future. Creativity, innovation, possibility, hope, aspirations, growth. It's all part of that future. And it's all waiting for you. No matter where you are, there's something greater in front of you. Clean the lenses, identify the lies. Replace them with truths. Begin to declare. I've said this a bunch of. As I get ready to close, I want you to understand your past was never meant to define your future. I'll say it again and again and Again, don't allow it to define you. You're the author. You're the star of your story. So I'm going to share a little framework with you because I want you to understand this process. I didn't create this thought process. This is just a truth. And it's not positive or negative. It's a truth. And it's in the book Born Limitless, my book that I'm sharing with you guys today. You can get access to today. It's just one piece of my coaching process, which is about our limitations and our limiting beliefs, where they come from. What I want you to see and understand with this is we all have outcomes in our lives that we are getting. There's outcomes. Fruit of your life, right? There's things that you get in your life, good and bad, neutral, those outcomes. That fruit of our life comes from a behavior. Every outcome can be traced to an action. Something that we do. Again, neutral, good and bad, doesn't matter. We do something, there's a result. We do something, there's a result. Action, reaction, we act and there's. There's a fruit. Where does our behaviors come from? Now it's more complicated. But I want you to understand at a surface level, this is. You can grab this and change your life. All of our behaviors, 100 of our behaviors, are driven from a belief. Your behaviors come from something you believe. The challenge is we don't typically know what we believe that causes us to drive to do something. We just do it. Not understanding that that behavior is attached to a belief in us, a construct. Our beliefs are formed by how we interpret life throughout our lives, how we interpret situations. We create a belief system around that. That belief then causes us. We are wired in such a way that our behaviors have to align with our beliefs. You know this because anytime you try to change a behavior, have you ever tried to change a behavior and you found yourself right back in that same place? Or worse? Am I the only one? Come on now. Right? We've behavior modification. We change behaviors. Hey, I don't like what I'm getting. I'm going to get a new system, a new process, a new way to do this, a new behavior. I'm going to get up earlier. I'm going to read more. I'm going to do this. And you have to do those things to get a different outcome. Truth. The problem is we work so hard and we grind at changing our behaviors. And the majority of the time, depending on how strong our will is, we get great results, different results. But something happens A gut punch, something unexpected, and bam, we're right back where we were going. Man, how did I get back here again? I put all these processes in this accountability, this system in changed all these actions to get a different result, and it was working. And all of a sudden, I'm back and it's not anymore. And so we excuse it away, or we say we never could, or we justified. And the problem was what we never addressed, the belief that was on the other side of that behavior. When you understand that behaviors are tied to beliefs, then you go one step back and you begin to deal with the belief that's driving the behavior. So when the belief changes, the behavior has to follow. We are made in a way that behaviors and beliefs must align. They cannot work separately. Now our will can say, I can act differently for a while, but we can't sustain it. So our beliefs. The beliefs are formed when life happens and how we interpret it. This is the narrative. This is what goes on at a high level. There's more to it. But in general, I want you to understand this. So if there's an area in your life that you don't like, the result you're not very good at, that may be a limiting belief. It's a lens that you're viewing this area of your life. You can't. You won't. You'll never. You go, man, I want to change that. You absolutely have to change behaviors, Get a coach, get what you need, do change systems, get processes, get help, whatever it is, change your behaviors. But take the time to step one step behind and go, why do I act this way? Why do I do these? Where did this come from? What is the belief that's driving this behavior? And then ask yourself a question. Is that belief a truth or a lie? Is it based on a truth or a lie? My kids, my son's belief was based on a lie. How he interpreted a bad situation, terrible situation, he interpreted it and defined it as it must be. This is who I am. This is how my life should be. This is how I'm going to live. So he defined that trauma this way, and his life began to reflect that truth. This is what I believe. So let my life play out, reinforcing what I believe. So we've worked hard to change his belief. Are you guys tracking with me? Y' all okay? It got really quiet. Come on, some. Give me a. Give me a. You know, if I was a pastor for 10, 12 years, I'm not. This is scary, but if you just say a little amen here and there. Then I'm good. Okay? Because otherwise, I'm gonna pass the plate, and we're gonna be here because the doors are locked, so that plate is full. Hey, I got my Amen. Hey. Now we're going. But listen, I hope you're catching this. I want you to understand, this is powerful. When we begin to understand this framework, we know where we need to go to change it. We can start identifying the lies and replacing them with the truth. So this is what I believe, and I'm going to close with this. I believe that you are born limitless. Life happens. We make decisions about that, beliefs about that. We act in a certain way, and we get certain outcomes. I want you to do me a favor. As we finish up, got two more things I want to do. So I want you to stand up again, and I want you to make these declarations. And I want you to do it like you mean it. You don't have to fully believe it, but you got to start declaring it. The more you declare it, the more you believe it. The more you believe it, the more you will believe it. They're all tied. So, on the count of three, I want you to start with, I am born limitless. I will. Hang on, hang on. That's so good. Thank you. Yes. I love those obedient ones. Do what I'm told. We're going to start with, I am born limitless. I will crush my limiting beliefs. I can create an infinite mindset. I am unlocking my true potential. Start with the first one. The count of three. One, two, three. I am born limitless. I will crush my limiting beliefs. I can create an infinite mindset. I am unlocking my true potential. Let's do it again. Come on, like you mean it. I am. I will crush my. I can create an infinite mindset. I am unlocking my true potential. That's still kind of weak. Come on, guys. Let me have it. I want to. I want to hear. I'm not gonna do it this time. On the count of three, I want to hear it. One, two, three. All right, stay standing. I'm going to shift this. This is a future thing. Someday. And you're going. Yeah, yeah, someday I'll do all that. No, no, no, no. It starts right here. You ain't leaving this place without saying, taking control and saying, today, I'm going to do this. I don't know what it looks like for you, but remember what I said at the beginning. We are committed to what we confess. So I'm going to make you confess something. And we're going to call it into reality today. Same thing all the way through after born limitless today. Put on the front one. And we'll say today after each one. Are you ready? Let's do this again. 1, 2, 3. I am born limitless. Today I will crush my limiting beliefs. Today I can create an infinite mindset. Today I am unlocking my true potential today. One more time, I want to hear you. Here we go. One, two, three. I am. Give yourself a hand. All right, you can have a seat. So as I wrap up, I just want to tell you, everything begins with the mindset and the belief that you were born limitless. Crushing your limiting beliefs, releasing your true potential from being born limitless. Part of what I do is we talk about this idea of limitless leadership. Now, what does it look like as we define leadership in our lives, with our teams and our families? You have to first lead yourself before you can lead others. But leadership is defined about a thousand different ways. So what does it look like to define leadership as influence and impact, not a position, title, or paycheck. This idea of limitless leadership is a whole different concept of defining leadership and how you're going to show up in the world, in the spaces you're called to, and make an impact and a difference that's going to ripple into the future, that's going to create legacy, that's going to create momentum and increase productivity on your teams and your organizations. So I thank you guys for listening. If you want to learn more about how to move from being born limitless to limitless leadership, let me know. This is to my website. I've got a new landing page. We're redesigning everything that'll get you to the website. My socials are there. I'm going to be over at the table where you can come and get a book. It's weird signing books, but I'd be glad to sign a book if you want me to. But I appreciate you guys and I want you to know this as I. I close. I believe that your best is yet to come. I believe that you were created for more. Not more stuff, not more things, but more influence and impact, a future and a hope. I don't know what your more is, but my passion in my life is to help you discover it and to walk it out. So if I can help you, let me know. God bless you guys and have a great day.
