I'm Rico Sharp. I've dedicated the last 30-plus years of my life to being a motivational speaker and an inspirational leader to people all around the country and even outside of the United States of America. I'm ready now to zoom in on a key focus, a very important and delicate focus, and that is coming into our school system to help motivate and inspire our students, our kids, to be all that they can be and to take advantage of the opportunities that has been set before them academically and educationally. I am ready to partner with our schools. I know that I can make a difference. I've been doing it for over 30 years, and I'm ready to dedicate my time, my services, my experience, and my expertise to helping to inspire our students and to inspire and motivate not only our students but the faculty as well. I'm ready to help motivate the staff as well, and I know that I have what it takes. I've been doing it for over 30-plus years. Here's what I want to talk about real briefly when I come to your school. Number one, I want to talk about academic achievement. I want to help motivate our students to stay in school, to work hard, to stay focused, and to take advantage of what has been set before them to help further their education. I want to inspire them to be all that they can be, to be a dreamer, to be a visionary, and to go after those things relentlessly and tenaciously. Using what has been set before them as an opportunity for their advantage. Number 2, I want to talk about breaking the bullying bulldog mentality. That's what I call it, a bulldog bullying mentality. We want to overcome bullying and speak out to help save lives and eliminate bullying altogether because it has no place in our schools and no place in the lives of our students. I want to talk about defeating teenage drug addiction. Which is, which is at an all-time high. I want to help motivate our students to say no to drugs and yes to a life that is free and abstinence of drug and alcohol abuse. Then number 4, I want to talk about eliminating the influence of peer pressure, how to be courageous and confident enough to stand up without aggression in the presence of peer pressure and negative persuasion. And then number 5, I want to talk about silencing social media strongholds because social media has become a stronghold in the lives of our kids, our students. And there are some negative things that we need to address that can help to redirect our kids so that their minds are not being persuaded or dissuaded into negativity by social media influence. I want to help them and to have the courage to be able to stand up without aggression in the presence of peer pressure and the presence of social media stronghold and say, no, I'm not with that. I'm not about that. I want to be somebody. I want to make something out of my life. I want to do some things positive with my life. And I don't want my mind controlled, manipulated, or influenced to do things that I'm going to later on regret. in life or something that is going to throw me back academically. And then number 6, last but not least, I want to talk about something that is very, very important, and it's almost scary because it's like a ticking time bomb waiting to go off, and that is addressing school violence. We got to address school violence, and we have to help build a school-wide bond that whenever there is violence brewing up stirring up like a hurricane out on the ocean in hot water. We got to be able to take preventative measures and proactive measures to keep school violence from growing and from developing and becoming a Category 1, 2, 3, 4, or 5 storm in our school that ultimately leads to casualty because of mass shootings. We have to talk about this. We have to address this. Listen, whatever you don't confront will eventually confront you. And whatever you don't confront, not only will it confront you, it will eventually conquer you. So if you don't confront it, you can't conquer it. We want to confront it. We want to conquer it. We want to put it out of our school systems altogether. I'm going to share about how I dropped out of school in the 9th grade and subjected my life to unnecessary hardship and got addicted to drugs. But I eventually found my way back into school and back furthering my education and made a positive and successful life for myself. I want to be able to use my experience and the years that I have helping others to help your students. I've been there, I know what it takes, and I want to be able to volunteer my services with you to help make a difference in the lives of our schools. So those of you who are in the position to make these type of decisions, I— listen, I'm already getting calls from Orange County Schools, I'm already going through process in Dade County Schools, and I want to just move around and be able to help partner with your schools and make a difference in the lives of our students. I am Rico Sharp, and you can reach me at ricosharp@icloud.com. That's ricosharp@icloud.com. You can call me at 321-262-8871.
