Mission accomplished: I fired up these Students/Journeyman/Electrician to overcome adversity!

Rico Sharp tells electrical students at Daytona Electrical Alliance that life is hard but worth doing hard anyway. The school offers free four-year training, job placement help, and tool giveaways. Sharp says incarceration, addiction, immigration, and poverty can be overcome by staying focused on your dreams.

One more ride! Well, my work here is done and I'm about to hit the highway. But I had a powerful time here tonight speaking with these men and women, encouraging them to not give up on their dream. It's hard, but do it hard. It's difficult, but do it difficult. And as you can see, they're having a great time. They're getting a lot of prizes and things that they can take home with them. This is a great school, Daytona Electrical Alliance, a very good school. They do a lot for their students. This is a 4-year course, but it's free to the students, and they even find them work while they're going through school so that they can make money. And they are right now giving out toolboxes and power drills and all kinds of things like that. They got several different vendors here, and these vendors are here to reward these men and women for their effort, to encourage them to continue on. I had a great time. I'm looking forward to it, to coming back again and empowering them and speaking into their life. And I say to you, life is hard, but do it hard. Owning your own business is hard, but do it hard. Going back to school at 30, at 40, it's hard, but do it hard. Getting married and starting a family and being successful as a family and raising up children to be all that they can be, it's hard. It's hard. Living in this economy is hard. It's hard when you've been incarcerated. It's hard when you're going to jail. It's hard when you've been on drugs. It's hard when you're trying to start your life over. It's hard when you're trying to recuperate from a downfall. It's hard when you've been addicted to alcohol and addicted to drugs. It's hard. It's hard when you start from the ground with nothing. It's hard when you come into this country as an immigrant, you have nothing but the clothes on your back. It's hard, and sometimes it's stressful, but do it hard. Do it stressfully and believe that one day it's going to pay off. One day you're going to have the life you want. One day your dream is going to come to fruition. I'm Rico Sharp. Listen, life is what you make it. So when the opportunity comes, you take it. You be sharp now. Maximize your moment. Make yourself a great life. And think sharp. Plan sharp. Walk sharp. Talk sharp. Live sharp. Dream sharp and you'll be sharp. Take it from me, Rico Sharp. I know. God bless you. If you need a speaker, it doesn't matter what the subject is and what your company is, I'll come running. I'll, I'll be there.
