Rico Sharp Live Stream

Rico Sharp uses a phone call metaphor to explore God-given purpose. He argues that frustration and emptiness come from ignoring your inner gifts, no matter how successful you look. Fear, others' opinions, and past failures keep people from answering their calling.

I'm sorry to interrupt you, but I got a call here and the call ID says that it's from Purpose. Hold on for me for one minute, please. Purpose is calling, I'm sure, but— hello? Yeah, this is Rico. Oh, you're Purpose. Okay, hold on, Purpose. Hold on. I put Purpose on hold so I can talk to you for a moment. Listen, have you ever felt like that there's something more on the inside of you than what you're experiencing in the form of manifestation on the outside? Yes. In other words, there's a purpose on the inside of you that perhaps has not yet fully been explored, fully been extracted. And every so often when this purpose is not really being explored, It creates a frustration on the inside, especially when you know that you have more to offer in your life and more to offer life and more to offer this world and more to offer to society than what you are fully delivering at this particular point of your life. I felt like that many different phases of my life and different stages in my life, like there was more on the inside than what I was producing on the outside. You see, God, when he created us, He created us for a specific purpose in life. And the purpose that God has for our lives cannot be substituted or replaced with anything. The reason that we feel frustrated is because we have greater potential than what we fully explored and tapped into. There's a verse that I oftentimes like to go to in the Bible, which is in Philippians 1:6, and the Bible says that We should stir up the gift that is in us, which means that there's a gift on the inside that can make its way to the outside, but in order for it to do that, it has to be stirred up, which means it has to be tapped into, it has to be discovered, it has to be worked. When you go through life and you get up in the morning and you don't want to go to work because you hate your job and you don't like your boss and You feel like quitting and you want to quit, but you don't because you have a fear that it's going to be a while before you get the next paycheck to come in. And you know that this present job is providing for you a comfort of food, and you're able to pay all of your bills and expenses. And yet on the inside of you, there's a cry. There's a silent cry, a silent scream that is saying, I can do better than this. I want more out of life. I want more out of life. I'm not happy in life. I'm not satisfied. Speaking of happiness— hold on, hold on, Purpose. I'm coming. Speaking of happiness, happiness doesn't come because you possess things. Happiness doesn't come because you live in a gated community. Happiness doesn't come because you drive an expensive automobile or because you wear nice high-priced clothing. Happiness comes because you're walking in the fulfillment of your purpose. Another verse that I'd like to share with you is in Jeremiah 29:11. God says, I know the thoughts, which means plan, that I have for you, thoughts of peace, not of evil, to give you an expected end. Jeremiah 33:3, a parallel verse to that, says, if you call unto me, I will answer you, and I will show you, I will reveal to you Great and mighty things that thou knowest not. That relates to your purpose. You see, my friends, you were not placed in this earth just because your parents decided to be intimate with one another. No, no, no, no, no. Neither are you born by chance or happenstance or by accident. God wanted you in this world. God released you into existence, into time. Into this natural physical realm so that he might be able to bring to pass the purpose that he had in mind when he decided you needed to be born, so that your birth, your life, your existence in this world could positively attribute to maybe the school system, maybe the kingdom of God, maybe the government of this society, whatever field you have an interest in. As it relates to your profession and occupation, God wants to use your gift. He wants to use your purpose to make this world that we live in a better place to live, not just for you, but for your children, for your grandchildren, and for generations to come. You see, your purpose is on the inside of you, and it lives inside of this womb, and this womb can only Be fulfilled, or you can only have satisfaction and gratification when the womb has been tapped into and explored for the purpose of maximizing your purpose in life. Destiny is calling you. Your promised land is calling you. You see, there's a greater mother on the inside of you. There's a greater father on the inside of you. There's a greater entrepreneur, there's a greater visionary on the inside of you. There's a greater motivational speaker on the inside of you. Whatever your occupation, whatever your profession, whatever your gift consists of, whatever your level of creativity consists of, there's a greater level of that on the inside, and it has all to do with your purpose, and you just got to be willing to go deeper and tap into it. That womb that you have on the inside, If it's empty, it's because you're not tapped into your purpose. And if you feel like you're, you're not happy, you're dissatisfied, or you're discontent, and that there's a voidness or a vacuum in your life, it's because you're not walking in your purpose. And you can have a good job that makes good money, 6 figures, 7 figures a year, but that doesn't mean that you're walking in your purpose. I desire to walk in my purpose. I desire to fulfill My purpose in life. Okay, purpose, hold on for just a few more moments. I'm almost finished with what I'm doing. I'll get to you in a minute. I got purpose on hold. Do you have purpose on hold? Is your purpose on hold? Are you in a transitional state where you feel like, I'm trying to get somewhere in my life, but I'm not there yet. In fact, the truth is I'm not even moving in that direction. Is your purpose on hold because of fear, because of the opinions of other people, because of failure in your past, because of feeling inferior toward someone else that works around you that may be getting all of the accolades and the praises and the attention of man? Take your purpose off of hold and begin to walk in it. You only get one chance at life, you know. After a while, We close our eyes. But your purpose is meant to not only bless you but to create a legacy so that those who were born in the DNA of your bloodline, those who have your chromosomes, your genes, so that they also can be able to experience a great, blessed, stress-free life by walking in the labor That you have created, by walking in the harvest of your own labor, by walking in the manifestation of the things that you've done and the things that you've accomplished. Well, I wish I had more time to share more with you, but I got purpose on hold. I got to say goodbye to you so that I can see what purpose want with me. Purpose is calling. Answer the call. And begin to walk in your purpose. Talk to you later. Hey, purpose, sorry to keep you holding. This is Rico. What do you have for me?
