You can't do it alone!

Rico Sharp argues that you can't achieve greatness alone, no matter your potential. You need mentors and coaches, and real transformation requires paying for guidance earned through someone else's years of experience. Failure is a teacher, not an endpoint.

Hey, it's Rico. Were you born with the potential to do great things in life? Were you born with the abilities to realize your dream? Are you able and capable of building a business and being successful? Are you capable of becoming rich and wealthy? Are you capable of living a life of happiness? Are you capable of living a life of discipline and structure? Are you able to manage your life and balance your life? Do you have what it takes to be able to be a good, morally sound person that is able to impact humanity and fulfill your destiny? Well, the answer to all of those questions is yes. But can you do these things alone? Can you do these things independently? Can you do them without the aid, the help, the guidance, and the support of others? The answer is no, no, no, no, you can't. You can't. You can't do it by yourself. You see, everyone needs someone. We all have to have someone, somebody that we can learn from, be taught by, be trained by, be disciplined by. Be mentored by, be coached by, whether it's your parent, whether it's an older sibling, whether it's a best friend, whether it's an employer, whether it's a mentor, a pastor, a life coach, a therapist, a psychiatrist, psychologist. We all have to have someone that we can glean from and learn from and get instructions and advice from. You see, although you were born with the ability to maximize your life and realize your dream, you can't do it by yourself. And this is the issue that we face. Most folk go through life burning themselves out, spending years, exhausting resources, wasting time trying to do great things alone. And that's not how we're wired. That's not how humanity was created. That's not how the earth is designed. There's this word called network, and we're designed to network, which means to work together, to coercively create a bond and a workable system that benefits us all. And I realized in my own personal life I have to have somebody to help me. I can't do it by myself. I've tried and I can't. I've tried again and I failed. I tried again and I wasted time. I tried again and I wasted resources. I tried again and I got discouraged. You don't want to get to the point where you get discouraged in trying. It's just that you have to change your system. Change your mindset. You can't do this alone. Someone has to take you by the hand that has already been there, that has already done that. Someone has to show you the way. Someone has to teach you the principles. Someone has to show you how to not quit, how to not give up, how to not get discouraged and get depressed. Failure is a schoolteacher. Failure is, is a principle that is inevitable. Anytime you try something, you're going to fail. Someone has to fail. But failure is not permanent. Failure is not final. You learn from failure. Failure is like a set of stairs. Every step you take, it's going to cost you something, but you're going to climb. You're going to elevate. You're going to go higher. You're going to go from one level to the next level. You're going to make some progress, but you can't have progress without digressing. Progress means moving forward. Digressing means moving back or falling back. You got to fall back in order to step up. Your downfalls are, are something that is, that is designed to help you to understand elevation. Your, your setback is nothing more than a setup for a comeback. But when you look out the window of your heart, searching this world to see what it is that you need to bring or to engraft into your life to make things work for you. When you focus through the eye of your mind, right, when you listen to that inner voice, and when you connect with God or whoever your higher power is, you realize that there is information out there There is a system that exists. There are some, some tools that are readily available. There is some knowledge that is readily accessible. There is information available for you, and what you have to do is open up and let it in, receive it in. Now, some people want free help. People want Free knowledge, free advice, free guidance, free information. And although there is a certain percentage of information, knowledge, and advice and tools that are free to you, the truth of the matter is that if it's going to matter in your life, if it's going to matter in your results, if it's going to matter in your decision-making, if it's going to matter in your destiny, if it's going to matter in your business, in your dreams, in your relationships, in your career, in your ministry, If it's going to matter, if it's going to produce an effect, if it's going to produce and yield great results, then what's free is not the best. I'm telling you something. We oftentimes want what's free because what's free, what's free doesn't cost us anything. But anything that doesn't cost you something is really not worth having. And if it is worth having, then it's not going to give you the gratification and the satisfaction internally of knowing that you produce and you sacrifice and you labor and you sweat and you work to make happen whatever it is that is important to you. You can't want everything to be free. Some knowledge is expensive, but you got to be willing to pay the price. Some information is expensive. Some guidance is expensive, but you have to be willing to pay the price. When you're not willing to pay the price, you're being cheap to yourself. You are doing you a disservice. You're doing your dreams and your visions and your goals an injustice. Anything that is going to be free to you wasn't free to the source you're getting it from. When you look for a mentor, somebody who has been through the trenches, who have labored 20 years to get to where they are, who has failed over and over again but continue to rise up, and they paid a great cost for what they've been able to accomplish, now you want them to pass it on to you for free? That's not the way it works. Labor to do good. Labor to have more. Don't let pride get in your way. Reach out and get some help and trust the process that when you receive help and you pay for it, it's going to help you to get to where you want to be. This is Rico Sharp Motivation. Peace.
