Most people have the same emotions pretty regularly, don't they? They get, you know, happy, excited, pissed off, worried, frustrated. There's patterns to emotions. There's patterns to how we deal with things. And the problem is we think we're our patterns, so we think there's something wrong with us. Well, that's usually because it's a pattern, it's a habit. And if you think it's something wrong with you, it's really hard to change you, but it's very easy to change a pattern. Now, sometimes we need enough pain to give us enough urgency to do what's necessary. How many of you have had something that you were supposed to deal with, meaning in your mind you said, I'm gonna deal with this, I'm gonna change this, I'm gonna handle this, and then you didn't, and you got pissed off with yourself and then said, man, I'm gonna do it this time, I'm really gonna do it, and you really got fired up and you didn't do it. So when that happens, it's because consciously you're trying to do one thing, but you've got an unconscious that wants something else.
