What do the public want? I think people want lower taxes, better safety. They want to feel as though there is a massive carrot in front of them and not a massive stick. So they want to feel there's a sense of social justice and the idea that if you work hard and you've got a degree of talent, that there is opportunity there for you to do some quite basic things, which is live in a comfortable property. We're not all after a mansion. In some cases that might be a flat. In some cases that might be a 4 or 5 bedroom house in Surrey. They want to feel as though that their children are safe when they go to school. They want to feel as though there are adequate school places. I want these kind of basic things.
