Rob Moore names three cars that terrify him: the Ferrari GT for its raw intimidation, the F40 for its unpredictable twin-turbo lag that unsettles mid-corner, and the McLaren P1 for pure aggression. Each one nearly killed him.
Ferrari gt. One of the best sounding cars in the world. Right. There's only three cars in the world that I'm scared of that I've driven. That's definitely one of them. What else? An F40. Oh, my God. Twin turbo V8. But when turbos weren't at the level of sophistication where they are now, you don't know when they're going to kick in. They're so inconsistent. You have the car at 4,5000 revs and there's no turbo. And then you have the car 2000 revs. When you're going around a corner and all of a sudden the turbo wants to kick in and you face in the wrong direction. The other one's a P1. This car drives like you've smacked its kids and shagged its wife. It drives like it wants to really hurt you.
