How to Get Ready for the Outpouring: The Honey Is Flowing

In this episode of the Rewired for Purpose podcast, host Rosangela Atte, a certified Christian life‑and‑brain coach, shares a prophetic vision of honey flowing as a symbol of an imminent divine outpouring. She explains that believers must prepare their “vessels”—emotionally, spiritually, psychologically, and physically—to receive and steward the promised blessings. Drawing on biblical narratives such as Job’s restoration, the Pentecost outpouring, and the widow’s oil, she emphasizes forgiveness, unity, and humility as prerequisites for restoration. Rosangela links these spiritual principles to neuroscience, describing neuroplasticity, thought‑capture, and nervous‑system regulation, and offers concrete practices: repentance, “nesting” (organizing life), the 3R method (recognize‑replace‑repeat), breath work, grounding, journaling, and disciplined prayer for discernment. She stresses the importance of hope, memory, and stewardship, urging listeners to make room, stretch their tents, and press a “red button” of obedience. The episode concludes with a guided hour‑long prayer practice and an invitation to her coaching services at theshiftercoaching.com.

My heart is to empower you to walk in your God-given identity and discover your purpose. Hello, beautiful people of God. Welcome back to the Rewired for Purpose podcast. Today I want to talk about something that has been burning in my spirit. How do we get ready for the outpouring that the Lord is getting ready to pour out on His people? I don't know if you follow my prophetic blog or you follow me on social media. But the Lord has given me for the last couple of weeks 3 different prophetic words that are all related. And the first one came from a dream that I had about honey. You should go read it if you haven't yet. You can go on my Facebook or my Instagram, The Rising of the Esthers. And my Facebook is Rosangela Atte. And it talks about how the Lord is getting ready to pour out this sweetness, this overflow of honey and blessings that nobody will be able to stop. But as he does that, he is also telling us and asking us to prepare our vessels, to prepare ourselves in order to contain this new wine that is pouring out. We know that the Bible says that we cannot pour new wine in old wineskins because both will be So we need to get ourselves ready emotionally, spiritually, psychologically, physiologically, in every way, in order to steward the blessings and the overflow that the Lord is getting ready to pour out on His faithful, obedient children. The question that we need to ask ourselves is, are we ready to steward what we are asking God To release. Because sometimes we are praying for blessings, but we're not prepared for the weight of these blessings. We're asking God for increase, more influence, more this, more that, but increase requires capacity. Do we have the capacity to stretch? We're asking God for more influence, but influence requires character. We're asking God to Bless us with more provision, more wisdom. All these things require preparation because when God gives us the authority, we need to steward it with humility. When we ask the Lord to birth the promises that he has placed in us, we need to be ready. And one of the words that the Lord gave me was begin nesting. As a mother of 4, I knew exactly what he meant because when a woman is nearing the birth of a baby, she often starts nesting. She gets the house ready, she gets the baby's room organized, all the drawers organized, she cleans, she organizes, she prepares the baby room, she washes all the baby clothes, she makes space for the things that are needed, gets rid of things that are not needed. She starts thinking because she knows that something is coming, something precious, something that is going to change her life. And spiritually, I believe the Lord is saying the same thing to us. The baby represents the promise, the assignment. It represents what God has been forming in the hidden place. The baby represents the dreams, the ministries, the businesses, the restoration, the relationship, the provision, the influence, all the ideas that the Lord has given us, all those promises, all those visions. But before the birth, there must be A preparation. We need to steward that gift, that baby, that promise that is about to be birthed with wisdom. So today I want to talk about how to prepare. How do we get ready for this outpouring? How do we prepare our vessels? How do we get our house in order? How do we stay in faith when we have been waiting for such a long time and we don't see the signs of this promise coming? How do we not lose hope? Hope. How do we renew our minds, rewire our thought patterns, regulate our nervous systems, get rid of all those old thought patterns, the survival mechanisms? How do we do that? Because if we're not prepared, the weight of those blessings and assignments could crush us instead of blessing us. Preparation is key. He's not just releasing a promise. He's preparing us to steward it well. Job is one of the most powerful pictures of restoration in Scripture. He lost so much. In fact, he lost everything— his children, his possessions, his health, his reputation, and even the support of those who should have been close to him to comfort him. His friends came, and instead of comforting him, they accused him. They judged him. They assumed his suffering was proof that he was in sin. They misrepresented Job, and even worse, they actually misrepresented God, the heart of God. Job 42 says that when the Lord finally speaks to Job's friends, He tells them that He is angry because they had not spoken rightly of Him. That's such a serious thing, misrepresenting the character and the heart of God. They thought they were defending God, but they were actually misrepresenting Him. They thought they were being, you know, overly spiritual, but they were operating in accusation. They were coming from a judgmental place. And the part that is very powerful is that before Job's restoration came, God dealt with a relationship. God told Job's friends to offer sacrifices, and He said to Job that he would have to pray for them. And then after Job prayed for his friends, the Lord restored what Job had lost. Job's restoration came after the forgiveness, the letting go, the intercession, and the reconciliation. Let's be clear, forgiveness does not mean that what they did was okay. It does not mean that we pretend we are not hurt. We allow people to keep abusing us or falsely accusing us, but it means that we release the case into God's hands. We stop drinking poison expecting the other person to suffer. We release our right for revenge. We give the Lord the pain. The offense, the injustice, the words, the betrayal. And we say, Lord, you are the righteous judge. I trust you with this. Before restoration came, Job had to pray for the very people who had hurt him with their words. And that is not easy. You know, this is not cute Christianity. That is deep work. That is such a letting go of the flesh and pride. Because Job was right. He didn't do anything to deserve that. We hear it you know, when the accuser goes to God. Job was blameless, so he was right in defending himself, but he had to let it go. Before restoration, Job had to pray for the people who had hurt him, and I believe this is one of the first ways we prepare for the outpouring. We allow God to deal with the offenses in our heart because offense Unforgiveness, bitterness can clog our vessels. It can contaminate the flow. It could tie us to people and places that God is trying to move us beyond. Sometimes we're asking God to pour new wine, new honey, new oil, new provision, new anointing, but our hearts are still holding the residue of the last season. And God is not dealing with our hearts because He wants us to suffer. He's dealing with our hearts because He loves us. He wants us to be free. He wants us to be clean. He wants us to be completely devoid of any impurity, and He wants us to be whole. He wants us to be able to carry the blessings without being crushed by them or corrupted by them. Jesus said in Matthew 5:23-24, therefore, if you are offering your gift at the altar and there you remember that your brother or sister has something against you, Leave your gift there in front of the altar. First go and be reconciled to them, then come and offer your gift. That is so powerful and so important because the Lord cares about our worship. He cares about our relationships. He cares about what is happening in our hearts. He cares about reconciliation. He cares about humility. The Bible says humility goes before honor. And pride goes before the fall. He can't even receive our prayers and our offering and our worship if we don't let go of unforgiveness. So one of the first questions we need to ask ourselves as we prepare for the outpouring is, Lord, is there anyone I need to forgive? Is there any offense I'm still carrying? Is there any resentment, bitterness, judgment, or pain that I have allowed to remain in my heart? And this is not about condemnation, but it's about freedom. Because sometimes the thing that is blocking us, it's not the devil. Sometimes it's an old wound we have not allowed God to heal. Sometimes it is a painful story we keep rehearsing in our mind. It is betrayal that has become part of our identity. And listen, I say this with compassion because I understand trauma. I understand what it feels like to be hurt. Betrayed, unseen, misunderstood, rejected, and falsely accused. But I also know that we cannot move into the fullness of restoration while still chained to the pain of the past. So before the honey flows in greater measure, let the Lord cleanse the vessels. Now let's talk about the outpouring of the Holy Spirit. In Acts 2, we see one of the greatest outpourings in scripture. The disciples were gathered together in one place. They were waiting. They were obeying Jesus' instruction. They were not scattered. They were not doing anything. They were just in unity, in obedience, in faith, waiting. They were positioned. They were unified, and they were waiting on the Lord. The day of Pentecost fully came, and they were all together in that one place. And suddenly there came from heaven a sound like a rushing mighty wind, and it filled the whole house where they were sitting. Tongues like fire appeared and rested on each of them, and they were filled with the Holy Spirit. Notice the pattern. They were gathered, they were in unity, they were positioned, they were waiting, they were obedient, and then the outpouring came. God wants unity in His church. He wants unity in His people. There cannot be division. Division cannot be blessed. Even the Word says that a kingdom divided in itself cannot stand. And unity doesn't mean that we're all the same. It does not mean that we have no personality, no different gifts, different assignments. It just means that we're all aligned under the Lordship of Jesus and that we all want the same thing. We want to expand the Kingdom of God. We want to serve our Lord. We're not competing with each other. We're not striving. We're not accusing. We're not devouring one another. Unity means that we understand that the outpouring is not just for ourselves, but it's for the whole body. It is for the families, for the communities, for the kingdom of God. And this connects so beautifully to the honey dream that I had. Honey is produced by worker bees for the nourishment of the whole community. The bees do not make honey only for themselves. They labor, they gather, they process, they fan their wings, And what is produced nourishes the whole hive. People of God, the outpouring is not only about personal blessing, it's about kingdom nourishment. God wants to bless His people so we can bless others. He wants to restore us so we can become restorers. He wants to heal us so we can carry healing. He wants to provide for us so that we can build, give, serve, and advance His kingdom. That's why preparation is so important because if our hearts are full, Of competition, jealousy, offense, pride, comparison, we may mishandle what God pours out. We may make the promise about ourselves instead of about Him. We may turn the influence into performance, and we may turn the provision into control and authority into domination. We may turn the blessing, the promise that God has given us, into an idol. So the Lord prepares us first to protect us. And this is where neuroscience is such a beautiful confirmation of biblical truth. Romans 12:2 says, do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Scripture told us long before brain science had the language for it. Transformation happens as the mind is renewed. Our brains are changeable. It's called neuroplasticity, and it means that the brain can form new pathways. The thoughts we think repeatedly become stronger. The beliefs we rehearse become familiar. The emotional responses we practice become automatic. So if we have spent years thinking, nothing ever works out for me, God forgot me, I'm not worthy, I will never be able to do this, I can't handle success, blah blah blah blah blah, those thoughts can become like mental highways. You will automatically default to these negative thoughts. But the good news is that through the word of God, prayer, repetition, emotional awareness, Nervous system regulation and obedience, those pathways can change. That means that we are not stuck. We can change. It's such good news because it means that we're not doomed to repeat the same thought patterns forever. We're not prisoners of those old survival mechanisms, but we can renew our minds. We can renew our thoughts. We can take our thoughts captive, just like the Word says, and we can partner with the Holy Spirit and begin to think in alignment with the truth instead of Our trauma. 2 Corinthians 10:5 tells us to take every thought captive and make it obedient to Christ. That means we do not let every thought become our truth. We examine it. We test it. We put it on trial. We ask, is this from God? Is this aligned with Scripture? Is this producing faith or fear? Is this voice the Shepherd's voice or is it the accuser? Or is it just me? This is important because In a season of outpouring, old mindsets will try to rise up. When God begins to open doors, fear may come. When provision comes, scarcity may speak. When influence comes, imposter syndrome may whisper. When restoration begins, suspicion may rise. When the promise comes close, the nervous system may panic because new can feel unsafe, even when it is a good thing. New can feel unsafe to a nervous system that has been trained By disappointment. Sometimes we think we are resisting God, but our body is actually bracing for pain because it remembers what happened last time. It remembers the disappointment. It remembers the betrayal. It remembers the closed door. It remembers the loss. It remembers that in the moment we hoped and then hope was deferred, we felt crushed. And that's what the Word says, that hope deferred makes the heart sick. So when hope starts rising again, the nervous system says, careful, do not hope too much, do not believe too much, do not get excited because this is not going to work out. Because that's what we have been trained to believe because things really didn't really work out for us. And that is why we need both faith and regulation. Faith says God is good, God is faithful, God is able. Regulation helps the body feel safe enough to receive what faith is believing for. Some people are trying to receive overflow while living in constant fight, flight, freeze, or fawn. The body is exhausted, the mind is racing, the emotions are overwhelmed, their sleep is off, breathing is shallow, the decisions are coming from fear, and then they wonder why they keep sabotaging opportunities. This is awareness, and awareness is the beginning of healing. So how do we get ready? First, we repent and forgive where needed. We allow God to search our hearts. Psalm 139 says, search me, O God, and know my heart. We ask the Holy Spirit to reveal what needs to be released. We forgive, we bless, we release, we make peace where peace is possible. We stop rehearsing the offenses. We stop letting bitterness take up room in the vessel. We just let go and we let God take care of everything else. Second, we return to unity. We get out of competition and back into love. We stop comparing ourselves, our assignments, our ministry to someone else's. We stop judging other people's process and the way they do things. We stop assuming we know why someone is suffering. Like Job's friends, they got in trouble because they misrepresented God. While trying to explain Job's pain. That is a warning for all of us. We need humility, compassion, we need discernment, we need to speak from the heart of the Father, not from accusation or what we think. And third, we make room. This is the nesting. We prepare practically and spiritually. What is out of order in our home? What is out of order in the schedule? What is out of order in your finances? What is out of order in the relationship? In our mind, in our body, what is out of order in our obedience. This is about aligning ourselves with God's will. Maybe making room means cleaning your house. Maybe it means having the hard conversation. Maybe it means creating a budget. Maybe it means going on a diet or start working out or going to the doctor and get that checked out. Maybe it means creating course, writing a book, starting a ministry. Maybe it means setting boundaries. Maybe it means forgiving someone or letting go of that friendship that it's toxic. Faith prepares before it sees. Maybe it means taking the first step of faith and obedience because faith prepares before it sees. Hebrews 11:1 says that faith is the substance of things hoped for And the evidence of things not seen. Faith moves. Faith is not passive. It builds the ark before the rain. It prepares the room before the baby's born. Faith gathers vessels before the oil flows, and it stretches the tent before increase arrives. Fourth, we renew our minds daily, not only when we are in a crisis, but daily. The mind is renewed through repetition, so we must repeatedly expose ourselves to the truth. To the Word of God, to intimacy with Him, to His presence until it becomes more familiar than fear. Here's a simple technique that I teach, the 3R: recognize, replace, and repeat. Recognize the thought. Do not just let it run in the background. Name it, write it down, journal. I'm thinking that God forgot me. I'm thinking that I will fail. I'm thinking that I'm not ready. That I'm not worthy. Whatever that negative thought may be, recognize it and write it down. You know that it's not from God. Then replace it with what God says. God has not forgotten me. He who began a good work in me will complete it. I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. God has not given me a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind. I am his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works. Then repeat it, not one time. Repeat it until the new pathway gets stronger and stronger, and you will be able to repeat it by memory, not even having to read it. Repeat it in the prayers. Repeat it out loud when you're walking. Write it down. Put it on your mirror. Speak it when fear rises. Declare it when your body feels anxious. When you are in a very negative state of mind, make an effort. Repeat that thought. Another technique is journaling with the Holy Spirit. You take a thought that is causing you fear and ask, Lord, where did I learn this? Is this true? What do you say? Then write it down. Write down the lie, the root, the truth, and then the action step. For example, if the lie is, if I receive more, I will lose it, the root may be past instability or loss, but the truth may be, God gives wisdom to steward what he entrusts to me. The action step may be: I will create a plan, ask for wise counsel, and take one step of faith. Fifth, we regulate their nervous system. I cannot emphasize this enough. A dysregulated nervous system will interpret blessing as threat if increase feels unfamiliar. That is why some people panic when good things happen. They feel anxious when doors open, they overthink when someone blesses them, and they self- sabotage. Their body's saying, this is new, this is unfamiliar, that means this is not safe. So we have to teach our body safety. One simple tool is slow breathing. Inhale through your nose for 4 counts and exhale slowly for 6 to 8 counts. Longer exhales tell the body we are safe. Do this a few minutes while meditating on scripture. For example, the Lord is my shepherd. Exhale. I shall not want. Inhale: God is with me. Exhale: I will not fear. Another tool is grounding. Look around the room, name 5 things you see, 4 things you feel, 3 things you hear, 2 things you smell, and 1 thing you taste. This brings the brain back to the present moment because trauma pulls you into the past and you start feeling those feelings. Fear pulls us into the future. Grounding brings us back to the now, where God is present. Another tool is movement. Go for a walk, stretch, shake your hands, move your body. The stress hormones need somewhere to go. Sometimes what we call a spiritual attack is actually our body needing regulation. This is actually what happened to me 2 nights ago. Every time I closed my eyes and felt myself falling asleep, I would jolt and wake up, With this kind of a panicky feeling. So I had to get up, breathe, do some grounding, do some shaking. It took me a long time, and I don't even know why I was feeling that way, but it worked. And of course, I fell asleep reading the Word of God. That always works. And 6th, we stay in hope by remembering. Hope is strengthened by remembrance. David encouraged himself in the Lord. The Israelites built memorial stones. Testimony matters. Because it reminds the nervous system and the soul that God came through for us before, and He did it then, and He will do it again. Write down your testimonies. Write down moments God provided for you. Build an altar with each memory. And the 7th thing we should do to prepare ourselves is pray for discernment so that we can discern the doors and the opportunities that the Lord will present to us. Divine connections may come, provision may come, connections may come, but not every door is of God. Some doors are assignments, some doors are distractions, some are tests, some are profitable, some are not. We need discernment. The enemy can disguise himself as an angel of light, so do not be moved only because something looks good. Test it. Pray. Ask for wisdom. Look at the fruit. Does it align with scripture? Does it produce Peace or pressure? Does it require compromise? Does it pull me away from what God has already told me? Be gentle as a dove but wise as a serpent. 8. We prepare for stewardship. Stewardship is what we do with what God gives us. If God gives us influence, how will you use it? He gives you provision, how will you steward it? How will you manage it? Opportunities, How will you prioritize? If he gives you a platform, how will you stay humble? If God gives you wealth, how will you build and give? If God restores relationships, will you protect them? God will birth the promises through you. Will you nurture them? This is where we need to be tactically prepared. Get organized, create systems, learn, ask for counsel. Heal our money mindsets, our discipline, strengthen our bodies, prepare our families, put our house in order. And that house includes our bodies, our minds, everything that has to do with us. Think about the widow with the oil. The Prophet told her to gather vessels, and not a few, he said, as many as you can. And the oil flowed according to the capacity available. When the vessels ran out, the oil stopped. That is such a powerful picture because the limitation was not on the oil, it was on the number or the capacity of the vessels. My question is, how many vessels are you preparing? Are you making room for what you prayed for? Are you emotionally ready to receive what you prayed for? Are you spiritually ready, practically ready, financially ready? Relationally ready? Psychologically ready? Are you making room in your life for what God is preparing you for, for what God is getting ready to release? Isaiah 54:2 says, enlarge the place of your tent, stretch your tent curtains wide. Do not hold back. Lengthen your cords, strengthen your stakes. Do not hold back. That means expansion. Requires you to act, to strengthen, to lengthen, to prepare, to stretch. Now I want to talk to those of you who have been so weary because of the waiting. I know exactly how you feel. I've been waiting 30 years for God's promises to fully manifest in our lives. I understand that hope can feel dangerous when disappointment has visited you. Too many times for so many years. But hope is not foolish when it is anchored in God because it is anchored on the character of God. Hope is not pretending. It's choosing to believe that the character of God is greater than the pain of your last season. Romans 5 says that suffering produces perseverance, persevering produces character, and character produces hope. And hope does not disappoint us because God's love has been poured Into our hearts by the Holy Spirit. Hope is connected to love being poured into our hearts. Sometimes we do not need another strategy first. Sometimes we need to let the Father love us back into hope. We need to sit with Him and say, Lord, I'm tired. I want to believe. Help me in my unbelief. Restore my hope. I've been disappointed so many times, so I'm scared of expecting. I'm scared of hoping because I'm not going to receive anything. Restore my ability to hope and receive. And then we take one step, one act of obedience. We press the red button. That's what I did in the dream. I pressed that red button. I activated the flow. The red button in the honey dream represented faith and obedience. It was one action, but once it was pressed, the flow was activated and I could not Stop it. So what is your red button? What is the one step that God has been asking you to take? It might be forgiveness for some of you. It might be starting a ministry. It might be resting. It might be surrendering control. It might be asking for help. What is God asking you to leave? What is he asking you to do? Do not overcomplicate obedience. Sometimes obedience is very simple. But fear is allowed. Let's go back to the Holy Spirit. We cannot prepare in our own strength. We need the Holy Spirit. He's our Helper, our Comforter, our Counselor, our Teacher, our Guide. The outpouring is not just about blessings coming to us. It's about the Spirit filling us, empowering us, aligning us, and leading us. Before Acts 2, they waited, waited for God, waited for His instruction, Waiting can be preparation, consecration, sanctification, place of unity where character is formed and the flesh is quieted. But when the day of Pentecost came, the sound filled the house, the fire rested on each one. They were empowered to speak, to witness, to build, and to carry the Gospel. The outpouring produced their mission. This is so important. The Holy Spirit does not fill us so that we can feel Goosebumps. He fills us so that we can be witnesses and so that we can carry Jesus. He fills us with love to speak the truth in boldness, to heal, to serve, to build his kingdom. We must be willing to be sent if we are praying and asking for the outpouring. God, what do you want this overflow for? Who is the honey meant to nourish? What is this provision meant to bless? Who is this testimony meant to encourage? Who is this oration meant to reach? Because the honey is too precious to waste. Here's a very simple preparation practice you can do this week. Take 1 hour with the Lord. No phone, no distractions, just you and the Lord in your room. Get your Bible, journal, and a pen and start praying. Holy Spirit, show me how to prepare for what you are birthing. In this season. Then write some questions. God, where is my heart still holding offense? What relationships need prayer, release, boundaries, or reconciliation? What old thought pattern is trying to keep me in fear? What are you saying instead, God? Where is my nervous system overwhelmed? What helps my body feel safe and present? What is my next step of obedience that you're asking me to do? Then listen. Write whatever comes up—an image, a vision, a word, a verse—whatever comes up in your spirit. Let the Lord speak. Don't rush things. Just listen. And then after that, choose three actions: one heart action, one mind-body action, and one practical action. Heart action might be forgiving. Or praying blessings over someone, repenting, releasing offense. A mind-body action might be doing breath prayer every morning, writing truth declarations, or exercising. Practical action could be cleaning your room, organizing your house, creating a plan for your finances, or having a conversation. This is how we nest spiritually. We prepare, we make room, we stretch the tent pegs. Let's pray. Father, in the name of Jesus, I thank you for every person listening, Lord. I thank you that you are the God of restoration. You're the God who restored Job double what he lost, Lord. You're the God who poured out your Spirit at Pentecost, and you are the God who brings sweetness after bitterness. Beauty after ashes and joy in the morning, Lord. Lord, we ask you to prepare us for this outpouring. Search our hearts. Show us any offense. Show us any bitterness and unforgiveness, anything that we're still carrying that we're supposed to let go of, God. God, give us the grace to forgive. Help us do your will, Lord. Help us walk in alignment with what you are saying, God. Give us the wisdom To reconcile where reconciliation is possible. Bring unity in our homes, in our families, in our churches, in our communities, Lord, in the body of Christ. Remove competition, jealousy, pride, accusation, God. Make us people that move in love, that represent your heart and your character well. Renew our minds. Break agreement with fear, hopelessness, scarcity, rejection, and disappointment. Teach us how to think your thoughts. Teach us how to take every thought captive and to submit it to you, Lord. I pray over our nervous systems, God, that you would teach us how to feel safe in our bodies. Teach us how to rest. Give us wisdom to prepare practically, God. Show us what we need to put in order, where to stretch and have faith, God. We declare that we will not miss this flow. This outpouring, God. We will not waste any of it, God. We won't waste any of the honey and the new wine that you are pouring in these new wineskins. Lord, I thank you. I thank you, God, for your promises, God, and because you are good. All of this, God, we ask in the precious name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Amen and amen. Amen. So people of God, this is the word of the Lord. Prepare, nest, make room, forgive, release, let go, and get ready. Empty yourself of everything that misrepresents Jesus, everything that is futile, everything that does not build the kingdom of God, everything of the flesh. Sanctify your lives because the honey is flowing, the promises are Birthing, and the Lord is preparing us to carry the weight of what He's releasing. Don't lose hope. Keep the faith. Do not let fear talk you out of obedience. Press that red button. Prepare the vessels. Make room for the promise and get ready for the overflow.
