Nexus in the Kairos

In this devotional teaching, the speaker shares a personal revelation in which God highlighted the concepts of Kairos (God’s appointed, non‑chronological moment) and Nexus (the point where people, events, and places converge). He explains that Kairos and Nexus are mutually dependent: a Kairos window without a Nexus cannot manifest, and a Nexus without Kairos lacks purpose. The speaker illustrates this interplay with biblical narratives—Peter’s obedient lowering of the nets, Abraham and Sarah’s premature attempt to fulfill God’s promise through Hagar, and Esther’s obedience to Mordecai’s call—showing how obedience aligns the convergence of people and timing to bring about divine blessings. He then emphasizes that obedience often requires sacrifice and forgiveness, arguing that forgiveness frees the believer to receive God’s forgiveness and blessings. The message concludes with an exhortation to trust God, step out in obedience, and a call to follow, share, and engage with the speaker’s ministry.
Chapters
Hey guys, I wanted to share something very interesting with you. A few nights ago, the Lord woke me up with this sentence. He said, many of you are going to experience a nexus kind of season. Nexus, N-E-X-U-S. As I woke up and I was writing it down, I thought he was talking about this program called Nexus, which is a program designed to accelerate border crossing between Canada and the United States. It's for low-risk, uh, pre-approved, uh, travelers. And it's very quick, um, I guess they just show their passport and they're through. They don't have to, um, get their cars checked or asked a bunch of questions. They're pre-approved for passing through. And so I thought the Lord was saying that, uh, we were going to experience this accelerated season— no delays, open doors, no hindrances. But then I went and looked up the word, and it is an actual word. It's a Latin word Which means convergence of things like people, events, and places. And the nexus is the point in which they meet. And I've actually used this description to describe a Kairos moment. I've always described Kairos as an intersection of people, places, and events that happened at the perfect time. At the right location, and that's when the Kairos opens up and things happen. But the Lord showed me that Kairos without Nexus cannot happen, cannot exist, and vice versa. Nexus without Kairos, uh, it cannot manifest because it needs a time. So the best way I can describe it, because it's really hard to put into words, to put these concepts into words because they're so abstract, Is that Kairos is the window of time, the appointed time, God's appointed time. It's a moment in time, but it's not chronological time. It's a window that opens up. And Nexus is the point of convergence. It's like an intersection where all the things and people needed for this event to happen during the Kairos time will come together and This is when things manifest. It's almost as if Nexus is a location, more like a spiritual position, a convergence. It's a place, but it's not a geographical place in the same sense as Kairos. It's a moment in time, but it's not actual a moment in time, chronological time. It's all spiritual and abstract. But when these 2 things converge, That's when things happen and manifest. And we have a part to play in this— our obedience. There are so many examples in the Bible of things happening because of somebody's obedience, and God opening the kairos time window of time, the opportune time, and all the pieces coming together like a divine orchestration. And Nexus meeting Kairos and things happening. One example I can think of is when Peter lowered his nets all day and all night, and he gave up because he didn't catch anything. But then when Jesus showed up and he said, move a little bit further into the water, further out into the water, and now lower your nets. And Peter says, well, Lord, we did this all night and we didn't catch anything. But because you said it, I will do it. So he lowered the nets, and what came up was so much more than they could handle. They needed a second boat in order to carry what they caught in the net because they were doing it at the wrong time, in the wrong place. But when Jesus showed up and Jesus said, do it now, their obedience manifested the blessing that they were looking for the whole time. Another example I can find is when Abraham and Sarah took matters in their own hand and they decided that they were going to have the son of the promise through Hagar, Sarah's maidservant. And Ishmael was born. He wasn't the son of the promise. He— the, the events were not mature Enough for Isaac to be born in that time. So they took matters in their own hands, and we know what that did to, to the rest of the history. But if we don't obey when God tells us to do something in that moment, at the right time, with the right people, the right location, we will miss that kairos. We will miss the nexus. We will miss the manifestation of the promises of God. I know that He can redeem it. He can restore. He can give us some more opportunities. But walking in obedience is what brings about the manifestation of His promises because there are certain moments in time, seasons in which the Lord wants to manifest certain things. But without us being obedient, they won't manifest. He might use somebody else and we will miss on the blessing. Just like Mordecai said to Esther, he said, you were born for such a time as this. You were chosen to be the queen for such a time as this. And he said, but if you won't do what I'm asking you to do and what you've been chosen for, God will raise somebody else, but you will miss out on the blessing. So I believe the Lord is telling us more than ever to walk in obedience so that we will not miss out on all the blessings and all the promises that he has made to us and all the things that he needs to happen for this particular time and season. He needs our cooperation. He doesn't need us, need us like he's God, he can do it without us. He wants to do things with us for his glory. He wants to show us his power. He wants to be magnified, glorified. He's the God of the impossible. But it's so incredible, so exciting to be used by the Lord to make things come to pass on this earth. So I just want to Encourage you to walk in obedience. Walk in obedience with your Lord. I know that most of the times when He asks us to do something, it's really difficult. It requires blind faith and trust, but He's worthy to be trusted. He's worthy to be obeyed. Obedience is better than sacrifice, but I always say there's no obedience without sacrifice, and vice versa. There's no sacrifice without obedience. There cannot be one without the other. But just trust in the Lord. With all your heart, with all your mind, with all your being, because He will never, He will never leave you. If He's telling you to do something, step out, step out of the boat, lower your nets, make that phone call, write that email, forgive. Forgiveness is a huge one. You know, sometimes we cannot move forward into our next season if we can't forgive. If we can't forgive, God cannot forgive us. Remember that. And if we don't forgive, we cannot even bring our sacrifice to the altar, and He cannot receive our prayers. He cannot listen to our prayers because we have unforgiveness. Unforgiveness is not— it's something that is— that you're carrying, but it only hurts you. It doesn't hurt the other person. And so if you decide to forgive, it's so that you can be set free and that you could receive forgiveness from God and all the other blessings that come when you forgive. It doesn't matter if the other person did not repent. It doesn't matter if the other person did not apologize. And it doesn't matter if the other person knows or doesn't know if you have forgiven them. You forgive for you. It doesn't mean that you have to have a relationship with that person. It doesn't mean that you approve of what they did to you. It just means that you are free and that you can receive God's forgiveness and the blessings he has for you. So people of God, I bless you and I pray that you will walk into the fullness of your identity and purpose.
