Repurposed Pain: A Prophetic Dream & Invitation to Healing

In this heartfelt, faith‑based video, Rosangela shares a vivid prophetic dream in which a winter coat is given to a friend, repurposed into two cropped jackets—one for the friend and one for herself—featuring green sleeves. The dream then shifts to a living room where green pillows, made from a childhood blanket, invite the speaker to cuddle. Rosangela interprets each symbol: the coat represents her past, identity, and experiences; the act of giving it away shows how using one’s history to bless others brings reciprocal blessing. The green color signifies hope, new birth, and growth. The man’s comment that his father is “repurposing my past” illustrates how painful childhood can be transformed into something that blesses others. Rosangela expands the dream’s meaning into a broader theological teaching: God invites believers to surrender pain, emotions, and trauma so He can turn them into purpose, healing, and blessings. She emphasizes that Jesus fully experienced human emotions, making Him empathetic to our suffering, and that believers must voluntarily choose to let God work in their lives. Using the villain‑vs‑superhero analogy, she stresses daily choices between using pain for good or perpetuating cycles of trauma. She calls for holistic healing—emotional, spiritual, mental, and relational—and urges listeners to lay their burdens at the foot of the cross, receive prayer, and walk in their God‑given identity and purpose. The video concludes with a fervent prayer asking for God’s love, peace, freedom, and transformation for anyone carrying pain.

Hello everyone, Rosangela here. I wanted to share with you, um, very brief but very meaningful dream that the Lord gave me a couple of nights ago. In this dream, I was with a friend and she needed a winter jacket and I gave her mine. She brought it somewhere and had it repurposed into different jackets. One was for her And one was for me. They looked very different from one another. Hers looked very similar to the one I had given her, but obviously because the jacket was made into 2 different ones, they were both shorter. They were cropped jackets. Hers had a hood. Mine didn't. And mine was made out of the lining of the jacket, and it had these green sleeves that were added. To it. Then the scene changes and I am at somebody's house, and in his living room there's this couch with these 2 beautiful green pillows. And I commented on how beautiful they were and how cozy they looked, and I said I would love to cuddle up on that couch because those pillows look so inviting. He said thank you, and he said it's just my father repurposing my past. And then I woke up. And I started writing down the dream, and I already had a pretty good idea what everything meant, but the Lord kept giving me more pieces of revelation about each element and what they meant. So a coat represents many things. It can represent many things depending on the context of the dream. In this case, it represented my past, my experiences, my identity, something that I wore every day, something that I carried with me every day, and something that also kind of protected me in a way, because a lot of us tend to identify, tend to place our identities in our experiences, in our past, and me giving it to her represented me using my past and my experiences in a purposeful way, in a meaningful way, by giving her something that would protect her from the cold, protect her from the elements, something that she needed because winter coat in the winter, especially in cold weather, it's pretty essential. And so the fact that she had it repurposed in two different ones, one for her and one for me, signified that not only she was going to be benefiting from it by being warm and covered, but but it also came back to me as a blessing because as we bless others, we are blessed as well. And so it was a way of of the Lord telling me. To continue to harness that pain, those experiences, those negative feelings and emotions, and turning them into something meaningful, something purposeful, something useful for those around me, especially women, because that's what my passion lies. That's where my Heart is, and that's what I actually do as a profession. And so, just to keep doing what I'm doing, and I would also be blessed in turn. And the other part of the dream, this man saying that it's just my father repurposing my pain. Oh, and his pillows were made from a childhood blanket. So, the meaning of that is. That the Lord was using his past, his painful childhood, and repurposing it into something that would bring blessings to others. Like those pillows, they were so inviting. They really— you really wanted to jump on that couch and just, you know, cuddle on those pillows with a blanket. That's what the feeling was to me in the dream. It was really warm and inviting. And He, by doing that, that signified to me that the man had let the Lord take his past, his painful past, and instead of being something that he covered himself with, something that he carried with him like a security blanket, he was actually repurposing that pain and turning it into something that could bless others. And the color green to me signified hope, new birth, growth, multiplication. It's just a very inviting, welcoming color, a calming color. And it's to me the Lord telling us to You know, to yield to that, to the process. If we let him turn our pain, our past, our experiences into something beautiful, he will use that to bless others. And in turn, we will be blessed because it is a blessing to see people's lives changed and to see that what you're doing is actually helping people, is actually changing their lives, is actually enabling them to walk in their identity and to walk in their purpose. And And it is such a fulfilling thing to do. And you know, we have a choice. We have a choice every day to make, to let the Lord take that pain and take that, that, that, that those negative feelings and emotions and turn them into something beautiful. And it's, it's painful. It's not easy to let ourselves feel those things, to actually, you know, let those things out because we need to feel in order to heal. If we don't let those emotions flow out of us without condemnation or shame, you know, even Jesus felt emotions. He felt sadness, he felt fear, he felt pain, he felt anguish, he felt anger, he felt all the emotions because, you know, sometimes we forget that Jesus was not just God. He was also man. That's why he had to come to the earth. The reason was that he wanted to understand why we are the way we are, you know, and he was the ultimate sacrifice for our sin. But it was also to understand why man does the things he does and why we feel the way we feel. He was, you know, he was tempted in every way, the word says, but he did not fall into temptation. He was sinless. He was perfect. But he does understand. You know, we don't serve a God that is far removed from our emotions. He completely understands. That doesn't mean that we are excused. Of course, we have to do everything we can to change. We have to put in a lot of work in order to turn that pain into purpose. God is not going to do it if we don't want to, if we don't let him. You know, I always use this analogy of the villain and the superhero. They are born from the same pain, but one chooses to use it for the good of others and to help save the world, and the other one chooses it to turn into more pain and multiply that pain and that trauma that they went through. When they experience, you know, that pain. So we have a choice to make every single day to either let God take that pain, turn it into something beautiful, turn the beauty, you know, the ashes into something beautiful, and— or we can turn it into something ugly and evil and demonic by multiplying the cycles instead of breaking them. We need to choose every single day. We need to choose to do good. We need to choose to put others in front of ourselves. We need to let go. We need to let our flesh die. We need to always think about others more than we think of ourselves. Do what is— what would Jesus do? That is basically it. What would Jesus do? And we have a very important choice to make every single day. And Jesus doesn't want us to live in pain, to live tormented in our thoughts, to have unforgiveness, to have bitterness, resentment. There's no— it's no way to live. Yes, ultimately it's about forgiveness of sins. It's about salvation. But he also wants us to prosper in life in every way. You know, may you prosper as your soul prospers. We are three-part beings, and we need holistic healing. We need healing in every part of our being: our emotions, our soul, our heart, our mind. You know, we live from survival. We are stuck in these cycles of trauma and dysfunction just because of our the way we were brought up, or the way we were treated by somebody, the way we were betrayed, or some specific traumatic event that we've been through. But Jesus came. Bring healing to every part of us if we let him. It's something that we have to choose to do. It's not— he's not going to come in and force us to relinquish to him the pain and the burdens that we carry. It's something that we have to voluntarily do and let go. And he will turn our pain into purpose because that's what he does. He redeems, he restores, he turns graves into gardens, he brings life. To every part of our being. And it's something that we, like I said many times in this video, we need to choose to do. So I want to encourage you today, if you are going through something painful or if you're stuck in this cycle of trauma and pain and you can't get over it, Even if it's, you know, a lot of time has passed, you're still stuck there. I want to pray for you, and I want to pray with you, and I want to invite you to leave it at the foot of the cross, because that's where we find our freedom. That's where we find who we are. That's where we can fully receive his love. And begin to walk in our purpose. Only when we are free from those things, we can be filled again anew with His love. And so I want to pray for you right now. Hallelujah, Jesus! I thank you, Lord, for this beautiful message that you gave me to share with my brothers and sisters. I pray, Lord, that whoever is listening to this message, whoever has. Pain in their hearts, Lord, whoever is still stuck in those painful cycles, Lord Jesus, that you would bring your love, Lord, into every area, and that they would feel that love, and that they would feel that peace and that freedom that comes from knowing you, and that they would relinquish that pain at the feet of the cross, and they will let you Begin the painful work that they need to go through in order to be free. But it's so worth it, Lord Jesus. It's painful to feel those emotions. It's painful to let those to let yourself feel those emotions. But Jesus, you want to bring healing to those places. And if they don't empty themselves, if they don't let go of those things, they cannot be filled, Lord. In every area of their being. So I pray, Lord Jesus, that You would bring that peace, that You would bring that joy, that everlasting joy that comes only from knowing You, and that they would be transformed, Lord, into the image of Christ, and that they would begin to walk in their purpose, Lord, and fulfill, Lord, everything that You have written in their books, that they could experience complete freedom and joy and peace no matter what the circumstances are, Lord Jesus. Amen. I thank you, Lord. I thank you, Lord Jesus, for your love and for everything you've done for us, for everything that you have placed on the inside of us, because we have all the weapons we need to fight against the forces of the enemy and be victorious in you. In your name we pray, Lord. Amen. I want to encourage you If you prayed this prayer, that you would make the conscious decision to leave those things at the feet of the cross and take up Jesus's yoke because it's light, and that you would begin to walk in the fullness of your identity and fulfill your purpose, because that is why we are here on this earth. May the Lord bless you.
