In this personal testimony, Rosangela Atte recounts a pivotal moment at age 19 when, after a severe motorcycle accident and extensive medical imaging, she discovered she was pregnant. Doctors advised termination due to radiation exposure and potential disability, but Rosangela, yearning to be a mother, prayed for divine direction. She describes hearing a clear voice from God telling her, "Rosangela, choose life," and receiving a promise that a sign of His healing would be her child's blue eyes. She obeyed, married her boyfriend, and gave birth to a son with striking blue eyes who grew up to become a maxillofacial and plastic surgeon. Rosangela uses this story to urge listeners considering abortion to choose life, emphasizing that every person is fearfully and wonderfully made by God, with a unique purpose and calling. She also extends forgiveness and redemption to those who have had abortions, citing Psalm 139 and Jeremiah 29:11, and encourages repentance and reliance on God's love and plans. The testimony blends personal narrative, theological interpretation, and a persuasive pro‑life message.

Today I want to share something with you that I have never shared before publicly. When I was 19 years old, I almost had an abortion. I had a really bad motorcycle accident with my boyfriend, and when they took me to the hospital to figure out what was wrong with me, because I would scream in pain every time they moved me, they gave me x-rays, MRIs, and ultrasounds, and they figured out that I had broken ribs on the left side of my body. As I recovered, I realized I was pregnant. And when I went to see the doctors, they told me that I should terminate the pregnancy because of all the radiations that I had been given a few weeks earlier. And they said, you know, you're really young, you have your whole life ahead of you. You don't want to have a child that might be handicapped or abnormal. You should terminate the pregnancy. And I really, really wanted this baby. I really wanted to be a mom. I always wanted to be a mom since I was a little kid. And, but at the same time, I was so scared of having a severely disabled child. Like, how, what would my future look like? What would the baby's future look like? Was I going to be a single mom? Like, all these questions just tormented me. And I grew up in a Christian home. My boyfriend was not a Christian, but obviously I was living in sin. But I always loved the Lord and I always believed He was real. And so one day I was in the bathroom and I was crying out to Him and I asked Him, Tell me what to do. I know what the right thing to do is. I know what you, you know, what you want from me, but I need you to tell me what to do. I need, I need your confirmation. I need to know that my baby's going to be okay. And he says, Rosangela, choose life and your faith and obedience will heal your child. I heard this so loud and clear. I said, okay, God, I will do that. I will have this child. I will obey you, but you have to promise me that the sign that you have healed him in my womb will be his blue eyes. I said, he will have blue eyes, and that is the sign that you have healed him in my womb. I got out of the bathroom. I was a different person. I told everybody that I was going to have this child. It was going to be a boy, and he was going to have blue eyes. My boyfriend and I ended up getting married. Our son was born months later, and he was perfect. He was perfect, and he had the bluest blue eyes, blue like the sky. And my husband and I both have brown eyes. I believe that the Lord healed him in my womb and that he gave me gave him the blue eyes as a sign. And now he is 31 years old. He is a maxillofacial surgeon and a plastic surgeon. I believe the Lord also gave him a gift of healing because he is a brilliant young man. I wanted to share this today specifically. For those of you who are thinking of having an abortion, that are considering having an abortion because of what the doctor said, or because you don't feel like you're ready to be a mother, I want you to know that each and every one of us is fearfully and wonderfully made, intricately woven by the hand of God, intentionally Made with love and attention, curated. Every stitch of our being, everything about us is intentionally there because God wanted it there. We all have a calling. We all have giftings. We all have assignments. And we are all chosen. We all come from the heart of God. God will help you raise this child. God will give you the strength. You will never regret having this baby. We will never regret having this baby. And for those of you who have unfortunately made the decision and have had an abortion, I'm telling you that God loves you and he will forgive you if you repent and ask for forgiveness. He loves you. Don't let the shame and the guilt of that decision consume you. Live your life following the will of God. He can redeem, he can restore. That baby is in heaven waiting for you. You will be reunited with that baby. Don't let that decision ruin your life. You also have an assignment. You also are chosen. You also have a mandate to accomplish, a purpose to accomplish. You also have an identity in Christ, and it doesn't matter what you did. If you've repented and asked God to forgive you, he has forgiven you. He has forgiven you, and he loves you. Don't let the lies of the enemy consume your life. Don't let the guilt and the shame consume you and dictate how you live. There's so many people that have made mistakes. I've made many mistakes, but God has forgiven us. He loves us. We all have a plan and a purpose and an identity. Psalm 139 says that every day of our life has been written in his book. Every one, every single day that we are going to live is written already in his book. You want to fulfill your destiny. God has great plans for your life, just like Jeremiah 29:11 says, to give us a hope And a future. But I just wanted to come on and share this testimony because I know there's a lot of people that are in the same shoes that I was in a long time ago. And I hope this will encourage you to choose your child, to choose life, because there's nothing more beautiful than bringing a child into the world, especially seeing how who they are and how they grow up to be who they grow up to be and how God has made them so skillfully and differently. Every one of my children is different from each other. They're all different from each other. They're all special. They're all beautiful, and they're all called by God. And so are you. So I hope this blesses you. Jesus loves you, and I love you too.
