In this single‑speaker devotional, the presenter delivers a motivational sermon that frames personal spiritual growth as a process of divine refinement, using the biblical narrative of Joseph and the natural metamorphosis of a caterpillar into a butterfly as central metaphors. He explains that, like Joseph, believers are tested and purified—burned away from pride, unforgiveness, bitterness, and other flesh‑based survival mechanisms that arise from trauma—so that they can reflect God’s image and be entrusted with greater authority (a “mantle upgrade”). The sermon details how the refining fire removes impurities, likening it to metal being melted, and then rebuilds the individual, much as a chrysalis liquefies a caterpillar and later forms a butterfly with a pre‑ordained blueprint (the imago cells). Once the new creation is complete, the believer is called to “pollinate”—to multiply fruit for God’s kingdom—by stewarding the newly‑given power and anointing. The speaker concludes with an invitation for listeners to receive this word, affirm their readiness, and share the message.

Blessings, people of God. I have a message from the Lord, and he wants you to know that your time of refinement is over. Your mantle is being upgraded. Of course, the first thing I thought was the story of Joseph. He was refined, just as Psalm 105:19 says, that until the words that the Lord gave him, until those dreams, the prophecy that the Lord gave him came to pass, the Lord Tested him. And that word tested means refining, just as metal goes through the fire to be refined so that all the impurities can come up and be burnt off so that the refiner can see his reflection in the melted metal. Until then, the Lord tested Joseph until he could see his own reflection In the life of Joseph, Joseph was tested and then he was entrusted with power and authority. Why did he have to go through that refinement? Because when we are wounded, when we have trauma on the inside of us, in our soul, we have all these survival mechanisms, all these mindsets, all these things that have been created in us as a result of the trauma. That hinder the work of the Lord, hinder the flow of the Holy Spirit. These, these are all from the flesh. These are all things that come from the flesh: pride, unforgiveness, resentment, bitterness. These are all things that come from our experiences, and until we are purified of all that, until we are completely free from all of this, we cannot lead with justice. We cannot lead with compassion because everything we see, we look through a lens, different lenses that distort the reality, distort the way we see God, the way we see people, the way we see ourselves, the way we relate to circumstances and to people. These are all layers that have been put on us because of all the experiences we went through as we were growing up. And Joseph went through so much. Not only he was betrayed by those who were supposed to love him, but he was also accused unjustly by Potiphar's wife. And even in prison, he succeeded. Even in prison, wherever he went, he succeeded. The favor of the Lord was upon him. And I believe Joseph yielded to the process of the refinement. He didn't rebel. You know, he could have started a revolt in the prison, but he didn't. He was given by the master of the prison the authority and the power to oversee everything and everyone, and everything that was done in the prison— that's what the word says— was done because Joseph did it. And so wherever he went, he proved his character. Wherever he went, he proved that he was a man that people could rely on. He was a man of excellence. And if you remember, when Joseph had those dreams, he didn't have the discernment to keep it to himself. He told his brothers and his parents, and of course they were offended because, you are the youngest, and what are you saying, that one day we will bow down to you? So he was a little bit proud. He was, you know, bragging about these dreams. He knew exactly what they meant. And so we see that he wasn't even close to being ready to lead. I mean, he was only 17. And so the Lord had to burn away all that flesh, all the pride, all the bitterness that came from the experiences, all the unforgiveness, all the resentment. He had to burn it off, literally refining Joseph, melting him like metal. And building him up again. And this is exactly the process all of us have to go through if we want to be entrusted with great authority and power and leadership. And that's exactly what happens to a caterpillar in a cocoon. The caterpillar starts shedding before it encloses itself in the cocoon, and once it's inside, these enzymes get activated. And the body of the caterpillar completely liquefies. It decomposes. It becomes mucus. And the only thing left in that chrysalis is little cells called the imago cells. Imago is a Latin word that means image. The image of Christ for us. It contains the blueprint of what the butterfly is going to look like. The size, the design, the color, the size of the legs, the type of butterfly, everything is Enclosed in that tiny little cell. And once the caterpillar is completely liquefied and the butterfly is ready to be born, it starts building up brick by brick, a little bit at a time, this new creation, because the old one is dead. And that's what happens to us when we die to the flesh. We die completely to who we were. All our dreams, all our vision, all that we desire, all the plans, all the agendas, all the motives completely die. We relinquish, we give it to God, and then he slowly rebuilds us when we find— when he finds us refined. When we are completely dead, he gives us a new life. We have to lose ourselves to find our true selves. And once a butterfly is ready to fly, It takes flight and it's ready to multiply the anointing. And that's what a butterfly does, it pollinates and it multiplies the flower, right? The flowers and the plants. And that's what we do, we multiply, we bring fruit to the kingdom of God, but only once we are ready to handle that power and authority. And so the Lord wants you to know that your time of refinement is over. Your mantle is being upgraded because every time Joseph's mantle was was either taken, grabbed, or he was called onto another level of anointing. He had a new mantle placed on him, and your mantle is being upgraded. Your time of refinement is over. You have been found obedient. You have reached the time of refinement, the place of refinement. You have been upgraded in your anointing, in your assignment, and now you are ready to pollinate and to multiply and bring Great fruit to the kingdom of God. So I just wanted to come on and encourage you with this powerful word, and I pray that it will resonate with you, that you will take that word, that you will receive it and make it yours, and say, "Yes, God, I am ready. Send me out. I am ready to steward the power and authority that you have given me in this new season, this new assignment."
