Ryan Maloney takes breaks from digital art on his iPad to paint with acrylics and Posca pens. The physical media requires a different order: color first, then ink lines, which frustrates him. He's still figuring out the tools and wants feedback as he experiments.

Every once in a while I take a digital breather to create some artwork outside of the iPad. I'm making this painting with regular acrylic paints and Posca or Posca pens, however you say it. I'm still getting used to them. With digital art you can drop the lines down first, but with these pens and paint you need to drop the colors and then do the ink lines over top. I get a little impatient. And a little frustrated. These paints just don't seem fully perfect to me. We can experiment. Let me know what you think.
