Ryan Maloney shows how Adobe Character Animator maps your face and voice to an animated character in real time. The software syncs lips to what you say, tracks your body movement, and lets you control the whole character by moving your head. You can edit the pre-built characters' artwork in Photoshop as long as the file names match the template.

This is Adobe Character Animator. It's a program that allows you to map your face with animated characters. When it hears my voice and my mouth moves, the character's mouth moves. There are also some body movements to it. It comes with a bunch of pre-built characters that you can open up, and then you'll be able to edit their PSD file to change the layers to look like your artwork. As long as you keep your PSD file named exactly like the template, the characters will move as you move. Right now I'm just moving my head to get this whole entire character to move. This is a great way to quickly add movement to your characters. And there's some cool automated features. See these bubbles? They just keep animating whether I move or not. Same with the fin. One other thing to look into, there's live streaming options as well. Let me know what you think. Do you use Adobe Character Animator? Uh, I do.
