In this concise YouTube review, Ryan Maloney introduces Apple’s Freeform as a free, endless‑canvas app that blends the drawing capabilities of Procreate with the note‑taking simplicity of Apple Notes. He explains how he now uses Freeform daily, allowing him to draw, write, and add sticky notes on a limitless board, and notes that it’s beginning to replace his previous workflow tools such as Notion, Reminders, and other note‑taking apps. Maloney then outlines three feature requests he’d like to see: the ability to link one Freeform page to another directly from drawings or text (similar to Notion’s page linking), a quick‑share option for drawings to TikTok or other social platforms, and native embedding of Reminders lists and note pages within Freeform.

Great app for organizing your ideas. This is Freeform from Apple. Free app. If I had to describe it, it's like a merging of Procreate and Apple Notes. Right now I capture ideas in Notion, Reminders. Freeform is an endless canvas that lets you draw, write, add sticky notes. I've been using this every day. It's beginning to replace all those other apps I just mentioned. I'd like to see Freeform implement a few things. I'd like to see them add page linking. Say I draw this line here and I want it to link to another Freeform page. I should just be able to select it and say link to this page. Very much like Notion allows you to link any text to any page. I'd like to be able to just select this drawing here and right-click and say share to TikTok or other social media platforms. And I'd like to be able to embed reminders lists and note pages.
