Every time I open up Adobe Character Animator, I'm impressed by the features they add to this. Animator lets you record your face, and the character will track your face and your mouth movements. Designing backgrounds would have taken a long time back in the day. Now you can just swap them. If you're new to the program, just open up the character in Adobe Photoshop and draw over the layers. Keep the layers named the same exact way, and then point the camera at your face.
