Ryan Maloney shows how to build a 3D box in After Effects using the Create 3D Shapes plugin from aescripts.com. Create a solid layer, enable 3D, open the plugin panel, and click Create. Each face takes text, images, or character layers, and you can rotate the whole box into a full 3D space.

Let's create this 3D box in After Effects. Go over to aescripts.com and search for Create 3D Shapes. This is an older plugin, so you can name your own price. I'm going to create one solid layer, get a 3D layer, then you go down to Window, Create 3D Box, and hit Create. What you can do from there is pretty much endless. You can put text, images, characters on each side of that box, spin things around, and make a 3D environment right within After Effects.
