Ryan Maloney shows how to draw tapered lines in Procreate by starting with light pressure and gradually pressing harder. The line gets thinner at the top and thicker at the bottom, creating weighted strokes that add depth to characters and designs.
You're trying to draw smooth lines in Procreate. Know that the iPad is pressure sensitive. Your line width is going to vary based on how hard you press. When you're drawing your lines, know that at the top of the shape, I'm going to press very gently, and then at the bottom, I'm going to increase how hard I press. That'll give you a tapered line. At the top, it'll be skinnier. At the bottom, it'll be thicker, and your lines will end up looking smooth and weighted and give your characters and your designs a little bit more depth and dimension.
