Ryan Maloney shows how to link Procreate artwork to InDesign so layouts update automatically when you change the illustration. Export your Procreate file as PSD to a cloud folder, place it in InDesign, and any new export overwrites the linked file and refreshes the layout instantly.

Let me show you how I connect Procreate to InDesign so every time you update your artwork in Procreate, it automatically updates in InDesign. Was that too complicated of a hook? I don't know. I'm first going to make my drawing in Procreate. This is for a graphic novel I'm working on, so the page is a little bit taller than my usual artwork. I'm dropping in a rough sketch and then building the lines and the color over top of it. I always mess up my color drops. Let me just fix that. Let's try it again. Okay, that worked. I'm going to go through, add some highlights and shadows, just create layers on top of that, put some whites and blacks, mess around with the overlays, figure out what works best for you. For shadows, I set the layers to darken because that's what people in my comments tell me to do. Here's where you transfer the file. I saved this as a PSD Photoshop file directly to a Dropbox file. You could probably use Google Drive or some other free version. Then I place it in InDesign, and now every single time I update that Procreate file, I export it as a PSD and this will update.
