In this brief video, Ryan Maloney explains the genesis of his project "The Night My Bed Turned into a Submarine." He reveals that the story originally existed as a picture book titled "The Night My Bed Turned into a Spaceship," featuring the protagonist Till. After creating an initial draft of a graphic novel that felt too juvenile and confusing, Ryan decided to pivot the concept, reworking the narrative and visuals into the current graphic novel format, now depicting the bed turning into a submarine.
