Here's how to create an animation in Procreate and bring it into After Effects. First, make a drawing on one layer, then go to your settings, turn on animation assist, then add as many layers as you want. You'll see each layer becomes a frame at the bottom of Procreate. Then just create your next drawing. Test your animation by hitting play. Then we're going to export it. As PNG files. Send it to your computer. In After Effects, go to File, Import, Multiple Files. Find the PNG in your downloads. Select PNG Sequence. Now you have an animated PNG string in After Effects. Drag it to the timeline and position it on screen. Now you have a hand-drawn effect in After Effects.
