Here's a tip on how to finish your drawings: hit past your target. It's not enough to just come up with an idea and plan things out. That's super easy. Ideas are a dime a dozen. Good ideas, okay, those are worth a little bit more. The hard part is doing, producing. It's painful. You'll have doubts. Everyone else will be golfing and you'll be sitting here drawing or creating something and you'll want to go do something else. But that's not even the hardest part. Finishing and publishing is the hardest part. Doing it every day, hitting publish even if you don't agree with what you created, doing it every day. When I find it impossible to create, impossible to finish something, I think about this concept from football. This is the typical goal somebody has to make a tackle at this spot, but that's not what you want to do. When you go to tackle something, you hit 10 yards past that target. You're still aiming for your goal, but you're pushing way past it. So getting to your goal is not even painful at all. You blow right by that. This is the end of Corny's self-help drawing tips.
