Here's an introduction to 4 animation apps and how you can use them. Adobe After Effects. This program is great for compositing or bringing together video footage, text, images, sounds, music, and putting it all together on the same timeline to get a cohesive video. Adobe Animate. A ton of cartoons on TikTok use this to animate their cartoons. I find it easier to do character animation in Adobe Animate, and I like their new automatic lip syncing feature. Adobe Character Animator. Aim a camera at your face and watch it automatically animate. And you can also do live streaming with the animations too. Toon Boom Harmony. I keep telling myself I'm going to learn this, but I haven't yet. But a lot of the larger productions use Harmony for their animation. There are tons of cool features, but the thing that holds me back is it's not an Adobe program and you need to do everything mostly in Harmony.
