You're watching me make the Asher Roth and Lil Yachty "Way More Fun" music video. I'm gonna be animating most of the video in Adobe After Effects, and I wanted to give you a very basic introduction to After Effects. So this can freak a lot of people out, but if you want to get into animating, it might be worth learning. Here's a basic run-through of the user interface. This is your project panel. You can import graphics, Photoshop files, videos, audio, It all goes in here. It's just your bucket where you keep all of your files. At the bottom of your screen, you have the timeline. Each timeline is called a comp or composition, and you can have many of them, and you can put comps inside comps. Notice how this comp is also found up in the project panel. So you can double-click in here and your timeline will show up here. To make one of these comps, you just go to Composition, New Composition. And you can use the tools panel to add shapes or text. That was way longer than 10 seconds, but I hope people can answer questions in the comments. That's After Effects.
