Ryan Maloney shows how he's building the Asher Roth and Lil' Yachty "Way More Fun" video, designing backgrounds and compositing them in After Effects at the same time. He sketches props that don't exist, like a bamboo jet ski, and uses a 3D airplane from Anton M12 to place Lil' Yachty in scenes.

You're watching me make the Asher Roth and Lil Yachty "Way More Fun" music video. Right now I'm designing backgrounds and compositing everything into After Effects. At the same time, I'm still testing out my timing of the scenes, so I design my backgrounds halfway, bring them into After Effects, and make sure that the timing works out with the visuals. I'm starting to experiment with some prop design, like a bamboo jet ski. I've never seen one, so I wanted to draw one. Last video, I was working on a 3D airplane to put Yachty in. 3D artist Anton M12 reached out to me with a fully designed airplane, and I thought it looked so cool I'm going to use it in the video. More to come on that in future videos. Follow along to watch me make this music video.
