Here's a mistake I made working on my graphic novel. As you can see through these coffee stains, I started writing this a long time ago, and it actually started way before this point. When I started drawing the graphic novel, I inked and colored the pages and tried to make each one perfect. Big mistake. So I changed my plan. I started creating rough storyboards and layouts of the entire book. I went from drawing one page a day to storyboarding about 10 pages per day. It's rough, but I'm moving along much quicker. Once I get to the end, I'll go back create another layer of rough sketches but a little bit more refined, and then ink and color.
