This is my coloring process in Procreate, and hopefully you can use some of these tips to speed up your workflow. Every drawing follows the same process: rough sketch, and then I ink it with lines, and then I lay in flat colors. Then on a layer on top of that, I use a black studio pen in low opacity to create the shadows. After shadows, I move to highlights. Here's the checklist I follow for every single drawing: sketch, lines, flat colors, shadows, highlights, And then I'm always making time to experiment, see if I can incorporate new techniques into my work. Here's a look at the final results. Like and follow for more art and animation tips.
