Ryan Maloney uses two brushes in Procreate: the Crunchy Cow Pen, a tapered brush that gets thicker with pressure, and the Tortoise Pen, a monoline brush with consistent width. He prefers the monoline now because the tapered brush requires too many undos to get lines right.

When I'm drawing in Procreate, I pick two brushes to work with. It's either gonna be a tapered line or a straight line. Tapered line is a take on the Studio Pen. It's called the Crunchy Cow Pen, and it's got a little bit of weight. When you push down into it, you're gonna get a thicker line, and usually I put that at the bottom of objects, and then at the top, I'm gonna put a thinner line. So this will give my objects some weight. The second pen I use is in the calligraphy tab. I call it the Tortoise Pen. It's a monoline pen with a little bit of thickness. Lately, I've been doing mostly monoline drawing because working with a tapered line, you have to undo the drawing so many times to get your line perfect.
