Ryan Maloney pitches a music video for Owl City's "Unbelievable" built around a VHS tape as the main character. The concept floods the frame with early-90s nostalgia: Mentos, Vanilla Ice, MC Hammer, Hanson, Jurassic Park clips, and a final "Be kind, rewind" sign-off that seals the retro vibe.

Owl City, unbelievable. I came up with the idea for a VHS tape as the main character because it's all about nostalgia. I just packed this video full of like Mentos, Coca-Cola, SpaghettiOs, laser tag, building treehouses, playing in the woods, Nintendo games. I wanted to look sort of grainy, broken, like an old VHS tape. Here's some Vanilla Ice, MC Hammer. Here is a Jurassic Park scene. The VHS tape hops in here. The Hanson guys chewing some bubble gum, transitioning to the next scene. Here's an Etch-A-Sketch, one of my favorite toys growing up. A little Dr. Seuss action. Let's not forget the McDonald's french fries. A little performance. Be kind, rewind. I figured was kind of a cute way to end this video because that's what we have to do when we recorded VHS tapes back in the day.
