When I'm creating an animated music video, I first listen and visualize. I try to see the scenes in my head. Then I do this backwards. I create an animatic first in Adobe Animate, and then I create storyboards from them. Next up, character and background design, also done in Adobe Animate. I design and animate the characters in Adobe Animate. The mouth is auto-lip synced to the audio track on the timeline, saving a ton of time. Last thing up is to composite in After Effects. Wasn't much to do here but the titles.
