Ryan Maloney shows how to animate text that pops in letter by letter, then continuously grows. He uses Animation Composer for the pop-in, then parents each letter to a null object and keyframes its scale to make them all expand together.

Let's add a continual grow effect to these letters. I'll use Animation Composer to make each one of these letters pop into the screen, but then after that happens, I want them to continually grow. So I'm going to pick whip each layer to this null. Then I set the scale properties of the null to grow over time. So the letters will pop in individually, but they'll be connected to this layer, and the increasing scale of that layer will make them grow over time.
