Ryan Maloney shows motion graphics designers how to avoid misaligned client feedback timestamps. Edit from the end of the timeline backward instead of front to back. This keeps time markers accurate when you make changes in After Effects or Premiere.

Here's a time-saving tip for motion graphics designers and editors. When you send your video to your client, you're going to get feedback going along the timeline in a nice little progression like that. Don't be an amateur and make this mistake. Back in my younger days, I probably would have started here and just worked my way down, just done all the edits and sent it off. But if you do that, say at the 1-minute mark, all of the notes after the 1-minute mark get messed up and you can't keep track of them in After Effects or Premiere. So I like to just start at the end and make edits going from back to front. That way the timeline stays all nice and tidy and all the time markers match up when you're working in After Effects and Premiere.
