EP029: Preventing the Effects of Electrosmog with Nicolas Pineault
Podcast episode (Nov 2, 2018) featuring host Sachin Patel and guest Nicolas Pineault discussing electrosmog/EMF risks and practical clinical responses. Pineault describes his transition from food journalism to EMF research and his book The Non-Tinfoil Guide to EMFs. He presents a three-step clinical approach for practitioners: (1) screen patients with an EMF questionnaire (cell phone use, router placement, smart meters, cars, occupational exposure); (2) mitigate exposures (distance, airplane mode, turn off routers at night, wired Ethernet, building biologist/home survey, consider advanced measures for highly sensitive patients); (3) create EMF protocols combining mitigation with lifestyle, detox and supportive supplements (Klinghardt protocols, rosemary extract, green propolis, chlorella). He cites: large increase in microwave-range exposures (graphic by Alasdair Phillips, described as ~10^18 increase since 1920), WHO 2011 classification as Group 2B (possible carcinogen), Magda Havas (2014) estimated ~35% may have mild–moderate electrosensitivity, Martin Pall (2013) mechanism via voltage-gated calcium channels, and practical tips/case studies showing symptom improvement after mitigation. Resources: The Non-Tinfoil Guide to EMFs (book, Amazon), electrosmugrx.com (free practitioner PDF), Lessemf.com, antennaSearch, and building biologists/Geovital consultants for home surveys.

Hello everyone, and welcome to a very exciting episode today of Perfect Practice. In today's episode, I have a very special guest, Nicholas Pinault. And Nicholas is a renowned expert. Despite appearingly his young age, he's a very, very renowned expert in the world of EMF and electrosmog. So this is a huge topic, it's a huge concern. It affects each and every single one of us. Ironically, the fact that you're listening to this means that you are in some way being impacted by EMF or electrosmog. Unless you've downloaded this to your phone and put your phone in airplane mode, which I hope you're doing to listen to this. So here's the thing. Nick's got a great book. It's called the Non Tin foil guide to EMFs. And EMF stands for electromagnetic frequencies. If you've never heard of this, then you've probably been living under a rock. But if you have, you know, kind of questions or concerns or you want more information, then this is going to be probably one of the best talks you've ever heard. I'm going to go into this with a beginner's mindset because I like to do that with everything I learn. I want to. It's going to. I'm going to ask some really basic questions, Nick, if that's okay with you, and I'm going to ask maybe some more advanced questions. But with all that being said, if you want to know more about how your cell phone, your computer, these 5G networks and smart meters and all the little contraptions in your life impact your health in a positive and or negative way, then this is going to be a very important podcast to listen to. If you're a practitioner, I certainly want you to pay close attention because this is something that could be impacting your patients. Certain percentage of people are very sensitive to electrosmog and it could be undoing or unraveling the amazing outcomes that you're trying to achieve. For them. If you're a patient and you feel like you're doing everything right, then this is something that you want to pay attention to as well, because it could be a subtle, invisible force that. That's negating some of the things that you're doing, or it could even be one of the root causes of your illness. So pay close attention whether you're a practitioner, whether you're a patient. And with that being said, welcome, Nicholas.
Thanks so much, Satchin. That's a great intro. I couldn't put it better. And I can't wait to share this information with everyone listening to this.
Well, I'm super excited. For my own personal, selfish reasons, if you will. That's usually how. Right. Yeah, I can. To protect myself and my family. And I run a business online just like you do. So we're in front of the computer a lot more than we'd probably like to be. In an ideal world, we'd be able to do everything telepathically in our heads. But until we get to that point in the future, we've got to use technology. And I'm grateful for it. So it's kind of bittersweet. It's one of those bittersweet situations where I'm super grateful for it. I couldn't imagine my life without it. But now I want to make sure that I'm not allowing it to cause invisible or subtle harm to my body, and especially if there's something that I can do to prevent that. So I'm interested for myself. I'm interested for the clients that we work with. I'm interested for the practitioners that I coach and train. I'm interested for my son because, you know, he's probably like, we didn't. I wasn't bombarded with EMF my entire life. Right. Like, he's sure generation is going to be exposed to basically WI fi everywhere they go their entire life. So I'm certainly interested in protecting the children. And as some of you may or may not know, children tend to be more sensitive to emf. And I'm sure we're going to get into that during this conversation. So with all that being said, Nick, how did you get into this? Because this is not a topic that very many people discuss, although it's super important. And you're one of the few people that's talking about this. So why don't you tell us a little bit more about that?
Sure. So I fell down the rabbit hole a few years ago. I used to talk about food. And really my thing was practices of the food industry that I found unacceptable and revealing them to my small list. It was really a thing where I started the blog in French language back in 2009, after uni, really. So, my God, it's almost 10 years ago. I'm not that young now, 31, but still. So I've been at it about 10 years, and I have a communications background. Then I did professional copywriting and a bit of journalism on the side. So then I just started online and researching about the food industry and just finding these things where I was like, well, it doesn't make sense. For example, a percentage of all wild salmon in restaurants was tested, and they figured out that, well, a large percentage of the wild salmon is, in fact, farmed salmon. And to me, it was unacceptable. I'm like, guys, this is Cam, essentially, and this is really what got me passionate about revealing information to the public, because I find it unacceptable when I started digging into cell phones for my own education, just like you're doing right now, Satchin. I read a few books, very inspirational books to me, like Deborah Davis's Disconnect. I think it dates back from 2011, if I'm not mistaken. And Deborah Davis used to be working for the US government to regulate pesticides and lead, and she fought a lot of hard battles against the tobacco industry, if I'm not mistaken. So she has a very, let's say, mainstream background, and she was, and she still is, fighting against this new monster that is emfs and cell phone radiation and the possible effects on human health. So as a. As a investigative health journalist, I figured, well, Deborah is. She's a PhD scientist. She's been working in the mainstream for years. Why is it that she thinks it's credible enough to dedicate an entire book and now her entire life to the topic? So it got me interested because I don't think people do things that passionately for really illusory or stupid reasons. So it got me into the topic, and then what I discovered is that the topic is credible. And I figured, well, oh my God, this is not tinfoil. After. After. All right, this is not tinfoil Hatter stuff. This is not just a conspiracy theory. And there's actually a lot of real scientists that look at the evidence that we have in the moment, the amount of studies that have been out throughout the years, honestly, it's been since the years of the military using radar in the 70s and even before that, that the effects of these EMFs, including the microwave radiation from radar, which is the. Essentially the same microwave radiation from a Cell phone or from WI Fi or from Bluetooth, and. And they've been researching these health effects. And a lot of countries actually started taking action a few years back. France, Israel, the island of Cyprus. And I found all these things that basically goes mainly unreported in Canadian media. So I never heard these things that in Poland, people were in the streets at one point in the city of Krakow with huge signs like, we don't want the EMFs in the town. And so I was like, oh, my God, this is like the new GMO movement. This is something where in other parts of the world they're aware and I'm not. So I started reading every book on the topic, as I tend to do when I kind of go crazy in research mode. And I found the topic extremely complicated for myself. And I had a hard time explaining it, to be quite honest, because it's so complex. There are so many different studies and health effects and frequencies and FCC and ERCNIP and so many acronyms that I got lost. So for myself, I started kind of making things simple in a document. And eventually I just built this Google Docs of about 650 pages. And I told my wife, honey, I don't think you'll like me here, but I think I gotta write a new book. And she was like, okay, what is this new thing? Right? So I put together the Non Tinfoil guide tms. And I figured if I had a hard time understanding it as a professional investigative health journalist, it took me two to three years to completely comprehend the topic. I figured, well, the average person on the street doesn't have the time and motivation to understand these things. So I got to make it that simple for them and in an everyday language and even some humor in there. So I tried to distill it down to something where I say, guys, this is not tinfoil. And what happened afterwards is very bizarre to me because I didn't expect this career change to kind of become the EMF guy, and then started educating professionals, health professionals and coaches. And what happened is that a year and a half ago, I started presenting on stage and I started selling my book. And almost everyone who purchased the book ended up being a coach or an osteopath, an acupuncturist, doctors. I got an MD from Harvard who said, oh, Nick, great book. I learned from you. And I'm like, oh, my God. Like these. These people are just catching up on the latest research and I distill it down. So. And then they asked me, nick, we want more information, like who treats these sensitivities when it comes to ems, what are the health effects? So I really had to go all out and find more information. But the clinical side, how to take this information and apply it. And then it led me, this year, 2018, at the beginning of the year, to launch a first iteration of a course for health professionals. So that's. That's kind of the whole story. And now I'm presenting on stages. I'm doing a lot of podcast summits to raise awareness in the public and practitioners alike because the topic is credible, it's underserved, and unfortunately, when you Google around, still on the Internet, you find very contradictory information. And some of it doesn't seem very credible or seems over the top.
Some.
Some of it just says, there's no problem. Right. So which one is it? And it's the. As these things usually tend to go, the answer is somewhere in the middle.
Yeah, great points. And I'll share something with you, and you maybe get a good laugh out of this.
Sure.
I'm coming into this with a beginner's mind. So I had a little EMF sensor, and it tests radio frequencies and a few different other frequencies. And I held it in front of my microwave and I turned my microwave off, obviously, and then I turned it on.
Yeah.
And I had it on the radio frequency settings. So the thing just went crazy. And I walked back almost 30ft from it, and it was still like, you know, firing. So I posted this on Facebook. I didn't say anything about it. I didn't say it was good or bad. I just said, do you still think your microwave is safe? And I'll continue avoiding mine. So this video got like 300,000 views. And you should have seen the outrage from people, you know, just like, you know, the names they were calling me, the things they were saying, it just for some reason, it brought up the worst in people. They were, oh, my God, the fact that I didn't make any conclusions. I just said, do you still think your microwave is safe? I'm going to continue avoiding mine. And all these people, you know, jumped in and they were just, like, infuriated that I was suggesting that their microwave is probably not the greatest thing for them. So, yeah, maybe. Before we jump into your slideshow, I just had that on my mind and I wanted to know what your thoughts are on microwaves. The home.
Sure. Well, a microwave oven is allowed to leak a lot, so technically should be shielded. Right. When you see these little holes punctured in the front screen, that's A Faraday cage, technically. So it should keep the microwave inside, but it leaks. Almost 100% of microwave ovens, because they're built so cheaply, will leak. And how much do they leak is a question. Well, I don't think it would be that worse than, let's say talking on a cell phone, but if you had kids, like watching the food cook, for example, I don't think it's that much of a good thing. However, you use the microwave a few minutes a day. So I would worry way more about like a wifi router or a cell phone compared to a microwave oven, for example.
Okay, great point. So we don't have one. We just moved into a new place and we don't plan on owning one. But I just wanted to. Again, I'm going into this with beginner's mind. So great points. In terms of how long, you know, you spend with the mic in your home. And of course the router is on for, for some people, 24 7.
So exactly.
Thanks for clarifying that. So, yeah, let's get into this presentation and for those of you that are listening and not necessarily, you know, able to watch the slideshow, we're going to be posting this@ Become Proof.com EMF so you'll be able to access this information and watch this slideshow@becheproof.com emf so tune in there and yeah, Nick, let's get started.
All right, let me share my screen a second here. Let me know if you can see it. Fine.
I can see it perfectly. It looks beautiful.
Perfect. So that's my presentation is going to be very applied. So maybe afterwards, if you have questions about certain basics, like this presentation is not about science or too much going into all possible sources of ems. This presentation is focused on how to know which of your patients and clients might be having EMF related symptoms. So it's applied to your practice and what you can do about the issue. And this is really what I wanted to do is go away from the politics, go away from trying to tell you the hundred different studies that have said this and that about ems. I think the this information will be more applied. And after this presentation, my goal is to have you, the next day you come into the office or you see then your next client or patient, you're able to start screening for these things. So that way you'll realize very quickly, like all of the other people that I've taught this three step formula to, that it's a problem for a lot of people and that a lot of symptoms that you thought were caused by something else might be caused or exacerbated by emfs. The story starts when this elderly couple I heard from, they were about in their early 60s, said to their practitioner, we haven't had a good night's sleep in about three years. And the practitioner just couldn't figure out what was wrong when he started digging and taking a Toro EMF questionnaire, as is something that we teach in our course, they realize, well, two years ago there's been an event, something happened in the home. And it's the maybe it was Verizon or AT&T, but the tech guy came in and installed a brand new WI FI router because we had a free upgrade, but mistakenly, the technician didn't know about emfs and he had installed the router under the bed. And this is just to show you how easy it is to have a poor sleep from one source of EMS that you might not suspect, because this happy couple, they didn't realize that it might have been a problem. And it was literally under the pillow. And EMFs, unfortunately, have been shown, for example, to disrupt melatonin production, among other things, and cause stress. So it's definitely not something you would want in the vicinity of your pillow. Just a little bit more about me. Well, you know, I'm Nick Pinault. I'm an investigative health journalist from Montreal, Canada. Hence the accent. Like George St. Pierre a little bit. I'm the bestselling author of the Non Tinfoil Guide to EMS and creator of a new course called Electrosmog Rx that talks about the topic for about 10 to 12 hours of EMF education. And my work on EMFS has been endorsed by Dr. Joseph Mercola on the front cover of my book, Dr. Ben Lynch, Ben Greenfield, Paul Check. And a lot of people in functional medicine, including Sachin Patel now. And I'm honored that you're spreading this message to Sachin.
Absolutely, brother. We need more people knowing this stuff.
Thank you so much. And so today, in the next about 45 to 50 minutes, I'm going to be sharing the three essential steps to know which of your patients are suffering from EMF related symptoms. And I'm going to share these three steps with you. The step number one is the EMF questionnaire. What questions to ask when you first see someone come into your practice. Step number two is EMF mitigation. Removing these sources and reducing the toxic load from EMFs in people, especially in those that you've determined are probably sensitive. And step number three is creating an EMF protocol So it's adding the lifestyle factors, the foods, the supplements that are going to support and undo some of the damage that can happen, some of the stress that can happen in the high EMF environment. So a little bit of a quiz for you. It's going to be for Sachin, this one, because we're recording this. So, Satchin, how much has our exposure to electrosmog increased in the last hundred years? Can you take a guess?
Oh, in the last hundred years, I would say 10,000%.
10,000%. That's a good guess. And a lot of people say 10,000. I've even heard someone say 1 million, kind of scream it in the room when I did a presentation in Vermont. In fact, it's a quintillion times. So a quintillion, for those of you who don't remember the math is 10 to the 18. And that's a graphic from Alasdair Phillips. He's an electrical engineer and EMF advocate from Powerwatch uk. So he built this little graphic. There's a lot of stuff in there, but basically the idea is that the natural background in 1920 was extremely low in these frequencies, especially when we call the microwave range. So for your mobile phone, for example, it will be anywhere from 800 MHz to up to 2.7 GHz. And in the. In these frequencies, basically, we can almost say that they were never seen before. Biobiology, right, because they come from space. There's a bit of microwave in space and a lot of people that don't think the topic is credible will argue, well, we've been exposed to sun radiation, to gamma rays, right, to all of these different signals. And that's true. However, in these frequencies, imagine the frequency is pretty much like the channel on your AM or FM radio. There's a certain channel that is called the microwave frequency that we've not been exposed to to this extent. And now our average exposure, the exposure that I'm getting in this room, even though my computer is not even on WI Fi, just from ambient electrosmog in Montreal, Canada, is about a quintillion times higher. This is a map, and if you're listening to the audio, we're seeing a world map here. And there's a few red dots. All over North America, there's a few. We see Germany, France, Spain, a couple of red dots. And these represent the WI fi hotspots and the cell phone towers back in 2002 and 2003. And back in 2002, 2003, of course, there weren't really people using WI fi. It was probably an extremely expensive thing. And even the cell phone signals weren't that good. And we had the second generation 2G networks at the time. And now I switch the map to what could be described as a mess. So there's red everywhere all around North America, especially high concentration on the east coast, on the west coast, obviously the large cities in Europe, it's all red. It's almost drenched in red and yellows and orange dots. So it's the thickness of the electrosmog. And that was 2016, 2017. So in 15 years alone, the exposure to this new thing that our biology is not accustomed to has been tremendous. So of course the last hundred years has been 10 to the 18th more exposure, but in the last 15 alone it's also been tremendous. Most of the increase has been seen in the last 15 and we can argue unfortunately that most of the increase is yet to come because something called 5G. Go ahead, Satchin.
I was going to say the majority of the world like 3.2 billion people don't even have cell phones yet.
Correct.
That number is only going to get ramped up more and more. And, and I know some of you are listening to the audio, it literally looked like, you know, it was like those Verizon maps from back in the day. Right. So, and now when you look at the coverage like the whole country is covered. But I noticed something interesting, Nick was. And that was that Mexico didn't have a lot of coverage. So is there a particular reason for that that, that you found?
Good question. I don't know if that. So that, that's a map from wiggle.net so I don't know know if they have data from Mexico or something like that, but I don't know if they have good cell service. I'm wondering or it's, it's an extremely large country and maybe they don't have good service in the countryside. That's a good question. I don't know the situation in Mexico and I don't know if they have strict regulations at all. I don't think the country is that, is that well wired considering how large it is. But yeah, now I'm curious about it.
Cool.
5G will thicken the electrosmog. So what's coming up is more signals you might have heard about 5G. The image you're seeing on the right is basically a 5G install which is about, it could be 12ft from someone's bedroom if they had a multi story house. So it's installed every Couple of homes. What's great about 5G on a technical standpoint is that while it's 10 to 1,000 times faster than what we have at the moment, which is 4G, 4 generation, so this is a brand new type of signal and the speed is. Well, it's exciting to users who want to stream videos, who want to download things lightning fast. But it uses a new type of millimeter wave range, so that's from 3 to 60 gigahertz. So we kind of open up the, the EMF spectrum to more EMFs that have literally never been used before except by the military and some airport radar and certain technologies that were reserved to people working in the police or fire stations. For example, one antenna every three to 12 homes in residential areas and basically on every traffic light sign in downtown areas. This is what's coming to New York City, what's being installed downtown. Austin, Texas and a couple of cities where they're running tests right now. It's been officially activated, I think in two US cities right now. But it's just the beginning because it's just the different providers are really excited about that. But it's kind of a slow sell to the public because some people are concerned about this. And something to note is that this is added on top of the 3G 4, 4G and LTE network. So it means that they will not dismantle the old cellular service. Right? Not right off the bat. So for a moment in time, for probably 10 years, we're going to have 3G that slowly will be shut down. We're going to have 4G LTE, we're going to have the WI fi and everything else, plus 5G everywhere. So it's on top of. Because they don't want people with a 4G phone, older phones going to lose the ability to use their old phone. So they're going to roll out the technology slowly and it's going to thicken.
The smog, so to speak. So Nick, if I could, if I could just add to that or ask a question, how can they afford that? Like if you're putting something like this every three to 12 homes, I mean, the infrastructure costs must be gigantic.
It is, it is extremely, extremely costly. However, what they are seeing is really. Well, they have a lot of money. How can I put this? The telecoms, the last figure as I heard, is that globally the telecoms represent five times big pharma on a worldwide standpoint. So they have more financing than any other industry on the planet, including petrochemical, including, I think it Might just be the richest industry on the planet. So there's a huge return on investment also because of the integration with so many other technologies and the fact that the motor industry. So the cars will be automated via 5G, so they will likely. Verizon and people who create antennas will likely partner with GM and Chevrolet, all these companies to sell them technology. So there's, in the end, there's so many people with so many devices and they're able to sell, to sell you a service for your TV and for your Internet and for your mobile phone and new machines that they're still. It's a well calculated move, I'll give you that. And the return on investment will be tremendous. It's a multi trillion dollar opportunity to get 5G going, according to them.
I mean, I have a, I guess I have a 4G phone because that's the latest and greatest right now. I mean, how much faster do phones need to get? Like my phone's pretty darn fast and I can pretty much do everything I need off of it. I mean, is there a consumer demand? Are people complaining that their Internet's too.
Slow on their phone or it's not consumer driven? This 5G, that's what, that's what's very interesting. It's pretty much shoved into people's mouth. And right now they've done a survey and most people in the United States, the vast majority, have no interest or no idea that 5G is coming. So it's like once it's going to be there, maybe they're going to be, well, okay, I'm excited that I can download a 4K movie in a minute. But there's not that much consumer demand for faster speed because the speed is tremendous at the moment. Let's face it, right? You don't wait around that much with a 4G phone. Even streaming HD YouTube, I mean you can do anything on that phone. And now the data plans are so cheap, so it's really more. The industry is imposing that a little bit on the users and they're also future proofing for technology. So if we want multiple sensors everywhere and have these smart cities and connected cars, well, you do need more data for these usage. So not necessarily just your cell phone is going to be so many things connected with each other.
Okay. And how do we make them less ugly because they're such an eyesore and I can't imagine that this is the future. Right? Like, are they just going to get uglier over time? Because they seem very intrusive as well. Any Thoughts on that?
Well, unfortunately, I don't have a good solution. This is the example that you're seeing on the screen. On the right is like a. Pretty much a fridge, a large fridge, and it's a transformer. Not all installs of 5G are like that. Some of them are like one antenna, but they're still bulky, to be quite honest. And eventually they will get smaller. But that's one concern as well. It's being just flooded with these antennas installed everywhere. And we try to maintain like a clean city. And also there's proximity to people walking down the street or who live there. So there's. There are at the moment multiple backlashes that the industry is getting just because the idea doesn't seem that much like a good idea for people. It seems like a good business idea for them mainly.
Have you seen the movie the Kingsman?
Yes, for sure.
What were your thoughts on that? I mean, spoiler alert here if you haven't watched the movie. But in the movie they use, you know, they basically weaponize cell phone technology and they get people turning on each other. And every time I see this stuff and these advances, like, that's the first thing that comes to mind. And I know, like, you know, Hollywood tends to depict the future. So do you see the capability of weaponizing this technology against people?
There's, let's say I don't research that much this aspect because it's a little bit too far the rabbit hole even for me. Some people, I've heard some activists say that if someone will want to use these 5G antennas because they're going to be more directional. So in other words, they're going to follow your cell phone around a little bit more compared to just blasting in a 120 degree angle like most cell phone towers do. So they say that technically they could kind of make you run away because of the pain it could cause because they could target someone with it. And if I were the military, who knows, maybe they're going to be able to use these antennas to, I don't know, there's a burglar and then you point 5G. It's not like the guy is going to burn. But 5G uses millimeter wave and the same millimeter waves are used by the military, by the US Military to cause for crowd control. So there is a weapon that has been invented. What it does essentially is burning feeling on the skin. It doesn't burn you, but your skin kind of gets very irritated and you feel like running away. So who knows? I mean, Kingsman I was frightened by that. I love the movie. But of course, being that deep in the topic, I'm like, oh my God, this is bad.
All right, well, thank you for answering that.
No worries. And just to scare you a little bit more, this is a map that is from San Jose and this is what they plan. Basically they want coverage of 5G everywhere. And one engineer lately said, okay, well, I'm gonna look at basically 2100 new antennas and how much coverage is gonna bring to the city of San Jose. And it turns out that it's only a fraction. As you can see, there's a couple of spots of color. So in other words, maybe we're gonna need 20,000, 30,000, 50,000, 100,000 new antennas just to cover San Jose. So it's just to show you the volume of new antennas and the fact that if proximity is a problem and if really we find health effects from these things, it's going to be a massive issue inside cities. So that's just a big issue that might come. Now, I want to show you the top symptoms of EMF extension exposure. And that's really controversial. Some people listening to this will say, okay, well, how do we know it's causing symptoms? Some people from the industry might say it's impossible that we're causing symptoms because there's no such thing as damage from these non ionizing EMFs. But actually these come from different people, including the official Austrian Medical association, if you can believe it, who is the only country in the world that has a document to treat EMF related illness. And that's their official governmental guidelines. So these guys are scientists, they're analyzing the same science. And another great association is the European Environmental Association. European that has a 2016 guideline. And the committee of this organization on environmental medicine is basically 12 PhD scientists. So it's not something they invented, it's something that's seen in several individuals. And I'll share the statistics with you. So the top 10 symptoms that are also symptoms that you probably see on everyday life in other people, in yourself, and also in your patients or clients. So fatigue, weakness, sleep disturbance, headaches or migraines, brain fog, depression or anxiety. It's a real epidemic, especially in teenagers these days. Memory loss, visual disruptions or light sensitivity, skin problems, heart palpitations and dizziness. So a lot of neurological issues overall that we see. So the brain is definitely affected and the heart is also. So who is affected among your people? Well, Dr. Magda Havis, that's from Trent University, in your neck of the woods. In Toronto says 35% of the population may have mild to moderate symptoms of electrosensitivity when exposed to electrosmog. And that's in her 2014 paper. And what she said is this. People in this group, the 35% affected, can function just fine in an electrosmog environment, but may develop headaches or have difficulty sleeping and are basically living a life compromised by increasingly poor health as a consequence of their exposure. So what I could describe as an individual who is affected by electrosmog, it's easy to miss it. You might just feel the stress from the city, you might feel the stress from the bad air or from people on the subway. Kind of everyone looks depressed when I'm in Montreal on the subway. And it's like, well, is it their job? Is it the EMFs, is it their family situation? It's probably all of them, right? But it's a big contributor. It's a stressor and it makes people not feel great and healthy, especially in highly densely populated areas. So the remaining 65% of your patients and all of us were also affected on a cellular and mitochondrial levels, whether, regardless of the fact that we feel it or not. And that's demonstrated by the work of Dr. Martin Paul. And you can see the graphing on the right. So Dr. Martin Paul, in 2013 he published a really groundbreaking paper who really connected the dots, discovering exactly how these EMFs affect our cells. It turns out it doesn't affect the cell directly because the argument used by the industry is, well, this is non ionizing radiation, right? So ionizing radiation is X rays, gamma rays, nuclear radiation, Chernobyl level events, or when you're in space, or even when you fly in an airplane, you get a lot of gamma rays. So we know that these things can break the covalent bond between molecules and can directly break DNA. And that's why we limit our exposure to X rays and to gamma rays and to these. Even though in certain medical settings we might use a little bit of X rays to see what's happening. Right. MRI also. So we can use it, but we use it just when the benefits outweigh the risks. However, DZMs, microwave radiation, for example, from your cell phone doesn't have the power to break your DNA. So how is it possible that there's effects? Well, it impacts something called the VGC and that the voltage gated calcium channels. So on a cell you have multiple ion channels and one type of calcium channel is called the L type calcium channel, responds to minute amount of microwave radiation. And what happens is that the doors of these calcium channels, the voltage sensors, they're called, they get stuck open. And what happens afterwards, the downstream consequences of that is really where the damage happens. So too much calcium flows into the cell and it basically activates two different enzymes that are calcium activated. So these start being activated like crazy, which increases nitric oxide levels into the cell. And normally nitric oxide can have great benefits. We hear about the benefits of nitric oxide when you eat a lot of beets or maybe when you exercise, for example. So there is benefits of nitric oxide, but intracellular nitric oxide to these levels causes a lot of problem. And one of them is the creation of reactive oxygen species, reactive nitrogen species, and then the downstream effects of that. So without going too geeky, it's a cellular stress and it causes DNA damage, but the downstream consequences, the indirect effect and not the direct effect. So this is why most scientists, people from the industry, and virtually every physicist that you'll talk to will say, well, that's impossible. That it's happening. Well, doesn't impact the cell and the DNA directly. It impacts, let's say, electrical components inside your cells, which is only logical in the end. But this can happen at minute levels of EMFs.
It kind of reminds me of kind of the GMO science and mentality that people have, like, oh, GMOs are safe and proven to be safe, let's say. But it's what you spray on the GMOs, they're the actual problem.
Right? That's the same thing. Well, it's a distraction. So even the studies have been showing effects for decades, but people often argue that, are a little bit skeptical about that there's no mechanism. They would say that, but we don't need a mechanism to demonstrate harm. That this is not how science works. Somehow people started thinking this is how science work. I don't know where we fail at that. But we don't necessarily need a mechanism. We need an observation, and we need a correlation. And then eventually find, okay, is it causative? Right? Or is it a factor? Or is it just merely when you, when you even looking at epidemiology on cell phone, on cell phones and brain cancer, there's. There's hints that is doing something, so we should be careful about that. And now we are finding the cellular and mitochondrial explanations that can then go into the biophysics and biochemistry. But we don't need that to act with precaution. And that's, I think, the entire point of my work. Let me see if I can skip this Slide. Hold on. Just looks like it's frozen. My end. Okay, I'm back. Hold on. Sorry about that. It's just freezing at the moment.
So as you're looking for that and getting that set up, one of the things, you know, that I did want to bring to people's attention is that, you know, the science is pointing in the direction that this is something that we want to be extremely mindful of and that. But the science isn't settled, right? And science is never settled. So the more we're learning, the more we're discovering. We're starting to find out that a lot of our hunches are kind of right. So there's, you know, a lot of countries, for example, like France that are banning WI FI in daycares, right? So countries, precautionary measures. In fact, even if you look in your cell phone, if you go into the legal section of your cell phone, there's actually warnings in your cell phone that protect the cell phone manufacturers from any damages that their products might actually cause to you or your family members or your health. So they're doing their due diligence to protect themselves. And I'm hoping that what we're sharing with you today is going to help encourage you to do some due diligence and protect your families, protect your patients. Because at the end of the day, we all want what's best for each other, not just what's best for ourselves. And if you're a clinician, your patients are going to significantly be impacted by this and only 35% of them, so a third of them are going to be outwardly sensitive. Two thirds of them may not be outwardly sensitive, but they're still being impacted. So symptoms are not always a sign that something is going on. You could be asymptomatic and that's, you know, some people are canaries in the coal mine and they're actually lucky because, you know, in a way, because they can identify when something is noxious to them. People who are not sensitive to this, you know, will just be exposed to it and experience the cellular changes that are taking place and never even know that it's contributing to, you know, poor long term health.
Definitely. And this is the long term. The long term is even more, let's say, a question mark for me and for scientists because this is brand new, as you put it. Our children, my little Elliot is sick, almost 6 months old next week. And who knows what it's gonna do to this generation of children who now have WI Fi. So that's Definitely a concern to me as a new dad.
For sure. Yeah. It'd be nice if it was actually good for us, right?
For sure. Well, that's a discussion for another time, but that's actually something I'm looking into. I want good news, but the good news ahead in this presentation is that as a health practitioner, there's something you can do about it. And the first thing that you need to do is to start adding EMS to your questionnaires, to your patient forms, to your process. When you see someone, you ask them about their diet and their supplements and their stress levels. Did you have trauma events in your life? Well, you also want to ask them about emf. So let me go through a couple questions that you want to ask them to screen for a couple of very common problems. The first one is cell phone. Obviously. Do you use a cell phone? The answer will likely be yes. How do you use it? So do you use it on the ear? Is it the right side? Is it the left side? And that way maybe if the person has a migraine on the right and cell phone uses on the right, maybe there's a correlation and then you can test things out. So it's really a detective work when it comes to these EMs because there's so many sources. But the more you screen for these sources, the more you can put two and two together and see if there are symptoms that might correspond to where the cell phone is either used or where it's worn. For example, is it in the bra? And the patient might have breast pain? Who knows? Sometimes it's as simple as that. Or I've heard reports of certain people having heart arrhythmias or uneasiness in the heart area, and they keep their cell phone in the shirt pocket. So these people are among the sensitives, but they don't realize it. And they might be put on statins, or you might, as a functional doc or practitioner, you might put them on something else for the heart. But is it that they need a supplement, or is it that it turns out there's an acute stress from one source? The WiFi router is especially important also because this is a hot potato in the home or at work. So where is your WI fi router located? At home or at work? So if the wifi router is under the bed, well, right there, you might have a link with poor sleep or poor response to anything you throw at them, because maybe their deep sleep is out of the window, so they won't get the right detox at night. They won't get the right. Even if you try to have them do more exercise, maybe you don't see them recuperating that much or it just seems like they're more fatigued than they should. Maybe the sleep isn't of good quality because of the proximity of the WiFi router. And generally 10ft or more from the WI fi router to the pillow is recommended, if not more. If it's in another room altogether, it's better. And then if the wifi router at work, something I see also in a lot of practitioners that report to me these patient cases is wifi router right either under the desk or on the desk. So while they work all day on WI fi, the router is there. And that's. You gotta understand that the closer you are to the source, the more exponentially higher that the exposure gets. So you gotta distance yourself. And some people don't realize it. They kind of put the wifi router right next to the hard drive and the screen and their cell phone and everything is in front of them. So just moving that away might alleviate symptoms in some of them. Do you turn it off at night? So if it's not turned off at night, then you have right there an opportunity for education and help them turn it off at night, for example, by telling them to purchase a very cheap Christmas light timer, about $10 on Amazon. You set it and forget it. And then everyone in the household gets a better night of sleep. Usually ambient electrosmog. Something you can ask them. That's very easy. How many different WI FI networks can you detect around your home? Well, well, it's easy if they're in Toronto or Montreal in very densely populated area, it will be between 30 and 50. To be honest, sometimes you can't even tell because you could scroll on and on. So this just tells you a vague idea of, okay, well, they're in a high EMF environment. So in these cities you will see more cases of people being more sensitive because they're more exposed. If they're in the countryside, or even I saw in a neighborhood where the houses are very distance, you see two or three WI FI routers. Well, it means the WI fi router that's the most dangerous is the one inside the home. It's not necessarily the neighbor. So if they live in an apartment or a condo, it's a different situation also to assess compared to living in the home where you control all the exposures. In a condo, you might have the neighbor that decides, well, I'm going to put my Wife or router right on the other side of the wall where you have your bedroom. And that's something to consider. Where is the WI FI router of your neighbors? So let's hope that your neighbors are on good terms and you can convince them to put their WI FI routers on a timer too. If you feel sensitive. Antennasearch.com gives you a good idea of what antennas are within the U.S. unfortunately, it's not for Canada. But basically, if you have towers within 500 meters, about a third of a mile, it's something to consider. Especially if the WI fi, not the WI FI network, sorry, the cell towers are within line of sight. So especially if they're on a high rise and they can see the tower and it looks like it's pointing at them, then you gotta go further and maybe consider talking to a building biologist. And I'll show you how to do that in a second. On the right you see a digital smart meter, and right next to it you see an electromechanical and analog meter with the five little quadrants spinning. So that's something you want to ask also. But first let me address the car. Do you own a hybrid or electric car or is your car equipped with a 4G LTE hotspot? That's a new option that a lot of American cars get. When I rent a car to go see my family in Sherbrooke, I try not to rent anything aside like Nissan or Kia because the GM cars always have these hotspots. So it's basically having the WI FI router right in your face while you drive. And it usually cannot be turned off. So if someone, if a patient, you feel like they have these EMF symptoms, well, the car can be a problem, especially if they drive a lot, right? Two hours in the traffic, in the morning, two hours back. Or even occupational exposure where my dad is a realtor and maybe he's in the car all day, every day, 40 hours a week. So in that case, look where the person is spending most of their time. And what exposure might they be getting there? When it comes to hybrid and electric cars, the most sensitive people might feel them and might feel uneasy. Especially certain cars that have the battery packs under the seats instead of back in the trunk. But again, this is something to be assessed one on one. It's just that asking these questions at least you'll maybe realize that since the purchase of a new car, they feel their symptoms going bad or they feel fatigue since this time. So history of these exposures, just like history of food or of trauma or different events in their life is extremely important when it comes to the smart meter. I put it in quote, because it's really not that smart. Because sometimes and a lot of times it's installed right the other side of people's bedroom. And asking a simple question, did your utility company install a new smart meter? Are you aware of that? And sometimes they haven't realized and they will have to literally check at home and take a picture. And do you know when this happened? Because a lot of people have reported feeling symptoms since the install of a smart meter, especially those who got it installed right the other side of the bedroom on the outside wall. And it pulses every couple seconds. So if they still have the analog meter, they should see the little five mechanical spinning quadrants. I want to share with you a little case study that we got from a practitioner in Georgia called Nancy, and that's the case study of Linda. And Linda came with asymptomatic, basically hadn't felt well in the last 2.5 years. And that's usually a breaking point for a lot of people. I feel old, I don't feel good, and I feel like maybe I have chronic fatigue. And they start kind of self diagnosing with Dr. Google and they just don't get better. And one episode 2.5 years ago had left her with a shooting pain in the head and body and body numbness, which also left her with dry and blurry eyes. So it was a very bizarre episode at work. And since that day, she didn't feel the same. So that was just something very special about her initial symptomology. Aside from that, she had so many different things going on. So feeling weak muscle pain throughout the body, shooting pain in her kidneys. So that was very concerning. Leaky gut, low adrenals, poor tolerance to almost any food. Sometimes she had heart palpitations, extreme sensitivity to supplements and drugs. In certain situations, extreme fatigue and brain fog. So it's not going very well for Linda. And it looks like she might have everything all at once. But when a lot of different doctors that she saw, she saw the conventional docs from one of the best hospitals in the country and they said, well, your blood work, your Holter monitor and the CT scans are mildly abnormal. So you don't really have something. So in the end, the eye doctor referred to the cardiologist who referred to another different doctor until she was referred to a psychiatrist who said, you're fine, there's nothing wrong with you. So she was still suffering at that point when she Saw Nancy, and like I said, she basically ran out of insurance after nine times seeing the top doctors in the state, couldn't get better. What happened is that Nancy, the practitioner, learned from our course what questions to ask when it comes to ems. So she got curious. She figured, well, if everyone has been seeing Linda and Linda is not getting better, it might be because she's doing something wrong or it might be because we haven't identified what's ailing her. So basically, after asking a couple of questions, she asked Linda, well, what have you been doing for all these years? And she said, well, I've been installing computer systems. So right there, proximity to computers as an occupational hazard. Well, maybe all these computers were on WI fi. Who knows, right? Working in office, being in the IT department, that's a risk factor for EMF sensitivity because you're more exposed to the average layperson. And also something that happened. She asked a question about electric cars. Turns out that her and Linda and her husband had purchased an electric car not so long ago. And when they tested, because Linda was starting to say, well, maybe I'm sensitive to these things, because she put two and two together, and with the help of Nancy, she took an EMF meter and she. When she looked at the car, at her car, the levels were off the charts, abnormally. So she had to put the car into repair and the levels dropped off. So it showed her that the very high levels of EMS in her car compared to her husband's might have been a problem for her and really made her feel even worse since that time. So what happened afterwards, after Linda kind of went down this rabbit hole of learning? Well, I might be sensitive, so I'm going to start using my. My WI FI router differently. I'm going to turn it off at night. And she ended up doing a lot of Things to remove EMFs with the help of Nancy, who was EMF aware as a practitioner. Well, Nancy didn't hear back from Linda, basically, for months. And recently Nancy told me this case study because she said, well, Linda bumped into me and she said this. You found the missing piece. Nobody even considered. And I will forever be grateful. I am very sensitive to EMS and need to reduce my exposure where I can control it. Thank you for opening my world to the effects of EMFs. And when I read the whole story, because Nancy sent me an email with that case study, I cried in a coffee shop. It was hard to kind of hide myself at that point, but it was a very emotional story for me because I figured, oh, my God, this is so important. I'm not in my work. I'm not arguing that emfs is the root cause of all evils, but it is a factor we cannot ignore just because you might be seeing the next Linda and not necessarily realizing it. And it turns out that it's not that all of her ailments were created by EMS, but at one point, 2.5 years ago, she had an event and an exposure which basically caused her to become symptomatic. And by reducing these EMFs, she felt tremendously better. And this is since then she has the respect for these exposures and she will reduce in the future her exposures. Just like someone who finds out they are celiac, well, they have a respect for what is gluten and where is it, and how can I avoid it in order to feel better with what is compatible to my body. Step number two of the three steps to identify which patients or clients might be EMF sensitive and what to do about it is EMF mitigation. So this is really where, as a health practitioner, as a coach, you can help your patients and clients remove these sources and use technology differently. Not necessarily throw their iPhones in the trash, far from it. But for the most sensitive patients, you have to take more steps, and for the non sensitives, you have to take at least the basic steps, which I'll outline in this presentation. I don't have time to go into very advanced steps. It could literally take hours. The basic rules of EMF mitigation is something that's extremely important. The order of operation to follow is that first you want to eliminate the source. For example, removing WI fi altogether would be a good thing to consider. If someone even comes to you and says, I think I'm sensitive, even if they suspect sensitivity, removing WI fi altogether and for example, working on a wired computer, as I'm doing right now, as Sachin is doing right now, it might be tremendous for their health. So eliminating the source is better than reducing use. Right. So first try to eliminate the offending source of EMS if you cannot eliminate it. So, for example, I cannot eliminate my cell phone altogether from my life because I'm an entrepreneur, I travel. So sometimes I need to call an Uber, and I will not go and find a wired computer to call an Uber. So it's. So I trade distance, so that's the first thing. Then decrease time of use. In the last week, I used my phone, or that's what Apple told me, total screen time, 30 minutes or something like that in a week. So I was pretty proud. Well, if you do total screen time of 30 minutes compared to three hours a day. It makes a big difference. And then you can also reduce power output in certain situations. You're able to reduce the power output of a WiFi router, for example. So it might be an option to, let's say, have something that is a little bit less harsh for biology. And after you've considered everything above, then you think about shielding, about using a shield, about shielding the bedroom, about protecting yourself from these EMFs one way or another, because you want to try to eliminate the source or reduce use first or else everyone jumps on shielding and they say, okay, well, I'm going to live in a Faraday cage. And a lot of people kind of use the wrong order of operations here. Some rules that are really the basics that I think every practitioner should know and should try to tell their patients or clients, whether they are high level athletes looking for an edge or people that have a moderate degree of dysfunction. Pretty good health. So this is the basics. So of course, one foot from the body, from cell phones, tablets and laptops. If you create a separation of one foot from the body talking on a cell phone with speaker mode or wired earbuds, well, you remove 80% of the radiation. So that's tremendous. And this is super important for people who already feel like they have brain effects. Well, you don't want something that is disruptive to brain health to be near their brain. So if they talk on speaker mode, they might not have a problem at all. And the risks that are seen in science when it comes to cell phone use and brain cancer. Well, it's not brain cancer from holding cell phone one or two feet from your body. It's from literally being in love and gluing that thing to your, to your head. Right. Because of the proximity. Proximity makes all the difference then airplane mode when you carry it around, very important, especially because of the fact that it's so disruptive to sperm count in men and also disruptive to overall health. And there's been reports that are very concerning. John west in I think it was 2013, reported from California that several patients have been seen with very weird types of unusual breast tumors. Right. When a few women carried their cell phones. So it's also a concern of what is it doing if you don't glue it to your temple instead you glue it to your front pocket or to your bra. Right. It's probably not better. Consider using a case like a safe sleeve or defender shield. I know this is one of the questions that came from the community Section. This is a safe sleeve. It's better than nothing, but it's still not something I would use next to the head. At least it kind of deflects radiation away when you carry it in a pocket. For example, if you're an entrepreneur, busy dad, busy mom, and you kind of need to be on call, you have children that might be calling you, you will not put it on airplane mode. And I understand these things. It's part of your lifestyle. But still keep it in the case it's a good idea. So two of the brands that I know are legit is these two. And avoid using next to gut. I think it's especially important for people who have gut issues or you suspect they have leaky gut. Consider that there's a link that becomes stronger and stronger in science where the cell phone can cause the blood brain barrier to leak when used next to the head and possibly the gut barrier to leak. So creating leaky gut from your cell phone, if you text right next to your belly button, it might be something that's going to be proven in the future. So just to be on the safe side, if you see these issues and they have bad digestion already, we know it causes stress. Try to explain to them what it's doing and the fact that it might backfire on the various supplements and different things that you're putting them on. EMF hygiene.
Sure. A funny comment. I noticed that a lot of people, their laptops are crotch tops, right. So they're thinking, like, right in their crotch. And my mom, for years, actually, this is long before this was even a hot topic. My mom would be like, she never put your laptop in your, in your lap. Right. Because it's, it's not good for you. So, like, my mom intuitively knew that these things.
Yeah.
Were not good for us. And I don't think, like, here's the thing that the argument that people have is that it's safe. Like, what does that really mean? Like, it's, it's not good for you. So I would never say, like, hey, your sperm counts low. Put a cell phone, you know, down your pants. Right. Or hey, why don't you put your laptop on your crotch? That'll increase your sperm count. Like, that's obviously not going to happen or very unlikely to happen. So it's unlikely that it's neutral. So the only possibility left is that it's probably not good for you. Right. And experiencing these symptoms if you're spending all this money, you know, seeing a functional medicine practitioner or, you know, somebody for Your GI issues. I mean, this is like really simple stuff, like very simple changes that you could make and you know, try it out for a week or two and just see if it helps or not. And sometimes we need like a clear cut break from these things in order for us to see a benefit. You know, like if you go on vacation and you're not using your cell phone as much and you feel terrible when you come back, well, you know, yeah, it might be your job, but it could also be all the electrosmog and it could be your cell phone use and it could be some of these things that you're taking for granted. So this is an invisible force. And the fact that it's invisible doesn't necessarily mean that it's, it's not doing anything. The most powerful forces and sometimes the most destructive forces are actually invisible. So thanks for sharing this. This is, this is awesome. I'm taking lots of copious notes as you're saying all this stuff.
Sure, sure, my pleasure. And one good test, actually, I'm coming here. EMF Hygiene in the home. One good test that you can do if you don't know if you're personally sensitive. And that's something I recommended. I was renting a car at the Budget and I told that to the clerk. She was interested. She said, okay, what do you do in life? I'm like, okay, there we go. We're going to talk about EMS for 30 minutes. So I told her, okay, well I just have five minutes, I got to go. Just put your phone in airplane mode and do not charge it at night. And unplug everything from the walls and remove everything that could be EMF from the bedroom for three nights in a row and see what happens. So I come back two weeks later and she told me, well, you know what? I think your advice worked. My husband, he has not woken up in the middle of the night for the first time in like 13 years. And I'm like, oh my God. And I mean, it's not like his husband or her husband felt sensitive. So is it sensitivity or is it that most. Some people will realize that much of a drastic change in three nights. That's how powerful it can be. And as a practitioner, if you see someone who's a little bit like, especially, unfortunately, men tend to be a little bit like repelling of these ideas. Women usually are a little bit more open minded and don't want to be sexist. But it's just what I hear from practitioners, unfortunately. But if you want to come convince the hubby well, just try this experiment, because I found once the husband or the person in the household who doesn't believe in these things feels it. They're like, wait a minute, if it's affecting my sleep, what else is it affecting? So that's a powerful test. And this is you can see the different things you can do in the bedroom, but overall, it's removing these sources of signals. And also, when you unplug everything from the walls, it might seem extreme, but just being right next to an alarm clock that's plugged into a wall can also be disruptive to certain people, especially if it's very, very close to your pillow and depends on the configuration of your bedroom. Again, turning off the circuit breaker, even better. This is what I do at home. I do that in my child's room also because, well, happy parents when baby is sleeping, right? So that's an easy equation for every new parent. So I figure I might not take chances and just kill the electricity in his room. That way his environment will resemble a little bit more a camping environment, and chances are that it will not do any harm. Well, except now we need the heat at night. But I'm gonna figure out something. But still, just taking precautions, killing the circuit breaker if it makes you feel better. Again, this is something I recommend to some people, and they say, wow, I sleep more soundly. Well, why not do it? And you save the electricity all night, so power to that. And another thing you can do at home is, of course, take care of that WI fi router. But the best choice is to go wired. But as I said, placement is critical. You want to be at least 10ft away from living spaces, especially the bedroom, and turning off at night when not in use. This is a bit more advanced. This is Dr. Klinghardt's intermediate EMF mitigation protocol to support patients with chronic conditions. So this is if you see people who are already sensitive to everything, they don't respond to drugs, they don't even respond to most protocols or most supplements. And they've seen 25 other practitioners, and you're someone who sees these very chronically ill patients. Well, Dr. Dietrich Klinghardt from the Sophia Health Institute in Washington State is really someone who has been seeing the sickest patients on the planet with the hardest conditions to figure out. And he has seen the best results using the following things. What he does is, has led to great success ameliorating symptomology of ALS, autistic syndrome, Ms. fibromyalgia, Alzheimer's, Parkinson's, Lyme, etcetera You name it. Also, he's seeing very hard cases, stage 4 cancers, among other things. And he's seeing great success. Most of these people respond way better to other parts of his protocols, including supplements and other body work that he's doing. So use for these very sick people. It makes sense to have a cleaner diet, so to speak, when it comes to emf. So use Ethernet cables and not WI Fi. He doesn't recommend WI fi for anyone who is already so compromised. On an immune standpoint and neurological standpoint. You can silence the WI fi using a shielding pouch. And one reason he's doing that is that some WI fi routers are very hard to turn off. Sometimes the company will say, well, we turned off the WI Fi. But in his experience, and that's true also in building biologists experience, the professionals who do home surveys, they realize it's still on. And you can only realize that if you have an EMF meter. But most people don't. So it's kind of a tricky thing to think that your patient is not exposed to WI fi. It turns out the WI fi is still on, so that's problematic. So it uses a type of shielding pouch that he put around, turn off all circuit breakers at night unless on life support. And that's what he told me in an interview for the course. He's like, no, Nick, the only situation where you have an electricity in the home at night is when you're on life support. And of course, this applies to his patients that are already compromised, and some of them are on a life or death situation. Ground at night. So using grounding pads or grounding sheets. This is something he recommends a lot. And clean up the house for any smart appliances. Electronics obviously only use cell phone for texting and using something called an air tube headset. So that's the type of headset where the electricity stops here, where the wires cross. And then what goes to your head are simply hollow tubes where the sound communicates. So people do not have any type of electricity going up their head. And for people who are electrosensitive, that might be an important step to take using dirty electricity filters during the day. What he likes is called the Stetser filters. This helps especially people with Alzheimer's, according to. No, sorry, with Parkinson's, because of their propensity to have an extremely easily triggered nervous system. With the shaking and the entire neurological dysfunction, he sees tremendous benefits putting them on. And he sees people, their shaking kind of calms down instantly in certain situations. Using shielded clothing, he recommends a few Things among them shielded boxers or T shirts and also trousers if possible. These are advanced steps, but EC has great results in, for example, children on the spectrum who are using these if they are exposed to high EMF environments.
Are there any legitimate brands for the shielding clothing? Like I actually have Reparo underwear. I don't know if you've ever heard of that, but it was originally made by a fellow Canadian.
I've heard about it a little bit. I don't have a pair. I have Spartan and another one I have is called Faradays. When it comes to the boxers, they're legit. If you look at the. You want to be looking at the testing results and you want to see that it's blocking. The most frequently found frequencies would be, let's say blocking at least 1 GHz to 5 GHz, because this is the WI fi range that goes up to 5 GHz. But overall, the website Lessemf.com is really the place to go. Every product on there has been really put by hand by the owner, Emil de Toefl. And he's really a great guy in the EMS space and everything that he sells he ships worldwide, if I'm not mistaken. So that's a great website to visit if you're looking for these things. And of course these are advanced apps, but I want to show you even that's intermediate. I call it fairly advanced, but it can go very deep. If you see this function, well, it's hard to go back to the NOEMF environment. Remember the maps and the 10 to the 18th exposure. It means that to go back to natural levels, you do have to apply these kind of weird or advanced steps and costly steps in certain situations. If people feel extremely sensitive, sometimes the situation is such that they cannot live in Montreal. They might have to go to the countryside, literally organize a move. Just like someone who is extremely allergic to mold. Over time, maybe they have to change house. Right. So consider that it might also be a possibility that their environment is simply not permitting them to heal. In the case of advanced mitigation, who should you hire? Well, there's two types of practitioners in North America and worldwide. Also if you go on these websites, you can find practitioners in Europe and Asia building biologists that we have a lot of them in North America, but still we should need 10,000 more, maybe 100,000 in North America to suffice to the demand. And there's Geovital consultants, so both of these are great. Geovital has a great approach that I appreciate a Lot and it comes from it has been invented by an Austrian clinic who does functional medicine and they've been doing it for decades now. And they have great meters who measure the body load of EMS versus measuring the air. So anyway, it's a distinction that I appreciate. Both of these professionals can help people by surveying their home and then identifying the cell phone tower that you see. Is it really a problem, right? Or is that smart meter really a problem? Because they have professional grade equipment. So that's important. If you suspect that the person is sensitive and they have the budget for it, about $1,000 should do it USD. Sometimes it's less, sometimes it can be more for large homes, but about $1,000, it's an investment, but at least you will have the ease of mind. So for your clients that are on the higher end and they have more salary and they want to invest in their health, I would argue, and obviously I'm biased towards EMS, but I would argue that $1000 of supplements is not equal to $1000 of having a professional at least do one assessment of your home and figure out is there an issue that you're missing that's very powerful. And as a practitioner, I know that a lot of doctors, including Dr. Ben lynch for example, who shared a lot on the topic in the last months on his Facebook page, has gone to a lot of extents to get a building biologist come in his home because he understands now the problem better and he's better equipped now to answer these EMF questions when he gets them. The step number three is the EMF protocol. So it's putting it all together. So let me give you a few order of operations here so you understand the context of the how this all fits together. So the first thing to do as a practitioner is to assess the current EMF exposure of your patients or client. Then the known or suspected level of sensitivity, some of them will say, well, I do feel tingling in my hands when I hold a cell phone. And then you're like, okay, well listen to these hints that maybe if they are sensitive to that, just find out where is the wifi router and just try to eliminate these, these possibilities. The current state of health. So of course the less healthy people need more steps and the more healthy people generally can get away with more when it comes to diet, when it comes to stress levels, but also when it comes to EMS and the current EMF related symptoms. So taking a history, looking at these top 10 EMF symptoms that I shared, among other things, and looking okay, how many of them can you find in your patients. Second, have a patient and client follow the right level of EMF mitigation. EMF hygiene is sufficient for most people, but if you find those 35% of people that are sensitive, well, you might want to say, well, try to have a wired connection instead of wi fi. So try to go further than just EMF hygiene and worst case scenario, or best case scenario, if you have the money for it, referral to a building biologist or geovital consultant is great. And some building biologists might be able to assess mold and air quality as well. So that's something important to note where maybe you can hit multiple birds with one stone here and just assess the overall toxicity on their environment if you suspect that they might be sensitive to multiple things at once. And third is apply as many EMF buffering interventions as possible while keeping compliance. So this is where we can use certain supplements. We can use certain foods that are known to, let's say buffer. I don't want to say cancel out because it's not that the way I think biology works, the damage is done and then you mop it up. It's like the guy with the mop comes after and the damage is still done. There's shattered glass, right, but it's still better because at least you're cleaning the house. But there are such things as different supplements that can help for EMF damage, so to speak. So one thing that you want to do is minimize toxic overload, of course, heavy metal load, chemicals, mold, anything that fills the current stress bucket. So it's super important. All of these things will alleviate EMF sensitivity. Usually it might not be one thing, but overall reducing the overall toxic load and stress load. And then you can consider using herbals or supplements which directly buffer EMF, induce oxidative stress, and in certain cases, in Dr. Klinghar's cases, he saw these three supplements I mentioned two here, Biopure Rosemary Extract and Biopure Green Propolis for the immune support that propolis will bring and for the oxidative stress mopping effect of rosemary extract that looks extremely powerful, cilantro. Also for the detoxification side of things. Klinghardt really loves these three together and he has seen people actually just from adding the supplements and then of course reducing the electrosmog, not become sensitive anymore and feel tremendously well. So it's something to consider these supplements, but there are way more different solutions that we share in the course. You can also expect healing reactions to occur when reducing emf. So consider supporting with heavy Metal binders when you start removing EMFs. Because sometimes you have the client or patient that's gonna start mobilizing these heavy metals. And that's the experience of several practitioners who have taken our course that realize, okay, there's a detox reaction, right? This is something that happens with a lot of protocols. So you want to be aware of that. And Klinghardt recommends is chlorella pyrenoidosa. That is one type of chlorella that has a good binding ability compared to most other types of chlorella. It could be other things. Some people will use charcoal. Just be aware that healing reactions can occur for people who all of a sudden start detoxing again in a natural EMF environment, or they start sleeping better, which makes them detox more. Right. So sometimes it's. What comes first isn't clear, but the overall message is make sure that you're aware that this might happen. And I want to share one last case study with you, and that's a case study of Mark. And this has been shared by Me by Dr. Zach Bush, Triple Board, MD, who used to be studying cancer, cancer cells. He has studied metabolism, and now he's a pioneer in the development of dietary supplements like Restore. And probably heard about it, he's an expert of the extracellular matrix and the microbiome. And he shared with me the fact that he completely missed this case of Mark, who was EMF sensitive. So Mark comes in to see Dr. Zach Bush a few years ago, I think it was 2005. And Marx has the classic symptoms of chronic fatigue. He's about quit working because of the exhaustion. He just feels old. He was 46 years old at the time. And he has bouts of migraines, heart palpitations. And right there you have the classic symptoms that are a little bit unstable. Sometimes they're on, sometimes they're off. But they're really classic when it comes to EMS sensitivity. The bizarre symptoms, though, is Mark feels extremely out of balance and frequently dizzy. So out of balance that when he came to see Dr. Bush, he had to literally hold on to the wall sometimes. And that's a man that's not 90 year old. He's 46. So that's very bizarre that the balance is extremely poor in this man's. The CT scan is normal, though. So the neurological effects at this point don't seem to have occurred because of brain injury or physical issues. So that's even more bizarre to Dr. Bush. He doesn't really know what could be causing that. So before the MF protocol was applied. So Dr. Bush has had Mark on the best functional medicine protocols that he knows of and addressing all the factors that itad will. It's gonna. All the factors that exist, right? Food and supplements and de stressing and looking at relationships and everything. Right? All the factors that were keeping him sick. And what happened is that he told me, Dr. Bush, in a recent call, well, it was as if Mark was taking two steps forward, but then only to take two steps back for an entire year, and he couldn't figure out what was wrong. Well. Well, what happened is that at one point, Mark realized he was EMF sensitive. He was driving down the highway and feeling bouts of his heart racing and feeling dizzy. At a certain point every morning, driving to work, at the exact same point, he felt these symptoms. So eventually he realized there was a big cell phone tower right there, right next to where he felt the symptoms. And eventually he discovered that it was indeed electrosensitive because he started removing these sources of wi fi and bluetooth from his bedroom, and he instantly started getting better. So after the EMF protocol was applied and that EMF was included in Dr. Zach Bush's previous protocol, well, Mark started getting better. And it's really when he started cleaning his environment that everything changed, especially his bedroom. And it might just be because his system finally could get one night of rest and then two real nights, and then three. So the compounding effects of this sleep cannot be underscored here. And on the same supplements, on the same foods and lifestyle interventions which had previously sleep failed. Mark succeeded. So that's just tremendous. Within two years, his symptoms slowly went away, and these results have been sustained for several years now. So that's incredible, because it means that the damage is not necessarily permanent for everyone. For certain people, it might be. I cannot tell you it's quarantined. You can go back. Just like when it comes to anything for the human biology, we don't know exactly if it's possible to reverse everything. Even some people are trying to reverse aging, right? But in that case of Mark, the symptoms went away, and now he doesn't feel as sensitive. He feels a little bit sensitive. And he had to change his job, in which he was very exposed to WI fi for among other things. But at least he has now an understanding that this is his poison. And now Mark can live a normal life, just like a celiac can live a normal life when they finally realize that they should never eat bread again. So the point of this presentation is not to teach you everything there is to ems you probably chances are that it's even a little bit overwhelming. Probably more questions than answers. And I realized that in one hour. There's only so much I can tell you. But, but my conclusion, and I think this is very reasonable to say, is that EMF related symptoms are extremely easy to miss. And as a practitioner, the first step that you've taken tonight, and I salute you for that, or today as you're listening to this, is that at least you're interested in the topic and that you want to learn the basics in order to not miss these cases. Because unfortunately, the direction that doctors who are EMF aware are seeing is that more and more people are going to be sensitive and feeling symptoms from these technologies in the future. The good news is that I have a free gift and I love saying that. I love giving gifts. So that's the how EMFS affect your patients guide. And if you're listening to this, you don't see it, but it's quite pretty. It's a PDF basically, that we put in an iPad here. You can go to electrosmugrx.com Living Proof electrosmugrx.com livingproof and that's a free PDF called how EMFS affect your patients. And basically in this presentation, you've learned a lot of things. This is if you took a lot of notes, or you didn't have to take notes, or you didn't have time to take notes, well, you can skip that part. And in this quick PDF, it's about a five minute read. You see the top symptoms, you see reminders of the top sources to reduce. You see some bouts about EMS science that I could not include in this presentation. So it's really the foundational knowledge that every single health practitioner needs to know. And if you know other health practitioners that, oh my God, you missed this presentation, you love the information, please share also this document with them or this page with them. It's super important. And I want to thank you, Satchin, for this opportunity. I'm so glad I could present this with your audience today. Well, thank you, brother.
It's been a true honor for us to share this information. I mean, a pleasure for me to share this information with not only the practitioners that I coach and train, but people listening to the podcast. And I'm actually, if it's okay with you, Nick, I'm going to share this with my patients and also other people who I know would benefit from it. Because our mantra is that the doctor of the future is the patient and we want everyone to become their own Best clinician. Sure, sure. Unfortunately, not everyone may have the opportunity to come and see us in person, but this is a great resource for anyone who's at home and just kind of wondering, like, hey, like, I can turn the breaker off every night for the next week and it doesn't cost me anything. Just, you know, maybe walking downstairs and finding the panel. But that's a free intervention and it might make a profound difference. I mean, certainly it's going to make a difference. Whether it's a symptomatic difference or not remains to be seen. But it's the right thing to do, right? Like it's electrosmog, people are saying, is like the smoking of our generation, except you don't even know you're smoking. Right. You're kind of smoking on the inside, if you will. So, you know, give it a shot. If you're listening to this and you haven't done it, then, you know, cut out all electronics. The thing that I do is I do put my phone in airplane mode, Nick. I do turn my router off, but I do have a lamp plugged in, like a little salt lamp plugged into my wall next to me. Even though it's off. What I'm going to do tonight is I'm going to find the breaker switch and maybe I'll try turning that off and see if that makes a difference. I generally have been sleeping a lot better since I moved into my new home. I used to live in a condo. And for, you know, a environmental biologist or someone like yourself who's, you know, very versed in this, you might almost want to throw up hearing that. But I used to get like 30 wifi signals to pick from and now I barely get one. Like, the way our house is set up is nice. We don't. We have one WI FI signal. Like, we don't have any neighbors WI FI signals. We have a forest behind us. And, you know, we've fortunately, we're very blessed to be able to move not quite out into the country, but away from, you know, densely populated areas. But I know what it's like to live in a very highly, you know, densely populated, WI fi, electro smog type of setting. And you combine that not only with people's WI FI signals, but their cell phones and everything else that's in their home. Sure. Yeah. It adds up pretty quickly. So, you know, I'm happy that I moved into a low electrosmog environment again. Like, we can, you know, if we have a quintillionth of the exposure or 1,000,000,000 times the exposure that we used to have before, you know, every little bit helps.
So definitely that's a good way to put it. That's it. That's exactly right. Satchin. When you compare to ancestral levels, anything that you can do, even if you don't feel it, just brings you back to nature. And I'm. I tend to have a bias towards nature and I don't know if that's a scientific thing to do, but as we find with the paleo movement and of course, oh, it's not what our ancestors used to eat. Well, let's say natural food and nature and sun. Right. And distressing. Trying to live a more simple life. All these things seem to be working in science. So a low EMF environment just makes sense in the end. When you think of it, when you see these numbers, it's like, okay, well it's, it's a logical thing that you feel better in the middle of the forest because our biology is built for this environment. That's the way I see it.
Yeah, absolutely. So I want you to talk a little bit more about your book. Maybe you can feel free to give it a plug. It's a really simple read, which is what I like. It's got the scientific information that you need and it's got the references, but it's an easy read. It's something that I feel every clinician should have in their office. So where can people get a copy of theirs?
Sure. Well, the best place would be Amazon. Amazon.com, amazon CA. You can find it. The non tinfoil guide to EMFs. The good thing about the book compared to the presentation. In the presentation, I decided I have a few presentations about science, but I feel like some of them leave people really scared and they don't know what to do. So I wanted to do. The book is a mix of solutions. I'd say half solutions and half science. It's heavily referenced. So if you listen to this presentation, it would be a good compliment to grab a copy of the book or have it in your office so that you can point towards certain tidbits about, for example, which countries are taking action, reducing the levels of electrosmog, or what studies say about EMFs in the heart, EMFs in the brain, EMFs and fertility. So it's really an overview of the science and more of, let's say, a discussion. Why is it that we should be cautious about these things versus why is it that it's definitely hurting us? It's not my position. My position is that the science available at the moment is so strong that a lot of countries are choosing to take action. Now. The question is, as a society, and unfortunately in North America, and I include Quebec, I include all of Canada in there, we oftentimes kind of go backwards. We roll out the technology, whether it's tobacco or asbestos or cell phones. And when we realize there's harm, then we backtrack and make it safer. I think we're in that position at the moment. And my book, it really explains true science, why we should act now and why in the future we might eventually come to the conclusion that this is harmful and change technology. I believe in the possibility of having cell phones that emit maybe 100,000 times less radiation. That's even technically almost possible at the moment that I'm speaking, because I'm aware of certain technologies or certain people that might be working on it. However, there's no consumer demand. No one wants safer technologies if they don't know that the technology is unsafe. So it's a societal problem. And there's deception from the industry, who is really strong, trying to keep the doubt running. Pretty much the industry playbook from big Tobacco. And what they say is, oh, science is not definitive. Well, since when did we need definitive science to take action? If we wait on definitive science, I think we'll almost just eat low fat and margarine and I don't know, like, if you follow, if you follow just was what is definitely known, you don't end up with tremendous health. And that's a bizarre state of affairs that we're in. But it's just a fact. So we gotta go beyond just being just. Just following this scientific ism, right. Being like a dogma where, oh, it's not definitive. So I'll just continue using my cell phone. Well, there's so many indications that it might be raising brain cancer and risk of brain cancer. So even though the scientists are. They're kind of busy fighting each other and doing this and that I think it's intelligent to take these steps. And then what made me even more concerned is when I talk to practitioners and then they told me about their EMF cases and over and over and over. And now I realized, oh, my God, who reports these cases to the government? No one. Because the government doesn't think it's happening. So we don't even know if it's 35%. It might be everyone that has some symptoms. Right. So it's really underserved because of the. Because people believe that the technology is safe. And this is what governments have been sold so far. So it's just a bizarre thing that will end up with legal stuff and people suing each other. I think in the midst of all this, people who take action early will be glad because, just because of the cell phone test. Three nights and people sleep better. I mean, just that it just shows you that these things are disruptive to hell. There's no other argument that could be made scientifically. In my opinion. When you see it over and over and over, it's, it's, it's, it's too overwhelming. It's like it's not a fluke, it's not a mass hysteria that the people are getting better get it going off these devices. And it's just logical. When you study, when you look at the science, and I share some science in the book about the electric body, but when you realize that every freaking part of the human body works with electricity and that EMFs are, well, electromagnetic fields, there's an electric component, the magnetic component, and that it affects your biology, it affects these components. Well, it kind of makes sense now, but our science is kind of stuck in the chemical theory of how the body functions. So it's still, I guess the theories have not caught up to where everyone in science understands that we're bioelectrical and that this really prevents us from seeing the truth amidst all of these societal changes.
Yeah. And you have to realize, like, there is a lot of money invested in, you know, in the infrastructure that's already been created for this not to be common knowledge. Right. Like if everyone, I mean, but here's the thing. Like other countries have classified, you know, WI fi radiation as a carcinogen, haven't they?
Like, hasn't the, the World health organization in 2011 has classified it as a Class 2B carcinogen. Now, a Class 2B is, is the lowest classification. So it's not okay. Some people argue, well, it's the same category as pickled vegetables. So for, for, for some reason they have classified coffee and a few things in, like this 2B carcinogen, which is a possible carcinogen category. So a lot of people say, okay, well, the World Health Organization doesn't mean a thing, blah, blah, blah. Well, the same researchers that were on the committee on 2011, using the same criteria, just with the new studies that came out since that decision in the last seven to eight years say it should be a two A probable carcinogen or a class one definite carcinogen. So the science is there. It's just that the World Health Organization has not at the moment reconsidered that decision. And once they do, and I think it might happen in the next few years, hopefully few months, I don't know exactly what's going on behind the scenes. Well, it's going to be a big shock to a lot of people because. Because it's not just. And this is something that I often share. It's not just looking at what science shows at the moment. It's also where is science going. And with emfs, I follow the studies. Every week there's new studies that are even more concerning. So it's just stacking and stacking. And it's not like we're finally discovering that these things are safe. It's quite the opposite. The more I studied this stuff and the more new science emerges, the more we understand that they're harmful. And this is just what I've realized over the last three years following this topic down the rabbit hole. And I think it's only going to get worse as we discover the extent of the problem.
So let me ask you this. I mean, there are people that are concerned, like yourself and myself, and this is where kind of the snake oil stuff can come out of the woodwork too.
Right.
So, you know, when I go to. I just recently had a biohacker summit and I go to conferences, and then you've got people that are making certain types of claims. So there's a few things that some people might be aware of. And I just wanted to. I don't know if there's any science to back any of this up or if there's any personal input or anecdotal evidence that you could provide. But, you know, I recently went to a thing and they gave me one of these little stickers. It's like a holographic stickers. I don't want to call it anyone's name or anything, but. And they put this on the back of my cell phone and they do muscle testing on you and stuff like that, which I do believe in muscle testing, but, you know, is there any evidence to support stuff like this? Is this snake oil? Like, what are your thoughts on it?
Yeah, it's a common question. It's actually probably the number one question I get from health practitioners because some health practitioners in particular are selling these have become kind of affiliates for different companies. And the truth is a lot of doctors, even those who treat electrohypersensitivity, have seen some results in reduction of symptoms in certain types of chips or pendants. And some of them seem to Work via the use of certain crystals. So for some people, some engineers in the MF world are kind of close minded to these technologies and they think it's woowoo. They will say it's pure snake oil, it's a scam. Other doctors that are a little bit more, I think, rational about this and approach this, okay, well how is it that it seems like it's improving symptoms in so many people? What they found is some of them feel better in a high MF environment when they have these devices somehow, even if the mechanisms are unknown. I've seen various things. Some say, well, it will harmonize the EMFs, it will deconstruct the signal to make it more smooth or whatever is used. And there, there are certain principles of science that I do not understand completely about the resonance of certain crystals and how. And some of them are into quantum physics and effects that I don't understand fully. But I think it's undeniable that some of these devices make a difference where I have a problem and where Dr. Klinghardt, for example, doesn't want people to rely on these at all. He actually said to me that he doesn't think it's a good idea that these things are sold is because of the marketing around these devices. Right? So a lot of these companies will say this is protective against EMFs like this repels, or they will use certain verbiage that. In other words, people think, oh, now my cell phone is safe, right? Is that the case? Would be my question. And when I ask the manufacturers to provide me proof that I talked about the VGC seeds and the main probable mechanism that we think is happening on a cellular mitochondrial level is the calcium overload inside a cell and the oxidative stress. Do you have proof, undeniable proof, that this is not happening? When I have a chip on my phone and the answer is no. The answer is no. Well, I have muscle testing. I have the GDV camera that looks at basically your biophotonic emission, kind of like your aura, but measured in a scientific way. That's good. All these things, your HRV is better, your heart rate doesn't go up. Well, okay, These are improvements in symptoms and not necessarily proof of no harm. So the problem I have is recommending these things to people and then they keep exposing themselves. And even worse than that, they used to feel sensitive, now they don't feel sensitive, so they use their cell phone even more, thinking it's safe. And while the damage on a cellular level might still be occurring, and I don't know if that's the case. So this is the very, let's say, the huge caveat that you need as a practitioner to decide, okay, is it a good idea to reduce symptoms or to mask these symptoms a little bit? Just like using meds in certain situations, pain meds is essential for some people because they're so in pain for the moment. So is it a crotch that is okay, considering, for example, the client or patient will still continue to use WI fi in their work and they cannot change it or else they will be fired? Well, maybe you want to reduce symptoms in this situation. So you might want to explore these solutions. I decided for the moment where I am in my career not to endorse any of these brands simply because I don't have the means to figure out which one works best, because the, the science around it is so vague and we don't have a way to measure scientifically is it harmonizing these EMFs or not? So I don't know if it works. And I don't want to fall into recommending one brand that ends up being deceptive or something like that. So this is really why I stick to technologies that I could say are more like blocking than these chips and pendants.
Yeah, it's kind of nice and wishful thinking. You know what I mean?
That's a sexy idea. Yeah, yeah.
That we could wear an organite pendant and it harmonizes us and, you know, some of them are quite beautiful and nice. And I have an organite that I have underneath my bed. Again, wishfully thinking that something is being done and it is harmonizing the energy around me. Regardless, they're. They're quite nice to look at. So if, you know, just use the. Use this type of technology responsibly.
Yeah.
You know, if you are going to use it, you still want to mitigate, you still want to do these other things. And this is something maybe you can layer on top of that if it makes you feel better. Right. Like, we certainly know that this definitely is the most powerful intervention ever studied. But, you know, don't. Don't pretend like this is going to just stop everything. And you're going to be like this. You're going to have this invisible shield around. You still have to take the precautions that were mentioned today.
Definitely. And let me tell you something, Sachin, if someone hears from a device that sorts out all of this problem, well, I'm glad because I won't have to write a second book about ems. I will just sell that thing, that magical thing and everything. Will be sorted out. But at the moment I have not seen these results. And if someone creates that, it would maybe sort out the entire issue, like if someone invents that. But so far it's not sorted out the way I see it. So I have, I haven't found the magic cure so far. And if I find it, well, I'm going to be the biggest seller of that thing and I will likely start, I don't know, painting, doing something else with my life. Like, I, I don't want to continue talking about ems. I just wish that the topic would resolve itself eventually.
Yeah. And, you know, I just want to throw this out there for, for you, Nick, and honor you for a moment because this is probably, I mean, you're probably not that you're tackling this industry. You're not going up against it per se, but in a way you are, right? Like you're calling out the bullshit and you're really going up against something that's sacred to all of us, which is our technology. And at the end of the day, you're trying to help us live a better life. And you're open and receptive to the idea that there is a solution. If this isn't a quote, unquote, invisible problem, there probably will be an invisible solution. And that could be very elegant.
Right.
So, you know, thank you for doing this. I know it's probably, you know, you probably, I'm assuming, at least you've come up against a lot of roadblocks and people challenging you and questioning you. And this could be a very heated debate and topic of discussion, but you've approached it very elegantly. Your book is great, obviously, from what you shared today, very knowledgeable about this topic. And thank you for, you know, diverting, you know, and, you know, really channeling a lot of your attention to practitioners and educating us so that we could educate more and more people. So, you know, once again, I appreciate you and I thank you for sharing so much valuable time and knowledge with all of us.
Thank you, Satchin. It's been amazing and I must say that the functional practitioners that I've met are, have pushed me in this direction. Ellie Campbell, Trudy Scott, Tom Morecroft. So many people that I've met throughout the last year and a half who have participated in the little test group that I put together. It's been really them who I think allowed me to go over my imposter syndrome As a young guy, a non scientist, non doctor. It was extremely hard to take charge and say, well, I will find the Best doctors, what they say about ems. And I will put the information in front of practitioners. And these people really motivated me and you among them now because you show me that you want me to share this information with your audience and it means a lot. So thank you. Thank you, Satchin. Thank you everyone listening to this. And I'm open to receiving your questions if people have questions about that. Satchin, is there a way that they can write in or we could always do a Q and A or something. I would love to answer any questions that people have after this presentation, if that's possible at all.
Yeah, well, I do want to remind everyone that they can go to electrosmogrx.com and get this amazing guide that Nicholas has created for all of us. And Nicholas, is there, is there a way that people can connect with you, let's say on social media or Instagram and maybe you can let us know what is the best way for people to post their questions?
Yeah, definitely. You can go to. If you type Nick Pino and that's P I, N E A U L, T, you tap just Nick Pino on Facebook, you'll find my page and that's a great place. You could ask questions there. And also if you have questions, you could always inside the document once you Download it@alexmagarx.com Living proof inside the guide. There's also support email. So if so many people send questions. And I think I will create another video on my YouTube channel. So if you type Nick Pinot on YouTube, you'll find some of my latest videos. I show a little bit more hands on how to use a simple EMF meter, kind of the basics. And I will be sharing a lot more about my adventures throughout the world. Going to Las Vegas next week to a conference and what I do in a hotel room, for example, when I come in with my meters and I think I'll be traveling with 6 meters this next time around, so it will be so geeky. But yeah, this is the kind of things that I want to show you. So the YouTube channel is also a great way to connect with me.
Okay, so one, two last questions. When you go through the airport, do you get a pat down or do you go through the machine?
Oh, my God. Okay. I used to go for the pat down and then I did this slide for a presentation in Vermont where I figured out what type of signal comes out from this machine. And it's a signal that is so weak, it's the millimeter wave range. Right. So that's the exact same thing. That's going to be used for 5G. So about 19-26 GHz is what they use for these TSA machines. So the power density that is used is something like 30 to 60 microwatts per square meter. As a comparison, your cell phone emits over 100,000 microwatts per square meter in a different range. But a 5G phone will likely. If there's a neighbor on the subway that uses a 5G phone in the near future, let's say in five years, you're going to be exposed to, I don't know, a thousand TSA scans per second, something like that. So just to give you perspective, so when the TSA says that the levels are extremely low, it's true. It's true that they're low. I think that using your cell phone to scroll the Internet is more dangerous than going to a TCS scan. And even with that in mind, sometimes I still get paranoiac about my research. I'm like, well, I looked at the technical specifications and they've been tested. I even looked at another study that was a third party analyzing the exposures from these machines, and they were so low, it was ridiculous. It was like an average of 37 microwatt. So I'm like, I don't know. Sometimes I still go for the pat down. I would not recommend it for like pregnant women and everything, but these days I just go through the machine and I'm like, okay, this is just ridiculous.
Okay, well, good to know.
You just.
I've been going through the pat down and now you just saved me a bunch of time so I don't have to go through that grueling process.
Yeah, I don't think it's that useful considering all the exposures you're getting in an airport and just from your own cell phone.
Okay. You're probably safer in there, it sounds like. And then, you know, I guess, you know, let's. Let's leave it at that. I think you've answered so many questions. Gracious. But that was like, the one thing that was kind of, you know, pressing on my mind. I just wanted to know what. What would Nick do? That's what I'm gonna. We should have T shirts made now, right? What would Nicholas do?
I'll keep it in mind for my new website next year. Yeah, that's a good idea.
Well, awesome, brother. Thank you so much.
Oh, this is.
Okay, one super last question. Apple watches and smart watches.
Yeah. Not ideal. People who are sensitive. Some of them are getting skin irritations. That's because the wifi signal is so close to your body, and it's been shown to increase the migration of mast cells towards the top layers of the dermis. So there's really a skin kind of allergic reaction that a lot of people are getting when exposed even to cell phones. Some of them get, like, the red phase, the flushing. So that's really a histamine reaction. And for some people, it's a real problem. And then there's also the fact that it's pulsing so close, so close to your main arteries. And that's a concern that is shared by a lot of people who study these things. So instead of putting a cell phone to your head and causing an effect there, you're putting it right next to your blood flow. Right. So what is it doing? Well, it's pulsing. It's pulsing your blood, so it's creating oxidative stress. So how much of an issue is that? Well, hard to quantify. And this is Bluetooth because. And Bluetooth is lower power than a cell phone. The wearable. Some of them are in extremely low power compared to a cell phone, sometimes 100 times less. But is it. Of course, it's not beneficial. Let's put it this way. Of course it's not beneficial. And for some people, if they stop using it, they feel better. That might be an indication that they have some sort of sensitivity. But also look for just acute effects. Some people will get numbness in the arm where they have, let's say, I don't want to name brands. Any type of wearable. Like, it could be Fitbit, could be Apple Watch, could be Samsung, whatever. When it emits Bluetooth close to your body, it's not ideal. I have the Oura ring. It can be put on airplane mode. This is the only reason I have it or I keep it. I track my sleep with it. I track my HRV activity levels and whatnot. So if you demand for a wearable that can be put on airplane mode, it will be tremendous. Let's say if you're a fan of the Fitbit for training, use it only during your workout. Would be my advice. If it has benefits for you, it keeps you motivated and you track your fitness levels, it's okay for one hour. Again, reduce time of use. One of the rules, Right. So something that I would do is that. And then write to the company and say, hey, can you create the Fitbit that goes in airplane mode? And if people start having this concern, they will put the option.
Yeah, absolutely. Okay. Thank you, brother. It's getting late. And I know you've got a young child at home, so I want to make sure I honor you. And once again, thank you so much.
Thank you. Thanks for having me one last time.
