EP048: The Power of Medicinal Mushrooms with Sachin Patel
Episode EP048 (Perfect Practice podcast) features Sachin Patel speaking to a practitioner audience about the power and uses of medicinal mushrooms, with emphasis on reishi (Ganoderma lucidum). Patel reviews fungal biology, traditional use, ecological roles, five commonly used medicinal species (turkey tail, cordyceps, lion's mane, chaga, reishi), proposed health effects (immune modulation, neurogenesis, detoxification, improved microcirculation, sleep, blood sugar regulation), product forms (spores, mycelium, fruiting body) and practical consumption/dosing habits (example: spores morning, mycelium midday, ganoderma at night; typical capsule 'two each' comment). He mixes research claims, clinical anecdotes/testimonials, and market commentary (industry valuation mentioned). Audience Q&A addresses chaga, strength/muscle effects, allergies, and dosing.

So I have the privilege of introducing our first speaker this evening. He truly is a man that does not need any introduction. I know it's a cliche saying, but really, you have blown up Organo. You are like on fire. You inspire everybody in this room. I'm not going to say one more word, but Dr. Sacha Patel, please enlighten me.
Us. So welcome. Thank you, Paul. That was a nice, short and sweet introduction. So I'm actually going to be speaking and very grateful. Thank you. It was a nice warm up, right? Nice way to warm each other up. I was actually watching my parents the whole time because I think that's the closest they've come to hugging each other. So thanks for that. So I'm actually speaking next week at a medical conference about the power of medicinal mushrooms. So I actually quickly. What I did was I took out some of the slides on the other mushrooms that I'm going to be talking about and I'm going to focus on reishi today. Is that okay with you guys? Yes. Awesome. So I had to go through this process of doing all kinds of medical research and look for literature. And so all of the slides in here are backed by research and I'll be sharing some of that. I'm going to keep this pretty short. And then if we want, if we want to do the regular presentation, we can, but I need someone to time me because if I don't have a timer, then I will go all night. But what time do I need? Where's my wife? So she's. She's me on the spot. Yeah. Okay. So I, I don't know what time. You asked Diane what time you have. All right. All right. Because I promised her, I brought my son and her, she came tonight that I would get them home in time for him to go to bed. So the only time that is. Yeah, but I didn't want to miss today because I'm super excited for what I have to share so thanks for offering me the floor today. Like I said, I'm going to be giving this presentation next week in North Carolina at a conference. So let's talk about what are mushrooms in the first place? Mushrooms are, they belong to a kingdom called fungi or they belong to the fungal kingdom. Mushrooms share about 50% of our DNA, so genetically, they make up about 50% of the DNA that we have. Mushrooms are more human than they are plant. Okay, so in terms of how they can affect us and how they can help us, they actually share more genetic information with us than plants, which means, guess what, they can probably be more powerful than plants to help us. Would you assume that? Yeah. Is that pretty safe to say? I would say so. Right. So if we have more similarities, we have more synchronicity, which means that there's more benefits. So all of us would agree that plants, plants are beneficial for us in some way, shape or form. So guess what? If something shares more genetic information with us, it's probably more powerful and more potent and it's probably going to produce results that you've never seen before, because most people have never taken mushrooms before. So it's an entirely new opportunity for them to heal, repair, regenerate, and restore their health. Would you agree with that? Okay, so it's an untapped opportunity. Most people don't even have an awareness that this opportunity exists because they've never consumed the product or any products like it in their entire life. Most people's understanding of mushrooms are button mushrooms, right? The mushrooms that eat on pizza. And that's the most exposure people have. Or maybe they have a mushroom risotto if they go to a fancy restaurant once in a while. Right, but every mushroom is beneficial. Every mushroom has medicinal properties. But there are certain mushrooms that have more potent properties than others. Some mushrooms are poisonous. There's over 500,000 different types of mushrooms and more and more that we're identifying. So trust me, it's a very deep topic. And mushrooms grow under the right conditions. These conditions include moisture, sunlight, temperature, a drop in temperature rather, and oxygen. So we have to have the right conditions for mushrooms to grow in. And mushroom foraging also makes your hikes a lot more present. So today my wife and I went on a 45 minute hike and we were looking for mushrooms. But it's not really the right season or conditions for what we're looking for. But you always see something. You'll see a remnant, or you'll see maybe something springing up. Okay, so let's go. What are mushrooms? They actually Turn hydrocarbons into carbohydrates. So anyone. Can anyone think of an example of a hydrocarbon that we probably encounter every day? Gasoline or diesel. Right. Plastics are hydrocarbons as well. So there's mushrooms that can actually turn plastic into mushrooms. You can turn diesel into oyster mushrooms because mushrooms turn hydrocarbons into carbohydrates. They're literally transformers. So if you can pour diesel on soil and grow oyster mushrooms and cleanse that soil, what can it do in your body? If it has the intelligence to do that, what else can it do? So mushrooms actually detoxify our forest. They turn dying matter, dying trees into medicine. Okay. Mushrooms can be used as both food and medicine and are highly eco friendly. So this means you're gonna see an emergence of mushrooms being used in biomaterials. So you can actually. One of my friends is doing his PhD research right now on being able to grow mushroom mycelium and turn it into building materials. It's super light, super strong, and completely biodegradable if it needs to be. Or it can last for a long period of time. Mushrooms are. Some mushrooms have hallucinogenic effects. You're probably thinking of magic mushrooms. That's also known as psilocybin, which will soon be legalized to treat Alzheimer's, to treat depression and anxiety and post traumatic stress disorder. Guess how long it takes to treat somebody with these conditions using mushrooms? One day. Okay, so in one day, you can completely reverse the way somebody's brain works and reverse traumatic events. You can reverse Alzheimer's. There's a patent on it right now. I actually have a copy of it on my computer. And psychedelic mushrooms can be used for therapeutic interventions. That's what I just said. It's legalized in Oakland, California right now. It's decriminalized. Sorry. And decriminalized in Denver and Oregon. Okay, so it's coming here soon. So if you're ever looking for an opportunity, this is a great opportunity to be involved in this big movement that's going on right now. If you have two stocks in your portfolio, there should be a stock in coffee. It's the second most traded commodity. The other one should be mushrooms. It's the next trillion dollar industry. Right now it's already at 50 billion. There's no end in sight. There's something called the stone ape theory. You might want to look into it. It's Terence and Dennis McKenna came up with this theory and basically mushrooms, psilocybin. Mushrooms specifically installed consciousness into apes. And we are those stoned apes. So mushrooms actually flower our brain and cause neurogenesis. And one of the mushrooms I won't talk about today is the most potent neurogenic natural compound ever discovered. It's discovered in a mushroom called lion's mane mushroom in some states. Like I said, psilocybin will soon be legal. I need to update that. It is legal now. And some people question if mushrooms are from outer space because they can survive the conditions of space, which means that it's theoretically possible that they have come here and been transplanted on this planet, without mushrooms, you have no soil. Mushrooms, the mycelium and mushroom demineralizes rock and turns it into soil, which allows for all fertile things to grow, which allowed for us to become part of this planet as well. Mushrooms have been around before all plants on this planet. An example is prototaxites, which is hundreds of millions of years old. And this is when mushrooms ruled the world. In fact, mushrooms used to be the tallest growing structures on this planet. Mushrooms would grow to about 40ft tall. And you can see it dwarfs all the other stuff that's around it. So before anything you see like trees and all these big shrubs and bushes and plants, before all of that was mushrooms, okay? So there'd be no life on this planet if it wasn't for mushrooms. Here's the anatomy and life cycle of a mushroom. And this comes from Paul Stamets, who's the world's leading mycologist. So it starts off as a spore, okay? The spore gets inoculated, germinates, and turns into something called a hyphal knot, which is like a root structure that branches. This hyphal knot continues to grow, and it grows underground. And what you see is then a primordias, and that forms into the fruiting body, which is the mushroom. The mushroom then releases spores. So there's three products that we carry. One is spores, okay? So that's the egg. And then we have the mycelium, which is the root structure. And then we have the fruiting body, which is the lucidum. Okay? So if we think about what these things do, the spores are so powerful because they have all the information in them. The mycelium acts in the forest, or when you walk into the forest, the mycelium behaves in the forest as the lungs, the detox. I'm sorry, the lungs, the immune system, and the digestive system and the nervous system. So it functions as those four things. So guess what, If I give somebody mycelium, what may it have the potential to heal those Four systems. Okay, guess what? That's what it does. And that's what the research shows then the mushroom takes dying matter toxins and turns them into medicine. That process is known as detoxification. That's exactly what our liver and kidneys do. Liver and kidneys take toxins from our blood and basically filter them and turn them into non hazardous chemicals which are then released or recirculated back into our body. So if the mushroom is detoxifying the forest, guess what its potential is to do in you? Detoxify you. And that's why Reishi works so powerful as a detoxifier. And you'll see a second reason why in a moment. If we look at the branching structure of all things in the universe, it looks like this. So if I look at your brain under a microscope, I hope there's brain cells in there. And it looks like this. Okay, this is mycelium. So this is what the root structure looks like in mycelium. These are plant roots, tree roots, social networks. And this is the largest picture that we have of our universe. And this is all the dark matter in the universe. Do you guys see a pattern in this? Okay, so if the universe uses this pattern, and this is, I would say, a pattern for success. Right? So think about it this way. If I cut this branch off, does the tree die? If I cut this branch off, does the tree die? No, it doesn't. What does it do? It survives because it has a backup plan. Right? It has what we call anastomosis, which means it's going to go, it's going to grow around it. It's going to get resources from the rest of the roots. Okay. How many of your careers look like this? How many branches does your income have right now? 1 0. 2. Right. So if you want to create a financial fortress, if you want to create stability like this tree, then wouldn't it make sense to use the same formula the universe is using right now to create everything, to build everything around you that you've ever seen, wouldn't it make sense to at least consider using that formula? Right. If this right formula or this formula for stability was a pole in the ground and that was a tree, how long do you think that tree is going to last? I could just pull it out like this. You ever try pulling out a bush? Right. So that's what we call stability. That's what we call structure. That's what we call, we call the ability to have multiple sources of income, multiple sources of survival. Okay? So if the universe uses this formula, on every single scale. Maybe we should consider how we're using this in our lives personally. Because something that's been around for 13.8 billion years probably knows what it's doing. It hasn't made any mistakes yet. Here's an interesting infographic, and it shows you the difference between a placebo brain, so people given a placebo and then measuring brain activity, and a hyperconnected brain. So one dose of psilocybin mushrooms does this to your brain. Who do you think is a better employee? Who do you think solves problems faster? Who do you think is better at coding? Who do you think has more use of their brain and nervous system? In this chart, probably the person on the right. I want my brain to look like that. Okay, if you're looking at trends, then this is from the Farmer's Almanac. You'll see that right now, one of the hottest trends is butter in your beverages and coffee with reishi in it. Okay? So if you put butter in your reishi coffee, you're looking pretty good. If you look AT results since 1988, we can see these are the results. This is all the research that's going on in reishi. Okay. And this is what we would call exponential growth. So if something of interest is. So if research costs money, does it. If we're doing more research, does that mean we're spending more money? Yeah. Do people spend money? Do pharmaceutical companies spend money on things that don't work? Researching them? No. What are they looking for? They're looking for a way to patent what's in that coffee. Here's the thing. They'll never find a way to. Because you need the entire root structure. You need the entire information. You need all the information, not just one branch of the information. So this is why the pharmaceutical companies will never create a cure for anything. Because the way nature cures things is in a branching architecture. The cure, the things that address the side effects, is all in the whole plant. It's in the whole fungus. It's not in an isolation of the fungus. Just like the code that runs your phone isn't one line. It's a million lines of code. Does that make sense? So we need all the information for healing to occur. So this is why pharmaceutical companies, they've already pigeonholed themselves to never solve any healthcare challenges because they're using fractions of an entire fractal of information. Okay? So if you're banking on the medical system solving your problems, good luck. Okay? There's plenty of healthcare providers in here that will tell you the same thing. So there's five legal medicinal mushrooms that you should start incorporating daily. One is turkey tail, which cures breast cancer. The next one is cordyceps, which actually cures asthma. It's also been shown to help cure diabetes. And so there's radical research coming out that's about that. Lion's mane cures Alzheimer's. If you have brain fog, take 1 to 2 grams a day and let me know two weeks how you feel. And then chaga, which is the immune system of a birch tree. So guess what? It heals your immune system. It's actually very effective at killing cancer cells and naturally boosting your immune system. And the last one is reishi. Reishi has the most research on it. So today I'm going to talk about Reishi. So let's talk about the benefits of Ganoderma lucidum, which is in all the products that we carry. First and foremost, it's been used for thousands of years in China. What is China famous for? It has the biggest population as well, doesn't it? Right. So maybe there's something to that. Right? They've been using this for 2500 years. They're a resilient population. Right? I was kind of. I went for a walk today with my wife, and I'm like, the best healthcare plan is just follow an old Asian person. Watch what they're doing, right? Just like, shadow them for a week, right? And I guarantee you'll live longer. So we're out there walking. There's all these old Asian people there. I'm like, this is amazing, right? This is the formula being out in nature. I mean, that's. You don't see. You don't see too many people doing that. So I'm just going to follow what a population of a billion and a half has done for 2500 years and continues to do and continues to revere. So as far as I understand, Reishi is considered a national treasure in China. And I don't think it's been dethroned by anything just yet. Okay. So in China, if you were caught stealing Reishi, they would chop your hands off. If you were caught a second time, they would chop your head off. So this is something that was reserved for royalty. So today, what you're drinking, or every morning, what I drink, and you must drink, is reserved for royalty. So that's why we call it king coffee. There's a reason for the fact that we call it king. It's also known as a mushroom of spiritual potency. Okay, so that's One of the things that it's revered for. Does this world need more spirituality right now? Absolutely. I call it conscious coffee because everyone that drinks it operates just at a different level of consciousness, is what I found. Okay. So it's kind of like drinking the conscious Kool Aid. The next thing is it increases microcirculation. So if you want to heal anything, what do you have to send to that area? Blood. Right. And if I want to heal the smallest parts of my body, my fingertips, my brain, what do I have to do? I have to send blood to it. Has anyone noticed that their cold hands have gone away since drinking the coffee? Anyone notice that? No one. You used to have cold hands and you don't anymore, right? So here's the thing. Touch your nose, the back of your hand. Anyone's nose cold? Yours? Did you have coffee today? Okay, yeah. Three. Okay, great. So you might want to take the spores. Okay, so a cold nose means that. Are your hands cold? Okay, so what that means is we need to work on microcirculation. So if your nose is cold, that's the same size as the blood vessel. The blood vessels on the tip of your nose are the same size as the blood vessels in your brain. So if your nose is cold, your brain is cold. Okay? So when we increase microcirculation, we increase function to the brain. The smartest part of our brain is actually the outer layer of the brain which has the smallest blood vessels. It's called the neocortex. So maybe I would also consider a lion's mane for you. Next thing is helps modulate blood sugars. So one of the things that we see is. I just saw this last week. I shared part of the story. So I'll share the whole story here is that one of my good friends, his mom, has pancreatic cancer. Okay? Now, pancreatic cancer is more common in diabetics. So she also has diabetes. So basically she's undergoing some treatment right now for chemotherapy. She's undergoing chemotherapy, and they have her on four doses of insulin every day. Insulin is a mitogenic drug, which means it causes cell division. So anything, anytime you have high levels of insulin, you have high levels of cancer growth potential in your body. Okay? So this is why diabetes isn't just a blood sugar problem. It's an entire cascade of issues. Whenever your insulin is high, your blood pressure is high, your cholesterol is high, your brain function is declining and decreasing. Inflammation is typically high. So basically your worst nightmare is diabetes. In the hospital, they're looking for healthy diabetics for research right now. Right. So there's. The system itself can define you in the same sentence as healthy and diabetic. So that tells you how broken and corrupt and stupid the system is. Okay, so it helps modulate blood sugar. So his mom went from taking four shots of insulin a day and her blood sugar, she would wake up and it would be 220. Okay. Which is. I don't know what that is in Canadian terms, but it's at least double what the upper limit is in five days. She's drinking coffee and she needs zero insulin. And her blood Sugar is at 76, which is probably better than most people in here. And guess where insulin is made? It's made in your pancreas. So if you have pancreatic cancer and now your pancreas is making insulin again, which is the only conclusion I have because she didn't change her diet. So her pancreas is working again and her pancreas had cancer. What do you think is happening to the cancer? Is it probably healing right? I mean, they're going to give her a radioactive scan to figure that out. Right? But I'm pretty certain that it's probably healing. Okay, five days. Tell me, what drug does that? It defla. The Alzheimer's brain, which means that it can actually reverse cognitive decline. So Alzheimer's. You guys might not know this. I have significant insights into the medical world, but Alzheimer's will cripple this country. Okay? So you can be. You can be part of that equation or not. And your brain actually starts degenerating when. After you turn 30. Okay, so if you think, oh, everything's fine right now, well, it takes 30 to 40 years to destroy your brain. Doesn't happen overnight. Okay? So I'm glad that most of you are drinking something that's actually helping your brain and supporting it and making you smarter. Right? I don't like to play defense. A lot of people live a preventative lifestyle. They're like, I'm living to prevent this disease. There's 70,000 different name diseases. Which one are you preventing today? Okay, so you want to live a life on the offense. You want to live a life of vitality. That's what I want to focus on. So I don't drink this coffee to prevent anything. I drink it to actually help up level me to a whole new level, okay? Because in life, I'm not looking to scrape the bottom of things. I don't go into my marriage trying to prevent a divorce. I don't start a business trying to prevent bankruptcy so I'm not going to live a lifestyle trying to prevent disease. I'm going to live a lifestyle that helps me create something. Make sense. Who wants to live on the offense, both financially and physically and emotionally. Right. If you're playing defense all the time, do you win playing defense? No, you don't. And how can you add more value into this world? By being healthy, happy and vibrant and showing up as your best self. It reduces inflammation 11 different ways. So there's many different mechanisms and increases NRF2 function. So nerve 2 is our body's own production of antioxidants to help manage, you know, oxidation in our cells. So really cool thing, Reishi, if you've never seen it, looks almost identical to a liver. Okay. And I believe that when something looks like something, it probably functions like something. Because in order for you to have in three dimensions, a specific shape, you have to have coded within that certain, certain mathematics. Right. There's a mathematical formula for the shape of everything. Would you agree with? Well, even if you don't, that's true. Okay. So now you learn something new. So there's a mathematical formula. So if that same formula creates structure in my body looks similar to it, it probably has similarities, right? It probably has structural similarities and biological similarities. Turn it to your right or, you know, flip it over. What does it look like? It looks exactly like the kidneys. So do you think it's coincidental that these organs detoxify you? That reishi detoxifies a forest? And do you think it's coincidental they look almost identical to each other? Probably not coincidental. It's actually mathematical. Okay. And then if we turn it this way, it looks like your brain. Your brain looks exactly like a mushroom, doesn't it? Okay. Because you share 50% of the DNA with mushrooms. So some of the benefits of reishi include. Promotes healthy detoxification. There's a 300 year old Reishi, in case you're wondering what that is. Improves exercise performance, helps with weight management, regulates a healthy appetite, improves sleep, improves autonomic tone of the nervous system. So how many of you in here would say, if you're drinking the coffee regularly, have noticed any of these benefits? How many of you are sleeping better? How many of you maybe have lost some weight, have a better appetite than before? You're not snacking as much as you used to. Yeah. Look around the room. So almost everyone in this room. Okay. And then improving sleep. So sleep is actually one of the most important things that we do. So if you ever study children, okay. Then Children have a lot more to teach us than we do to teach them. Okay, so you know what, what you want to look at when a child gets sick, what does a child do? They sleep, they shut up and they don't eat anything. Right. And how do they feel the next day? Amazing. Okay, what do adults do? The exact opposite. Stay up watching tv, exposing themselves to toxic levels of blue light and emf. What do they do? They take some pain medications so they can run, do all their errands and push themselves to the limit. Right. And they keep telling everyone about how sick they are. Right. So they do the exact opposite of what kids do. And how long do they stay sick for? Forever. Right. For a lifetime. So we have to make sure that we improve people's sleep. That's the first thing we do. If you're not sleeping, you're not healing. Take all the supplements you want. You can do all the exercise you want. If you're not sleeping properly, you're not healing. How you're sleeping is how you're healing. Okay? So let that sink in. Especially the fact that millions of people in this country don't get proper sleep. Okay? So if I can do something to improve somebody's sleep that I know they're going to do every day, I'm helping that person every single day. This is. I'm going to share with you the trillion dollar secret. So I want you to turn off your cameras. No, I'm just kidding. Share this with everyone you know. So we have a part of our nervous system called the autonomic nervous system. The autonomic nervous system is basically regulating every function in your body except what you're doing right now, which is paying attention to this presentation. So your blood pressure, your digestion, your heart rate, you know where blood is going in your body, you know what your immune system is doing. You're not thinking about any of that, are you? Right. It's all happening automatically for you. So that's what our autonomic nervous system does. So we have two divisions of this nervous system. We have one division called the fight or flight system, and we have another division called a parasympathetic division. Okay? So if you, if all you learn is this slide, your life will forever be changed. Okay, this slide and how I explain this. You might want to record this. If you're not recording this because you'll be kicking yourself or slapping yourself later, this slide will teach you the secret that nobody wants to you to know. Because if you know this, then you'll probably never get Sick ever again. Okay. Pretty good edification for one slide, right? All right, so we have this sympathetic division. We have the parasympathetic division. One side is called fight or flight. One side is called rest and digest. So sympathetic is what? Fight or flight. Repeat that? Fight or flight. And then rest and digest. So here's what I want. Raise your hands if you think your body's smart, okay? Raise your hands if you think your body's unintelligent. Okay? So everyone agrees your body's smart, right? So I'm going to prove to you how smart it is. So imagine a lion walked into this room. Any lion tamers here? Probably not. Right? So all that information that comes in, there's five, maybe six senses, depending on what you believe. I believe there's six senses. So some people can feel the lion coming before it ever comes. Okay? And our five senses kick in, which is we might see it, we might hear it, we might smell it. Probably won't taste it, but that's another sense. Right? And hopefully it doesn't touch us because it might be too late. Right? So those five senses. But even if it's just seeing it or smelling it, if you know what a lion. I don't know what a lion smells like, but imagine you did, right? You know what fire smells like, right? So that information comes into our part of our brain called the amygdala. The amygdala is where our fear, our belief system, and our values is stored. That part of our brain is formulated between the age of 0 and 8. So if you're over the age of 8, too bad it's already been programmed. So your values, your beliefs, and your fears are all stored in that part of your brain immediately. What happens is that part of the brain gets the information and. And sends a message down to the rest of your body. And immediately you see how short these connections are. What does short connections mean? It probably needs to act right away. Okay. So our body, immediately, based on our belief system, tells the entire organism to go into a state of fight or flight instantaneously. Instantaneously. The function of every organ in your trunk changes, and instantaneously blood rushes from the trunk to your arms and legs. That makes sense, right? Like, we wouldn't want to wait. And then you actually realize there's a lion in the room. There's a gap between when information gets from here to here, and then it goes here, goes here, second. Okay? And that protects us. That actually protects us, because if we had to think about what we were going to do, and say body. You know what? Maybe you can send some blood to the arms and legs. Where should we take it from? You know, maybe take it from my digestive system. Be dead. Okay, so this system works for us constantly, all the time. Now, the decision making part of the brain, if it's mis programmed, then guess what? You're in trouble. Because you're always going to be under stress, right? If you think the world is out to get you, if you think the world is an evil place, if you think that the guy next to you is trying to screw you over all the time, guess what? You're always in fight or flight. So guess where you're always sending blood to. Your arms and legs, which means guess where you're not sending blood to all of your organs. Okay, so when people come to us, they want better digestion, they want better immune function, they want better detoxification, they want better reproductive health, they want better brain health, they want better everything, don't they? But if they're not sending blood to that part of their body, can I ever heal that part of their body? No. So if this is my front yard and this is my backyard, and I always water my front yard, and I never water my backyard, can I ever expect my backyard grass to grow? Wouldn't that be ridiculous? So that's what people say. Water this part of my life and expect this part of my life to grow. So wouldn't it be nice if we had something that could take you and do the exact opposite and put you into a state of healing, Repair, regeneration, restoration. Who would want that? So guess what? I've been studying Reishi for about a year and a half, and that's exactly what it does. It takes your fight or flight nervous system, your wired and fearful nervous system, and turns it into a more relaxed nervous system. And when we do that, how many organs in your body heal? All of them. Every single one. Who wants that? Or who wants to take a bunch of supplements to heal all these organs? Probably not. Okay, so if we can get our nervous system to go from here to here, we win. That's it. That's the secret. So all I have to do to keep people sick is what? Keep them stressed out? Keep them in debt? Keep sharing nasty negative things on the news all the time, right? You want to be wired for stress? Listen to the news for half an hour. Read the newspaper, okay? It's all around you. The negativity and the stress is all around you. And it's all by design. It's not by accident, okay? You don't learn any. You know, isn't it funny that the people that put you. Any real estate agents here, I mean, there's probably one in here that's not practicing, right? So isn't it funny how we pay a real estate agent to put us in debt for 30 years more than we pay a dog to heal us? What does that tell you about the values of this society that we have? Right? I don't know. I don't know what that tells you, Right? You can decide what that tells you. But that was just an observation I made. You know, people are like, they pay the real estate agent, like if you sell a million dollar home, you pay like $30,000 to your real estate agent to put you in debt for 30 years. Keep you stressed out, keep you working at that job that's killing you, right? For 30 years. And that guy makes more than the guy that's actually gonna fix you or gal, right? I just. To me, that just boggles my mind because they don't teach you anything about finances in school. They don't teach you anything about health, and they don't teach you anything about food because that's how they poison you, right? They keep you in debt so you're broke. They keep you broken physically, mentally, emotionally, spiritually. And they don't teach you anything about food so they can feed you garbage and you think that's food and you'll even pack it for your kids ratiomonials. So we see amazing results from the patients that come and see us. Okay. And these are just some of them. So I had this lady and she wanted me to get this into the present. She's gonna be excited when I tell her that I'm sharing this with a whole bunch of medical professionals. She just wanted me to share it with my tribe. But her entire system healed using this product. So I almost like. It's almost like heartbreaking. I don't even get excited anymore when I get testimonials because they're just. I mean, I've almost become numb to them, right? It's so amazing the results that we see with people. So this lady, you know, she had. Okay, saw your post saying you'll be giving a seminar discussing the benefits of Reishi. I want to circle back around regarding my experience that she had in January. While I did notice a significant amount of difference in my inflammation or mental clarity, must have had an impact on my inflammation and autonomic nervous system since my brain. So she had a brain injury and she had a multitude of systemic issues. One of which I say. I say one. But because of my injuries, I know it's complex. So her entire organ system and digestive system was a mess. Okay? And so essentially, she was not able to have bowel movements without going through painful, you know, different contortions and humiliating actions. A few days after drinking the Reishi, I was able to move them daily. This is an incredible outcome for me. Okay, so somebody who's been struggling for years with a problem within days is better. How much of our money do you think she spent trying to get help? And I say our money because it's all our money, okay? Right now, healthcare is set to bankrupt all of us. So I don't know what you guys think is going to be left for you after these governments are done dealing with our money, but it's not going to be much, okay? So you got to learn how to take care of yourself financially and physically. Here's another one. I had a client of mine whose son started using the products, and within four days, a debilitating stutter disappeared. And they've tried everything, been to everyone. They're doctors themselves. Okay? But this is what helped their son in four days. I've been using coffee for a couple years now. I can say for sure my IBS has not been this happy in decades. Okay, message me for the dirty details. It's okay. I believe you. And I have many physical issues that seem less intrusive throughout the day. When I drink organo, I get these every day. I actually get more testimonials from people about their coffee than anything else. So I'm like, man, I should have just like, been doing this my whole life, right? Here's Sylvia. I just gave a workshop at her house, which is. Was a great success, and it helped her mom get rid of back pain. So the beautiful thing about this that I've noticed is many of us have been able to help a family member that has been struggling or has been looking for answers and not being able to find answers. How many of you have been able to help a family member through this product that wasn't able to be helped by any other method? Hey, look around the room. It's almost half of you. The other half haven't given it to your loved ones. That's it. Plain and simple. Okay, so give it to your loved ones. So some beautiful energy in those mushrooms. Thanks to Reco. I'll keep it up. What are you noticing? Because you always ask when you want to get a testimonial from people, you always ask right so then you can use it in your presentations like this. Clarity of thought for sure, but just the flood of good energy, bright and crisp vibes, and that makes sense. I've been run down since December, so it's been noticeable to feel good for the first time in a long time. And definitely more energy. Who thinks more people need to feel like this? Okay, who thinks that the coffee that people are drinking right now does this for them? Probably not, unless they're drinking this coffee. Okay, so real quick, here's a way to consume more medicinal mushrooms. Here's a miso soup recipe. I had this for lunch today. So fitting that it's in my presentation. My wife, you can pick her brain, she's an amazing cook. This is the recipe, so take a picture of it if you want. It's absolutely delicious. So she makes it using enoki mushrooms, some chives, garlic, spring greens, three sprigs of green onion, chopped, some miso paste, which is gluten and soy free, and mushroom stock, some tofu that's optional if you want, and then six to eight cups of water with cilantro for garnish. It's amazing. Okay, so you can incorporate other mushrooms into your diet. Reishi, from a consumption, excuse me, from a consumption standpoint, is actually very bitter. So what the company has done is they've de. Bitterized it, if that's a word, and they've put it into coffee. So that's why you don't taste the mushrooms, because they've actually formulated a way to eliminate that earthy taste or that really bitter taste that Reishi would have. And then you simmer this for 10 to 15 minutes. Here's how I get mushrooms into my daily routine. I'll have a latte occasionally, and then mainly my wife and I drink the King. And I'll share a King recipe with you in just a second. I use a five mushroom blend. So this adds the five medicinal mushrooms that I talk about in this presentation. And then I take the spores in the morning, I take the mycelium at lunchtime, and I take the ganoderma at night. And let me explain why. So in the morning, we need our. We need to be in our highest state of elevation, right? We need to be our clearest thinking, our sharpest thinking, so our mind is sharpest at that time. And so spores are really good for brain health, cognitive function, and they're really good at. It packs everything into your day. It packs all the information you need. The mycelium I take with my lunch because during lunchtime, your Digestive system has its highest energy. Okay, so your digestive fire and digestive system functions strongest during the day, and mycelium helps during the day. And then your detoxification system, your kidneys and your liver work really hard at night while you're sleeping. So that's why I take the Ganoderma lucidum, which is a fruiting body, at night. Does that make sense? So I just time it with my body's rhythm. Hasn't killed me yet, so it seems to be working right. All right. You always want to know your sources when it comes to mushrooms. So here's the thing. You can grow mushrooms in a garbage bag like this on wood chips or sawdust, or you can grow them naturally on wood. Which one do you think is going to be better for you to consume? Obviously, the one on the right. This one. When you grind it up into powder, it's going to be hard to tell the difference. And when you look at the label, it's going to be hard to tell because it's going to say USD organic certified. Because both of these can be USD organic certified. Just because we don't use chemicals on something, it doesn't mean it was grown under the most perfect conditions, does it? Okay. So Reishi would never grow naturally like this. This is the way it grows. So I want to know what's going into my food, especially if I'm going to be using it myself. But secondarily, if I'm going to be promoting it to other people, I want to make sure I know what's in this stuff. So this is something that is very important for us to know. As I mentioned, the mushroom industry is positioned to explode. We only now are fully understanding their power, and we still don't. I mean, there's 500,000 mushrooms, so this is a huge, you know, area of interest. And without mushrooms, we wouldn't be here. So it's obviously pretty cool when you think about it. They're highly sustainable. Okay. They're also very eco friendly. And mushrooms have a multitude of benefits. And they have little to no side effects. Of course, the poisonous ones do, but the medicinal ones have very few, if any, side effects. Mushrooms are food, they're medicine, and they're also teachers. We call them plant medicines because they can teach us higher levels of consciousness. So that's what I have for today. Does anyone have any questions for me? Yeah, of course, Yes. Go over some of the benefits of chaga. Yeah, so Chaga is great for your immune system. It increases natural killer cells and balance the TH1 and TH2 aspects of your immune system. So the way chaga forms naturally in the forest is that when a birch tree gets struck by lightning, let's say, and is damaged, then it signals to the rest of the forest that it needs help. And all the resources from the surrounding area are transferred through the forest mycelium. And then the mycelium is woven into the tree and it takes it up to the birch and forms like a scab. And that scab is basically all the nutrients concentrating from the forest to keep the tree alive. Yeah. So the inside is a nice, bright, like, yellow has betulinum in it. Anyway, that's too much information. Yep. Last time you were studying something about the amount of strength and mass, muscle mass. Can you just kind of elaborate on that? It had to do with. Yep, yep. Yeah, sure. So anyone here workout. Okay. Has anyone here noticed that since they've been using the products, they've gotten stronger? Okay. And anyone notice that they've gotten stronger without putting on a lot of new muscle? Okay. Lost weight and maybe even lost weight. So there's two parts. If you want to increase strength, there's two ways to do it. One way to do it, and the smart way to do it is to actually increase communication between the brain and the muscle. Okay. So if I want to curl, let's say I want to curl 50 pounds. If I want to curl that weight, there's two ways that I can do that. One is when I curl, I'm firing. The brain is signaling to the muscle, and I have a good connection. Yeah. I was just thinking about you. That's amazing. Wow. Sixth sense, right? Literally, I was just thinking about you. So you can increase strength by two ways. You can increase the nerve firing to the muscle, or two, you can increase the volume of the muscle. So which one do you think actually makes more sense? Remember, the body's smart. Which one do you think it would do? Do you think it's smarter to add on all this new muscle, or do you think it's smarter to maybe not add on new muscle Will make the muscle and nervous system work more efficiently together. Work more efficiently. Right. So people can be really lean and strong instead of having to be big and strong. So if you're losing weight or if you feel like you're leaning out a little bit and your strength isn't going down, that's actually your body getting smarter. Okay. Because when we look at weightlifting, what do we look for? We look for strength to weight ratio. That's how you win in powerlifting. Right. It's your weight to strength ratio. So the less you weigh and the stronger you are, or if you maintain your strength, that's actually a positive benefit. Does that make sense to everyone? Okay, perfect. Any other questions? Arlene?
I have a friend who absolutely believes that she would be allergic to as much from any other ones. So I'm not just sure, like, I'm convinced that you would alert, you know, be allergic to this, but is there something documented basis for that?
You know, some. Some people don't do. For whatever reason, some people don't do well with mushrooms. I don't have like a scientific explanation for it. But to say that you're allergic to mushrooms is like saying you're allergic to. Allergic to food. Right? Because there's 500,000 different types of mushrooms and each of them have different proteins in them. So most people, their palate for mushrooms is like one or two mushrooms, Right. They may have tried a button mushroom once on a pizza and now they think they're allergic to an entire kingdom of food or potential food. But here's the other thing I know is that somebody who thinks they're allergic to something will always have some sort of reaction to. Right. Because the mind always wins. So I don't know what to tell you about that. But, yeah, I would give her the mycelium because that's a different part of the mushroom because most people, when they eat mushrooms, they eat the fruiting body, which is like on a pizza or something like that. But they very rarely have consumed. She's never consumed mycelium, I can guarantee you that. So that's a different part of the mushroom and that comes in the capsule. So you can have her try one. Right. And it's immunomodulatory because mycelium is the immune system for the forest. So it's going to balance her immune system. And so that would be probably where I would start. Yep. You're welcome.
Francesca, how many capsules of the three different?
Two each? Yeah, two each. That's for me. You might get away with one, right? Or you might need four, but for me, I use two.
You're welcome.
Anyone else?
Just a comment.
I wanted to make sure.
I've been going to a community forest, a community garden, and I noticed one logs, but my camera was. But they've got a mushroom growing, looking similar to this on top of. Of just a square lock and I need to take a picture of it. There's one I saw. I saw black mushroom, darker one growing thick.
So this the other one.
Look similar to this but a lighter color.
Similar to what?
To Aubrey.
Oh, it's a Reishi. Yeah. Okay.
You know.
Okay, well, take a picture.
Take a picture.
Yeah, I'd love to see it. So the type of Reishi that grows in Ontario is Ganoderma sug. So it wouldn't be the lucidum, but it'd be interesting to see what it looks like. Is it. Does it have gills underneath it? You know, a little.
That close, but it looks pretty similar.
Was it growing on the ground or on a log? On a log. Okay. All right. Good to know. I'd love to see that. Yeah. Okay. Well, thank you, everyone. I appreciate you tuning in. I hope you found that beneficial.
