EP118: Get Quiet with Elaine Glass
26 Nov 2025 · 60 min
Podcast episode (EP118) in which host Sachin Patel interviews Elaine Glass about the practice of "getting quiet" as a path to self-knowledge, healing, and personal transformation. Key elements: guidance to settle (breathwork), the labyrinth as a walking/metaphor method to unite body and soul, the distinction between being quiet (shut down/conditioned silence) and getting quiet (conscious presence and self-love), client transformation examples, and Elaine’s description of an "eight energy points" modality tied to epigenetics and potential lab validation.

Hey, Sachin, and welcome to the Perfect Practice Podcast. It's my mission to use this podcast as a platform to help holistic, heart centered practitioners transform the world. I think we can all agree that the world needs more of what we have to offer now than ever before. And I want to take all the information and all the knowledge and experience that I've gained over the years and leverage the community and the contacts and the mentors that I've had over the years and share some of the most valuable nuggets that I've picked up over those years. I also want to bring special guests on so that they can share their valuable wisdom and knowledge with you as well. Each episode is going to be packed with valuable nuggets of information to help you grow, both personally and professionally, all while moving you towards more impact and more freedom. I'm excited that you're here. I'm excited that you want to grow and learn. So let's jump right in.
Hi, friends. In today's podcast episode, we're doing something totally different. So my dear friend Elaine Glass joined us in our mentorship call and we talked about getting quiet. In fact, we did something totally different from what we normally do. And we asked all of our audience members and mentorship clients to actually tune in while in nature on their headphones. No cameras, no chat, and really allow themselves to reflect inwards. In fact, during this conversation, my camera was off, Elaine's camera was off, and I had my eyes closed for most of the conversation so that I could go a little bit deeper, less distracted, more focused, and much more present. In fact, it was such a profound experience for me personally, I almost want to do all my meetings with my camera off and my eyes closed because I felt it was so much more powerful for me and I got a.
Lot out of it.
So what I decided to do is share this very special moment with you, with our podcast listeners, with all of you out there who are trying to become the best version of you, who are trying to listen to the voice that is inside each and every one of us. In order for you to do that, it requires a certain level of quiet. So much noise in our world, so many distractions. So with this episode, I'm going to invite you to do the very same. Put on your headphones, lay down in bed if you need to spend some time in nature, sit back, relax, get quiet, and pay attention to the dialogue and the conversation. Be present, and in the words of Ram Dass, be here. Now, enjoy this episode.
All right, so I'm going to assume that everyone is beautifully settled in your space. You've got your headphones on in a quiet space to stick with our theme today. So once you've shared your win, I'm going to invite you to close your eyes and get settled in.
Sam.
All right, let's take a few deep breaths. Breathe in, And just let it out with a sigh. One more deep breath in. And again, let it out with a sigh. Wonderful. All right, so without further ado, what I would love to do is invite my dear friend Elaine Glass to our stage, our digital virtual stage. Welcome, Elaine. Thanks for being here today.
Thank you so much, Sachin. It is such an honor and privilege to be with you and everyone. Thank you.
My pleasure. So what I'd love to do is give a quick introduction in terms of how we've met and why. I think that this is an important practice for all of us to have. And let's have an awesome conversation that people can really lean into. So really briefly, Elaine and I met through Michael Fishman. Michael Fishman organizes an event called CHS Consumer Health Summit. And I hope many of you benefited from Michael's generosity when you joined his interview with Mark Hyman that he was so kind to invite our community to. Elaine is behind the scenes oftentimes at chs, making sure that everything is working like clockwork and that the energy in this space is very intentionally created by her and Michael. Elaine is an author, and her book is called Get a woman's simple path to knowing who you are, Loving it and living it. The principles that we're going to talk about today are going to be applicable to whether you're a male or female. So what I want to do today is I want to get to know Elaine a little bit better, get to know and share her wisdom with you, and give you practical things that you can do to apply the strategy of getting quiet. You know, in a world where we are constantly being distracted, being able to focus, being able to get quiet is actually a superpower that we must work on actively developing. If we are byproducts of the environment we live in, then we start to quickly realize how loud and noisy our environments are and how loud and noisy, you know, marketing is, social media is. So getting quiet is something that we need to instill as a practice. And today we're going to talk about some of the benefits and things that you can do. So Elaine, just like many of us, has faced her own challenges and obstacles, and it's through those challenges and obstacles that she's overcome that she's going to be sharing her wisdom with us today. Elaine, welcome again. Thank you for being here and thank you for taking time out of your busy schedule to hold a space for us.
Thank you so much. And that introduction was just beautiful. So thank you. And it's really just a thrill to be here, to be spreading the message of get quiet. You know, for me, being in dentistry, my past life, my younger years, I was in dentistry for 27 years, as you know, and treated over 40,000 patients. And a mentor of mine sort of debriefed me after I was making the meaningful transition from dentistry into being a sage and guide to helping people access and connect to their soul. And she said to me, elaine, what did you learn after all those patience and sitting one on one with people and hearing their stories and seeing their lives and knowing their joys and their pain? I said, I just feel. The two words that came out were, I just feel like people need to get quiet. She said, wow, that's really meaningful. And I said, I know. Then I thought to myself, gosh, I think I need to also get quiet. I didn't quite know what that meant at the time, fully I do now. But it has been a decade long journey to that realization and developing that method. That's what I help people with so they don't have to take a decade to learn.
As you're sharing that, I'm visualizing people who you're probably working on in this dental environment who are trying to talk, right? Because the silence sometimes can be so deafening. And I know sometimes when you go to the dentist, they're trying to talk to you too. And it, it's something that we, doesn't come naturally to us, right? It's, it can be uncomfortable at times, but such a profound thing for all of us to practice is, is getting quiet. And sometimes that getting quiet could mean, I'm sure, being alone and in a quiet setting, or it could even be in a group and being quiet sometimes. There's a lot of downloads that we can receive and energy that we can receive from other people who are in a quiet environment with us and holding space for us. Elaine, what were some of your challenges and obstacles that you think some of the people here can probably relate to?
Well, early on, when I was in that what I call life life class, being in that tiny room in a tiny mouth with people, it really was my life class. And I learned so much about the human condition, the mental, emotional, connection to the physical, and I started to connect the dots to my own life and what I had been struggling with is autoimmune. I was in a very difficult marriage. I had two small children, so those were the early struggles. But I was beginning to see my own disease popping up at a very early age, in my early 30s. So that was concerning. Then I transitioned out of that marriage and became a single mom. And obviously, there's a lot of fear there. And when we are afraid, we speed up. And I think that's the problem. That was the problem in my life. When we speed up, we're really afraid. And that was where the noise of my life took sort of a grasp on me. And I thought, how can I lessen the fear? What can I do for myself and my children? How can I have more certainty? Well, it's funny because you get more certainty through the uncertainty of relaxing into uncertainty. Anyway, the other struggles were when I transitioned out of the marriage. Then I decided to bet on myself. I realized I was helping people more with their lives than really wanting to have the health of their teeth. I had done that long enough. I transitioned into being a guide. Of course, there was a lot of uncertainty and a lot of struggle creating a platform and all those things of, you know, being an entrepreneur and betting on myself and, you know, shiny objects here and there, because you'd go to conferences and be like, oh, I should be doing that, and I should be this. And financial struggles and a lot of obstacles of creating a new identity, I would say, were the things that I was up against the most. And again, this concept of the problem is that we speed up and we're afraid. And I thought, okay, I need to slow down. I need to slow down and relax into my brilliance. And that was the solution, and that's what I did.
Seems very contrarian, especially when you're working with entrepreneurs, because we're kind of stuck in this go, go, go. So it's great to hear this message, you know, and it's not until sometimes we burn out or, you know, we're just at our wit's end that we come to this profound wisdom, which is, you know, getting quiet. And I want to differentiate, just energetically, the difference between getting quiet and being quiet. Because many of us may be triggered by this concept of being. Being quiet because we weren't allowed to fully express our thoughts, our voice, or what was in our heart sometimes, and many times we keep that inside of us. So maybe you can, just for the sake of our audience today, discuss the difference between being quiet and getting quiet.
Yes. So being quiet, I know very well as well, because as a child, by nature, I was a quiet child. You might even describe me as an introvert, although I don't label myself that today, because I know the difference. Being quiet is somebody who is afraid, let's just say, is afraid. There's some fear there of a full expression. To be quiet is to maybe be under someone's rule of thumb where you have to be quiet and you can't fully solve, express, or you don't know yourself well enough to express yourself. Getting quiet is completely different. It's those moments where you do connect to a greater energy, for strength, for solutions, for answers, and to really access the greatness in you. I feel like today there's a. The enemy is mediocrity. And I believe in accessing our greatness, even if it looks crazy to others, because it will. And on some level it should. Because when we do get quiet, we access things that. Oh, my goodness, they're just so spectacular and. And you really begin to know who you truly are in those moments. If I did what you just asked me to do, that's how I would term those two.
The thought, the memory that's coming up for me was once when my son was probably about 4 years old, and he said that he was just staring out the window, and I caught a glimpse of him staring out the window as I was driving in the car. And I said, devin, what are you thinking about? And he said, nothing. That was his response, nothing. And I was like, wow, what a state of being, right? Not having anything on your mind, but just being fully present to the world around you and watching the buildings and the other cars and the clouds and all that stuff go by. And at first I was triggered. My initial thought was being triggered because I thought he was deflecting the question. But then what I realized was, no, he's actually not thinking about anything and he's fully present and he's got the right idea instead of me at that point where there's this constant voice in your head, this chatter that's going on in your head, and when you're speaking, you're not listening. So even when you're talking to yourself in your head, you're not listening to that higher self that's potentially speaking to you. So when we talk about getting quiet, is there a practice that you have, or somebody who might be listening to this might say, it's hard for me to do that. What is a way or a strategy or a methodology that we can lean into this and of course, work towards developing the skill of getting quiet.
And I will answer that by first saying that it is about honoring your life at the greatest and deepest level. This God given life. And I also want to just backtrack a bit and say, I know your son Devin. I think he is the, the most wisest sage of a young man that I have met in a very long time. And he actually just nailed exactly what get quiet is. It is about being present. And that's all it is about. No mind. You know, I've traveled the world trying to seek out quiet places. I mean, years and years of seeking quiet places. And really what I found was to honor my life, sit in a chair, be present to my presence is the greatest gift. And it's the greatest gift I can give myself. And to the world. There's a quote now I've forgotten who said it, but leisure is a valid human activity. If the listeners want to repeat that to themselves, I think it might be important. Leisure is a valid human activity. We were domesticated, most of us anyway. I was very loving. Way to be our best. And what that takes to be our best, to get an education, To go, go, go, to do, do, do. And at some point we do get burned out. When you said we do get burned out. And I once heard the definition of burnout. And the burnout is not just that you're going, going, going, but that you're not doing what you truly love and who you truly are. You're not being able to express who you truly are. And so that's why we burn out. I just, I really resonated with that when I heard that put that way. And so it's about waking up to a life that you're actually living now. You know, a lot of times, like we lie to ourselves. I know I did for I. And I do sometimes, you know, but it's like, how do I continue to wake up to the life that I'm actually living now? What decisions am I making, you know, what's serving me, what's not? And really living and honoring my life, trusting the voice I hear, admitting where I am, feeling that deeply. Because nothing can transform unless you actually deeply feel. And then that's when you engage in life in a different way. So those are the steps that I'd say, say that I began to take early on.
Elaine, have you ever done a vipassana retreat? Are you familiar with that? If not.
I have done. I know I have heard of it, but I have not personally done one.
Okay. So for everyone's benefit. I haven't done it either. I was scheduled to go, but then there was a tragedy in the family that prevented me from going. But it's basically a, a ten day silent retreat. And so you don't talk to anyone for 10 days. You're completely disconnected from the outer world and you go inwards. And so this kind of reminds me of that might seem extreme for some people because that's hard to imagine being completely disconnected for 10 total days. But we can practice this in micro ways in our day to day lives. So what I'd love to know is what are some strategies or what are what. Is there a process that we can go to or through in order to facilitate this? Because I would imagine that the five year ago version of me would be like, this is crazy, get quiet. Like I can't turn that voice off in my head. But now that I've developed a toolkit to help me get there, I love to hear your get quiet method and how we can start applying that into our lives.
I will make it as simple as I can because the book is pretty involved with the method. But basically it begins with your breath, which you are such a brilliant master of facilitating. What I am passionate about is getting back to a natural existence whenever possible. And I think that's why I love that we're all sort of in our relaxed natural states right now because it really starts with what exactly we're doing we're all doing right now. And it's connecting to that natural breath. Sometimes it's connecting to Mother Nature's breath. If you feel Mother Nature might have a breath, if you feel the universe could have a breath, what would that breath feel like? Or if you use God or higher power, matching your breath with that energy. And so that's the first, the first point in the book. I love labyrinths. And so the book is a metaphor of starting at the mouth of the labyrinth with this breath that we want to connect to, which is our own breath. It's a series of pathways not to, not to confuse somebody. That would be more of a maze, a labyrinth, if anyone's ever walked one, has a certain entrance, you get to a certain center and you walk out a certain way. The method is to walk the path of the labyrinth to the center. The center represents the body that entered the labyrinth, meeting the soul, which is in the center of the labyrinth. And the two of those uniting and converging, which puts you in a state of tremendous self love. And that's the method. And there's a lot that goes into the paths and you know, guidance to. To know what to do on certain paths to that center. But that's basically the basics of my method and how the book follows.
I love that. What a beautiful metaphor. I can definitely visualize that. You know, kind of walking that path inwards. To the essence of who we are. When I visualize that, I can see it. I would imagine that when we experience it. There is a feeling that we attain. Is there a way for you to describe that or put that into words? I would imagine it's different for everybody. But I'm curious if there's a feeling that's attained. When you get to that point.
When you get to the center.
Yes.
Oh. Oh. Well, you just. You almost made me just. I mean, the energy just. No one's ever asked me actually that question in that way. So it made me almost get teary. Because when you get to the center and unite with your soul. Because we live in our body so much. And we forget we really are souls in this human experience. And you get to the center with. Using the method that I. That I've come come to realize. It is. It's sort of like crossing a bridge. And you can never go back. You can never go back to the way you thought you were. The way that you thought, the way that you be, the way that you do it. Everything changes. Like, your brain just. Something clicks in your brain and you. And you're just a whole different person. And the things that resulted within me. Were just an unwillingness to deal with things that just didn't matter as much. And the things that I thought I should be doing. They weren't shoulds. They turned into, like. What do I really want to be doing and being. Primarily, everything changed when I got to the center with this method. And my life will never be the same. And the people that I take on that same path, their lives have changed too. So I'm grateful for that.
That's beautiful. It reminds me of a Wayne Dyer quote. And he says, when we change the way we look at things. The things we look at change. So our perception is such a powerful influencer of our reality. And we know this from quantum physics. Now, what I'd love for you to do is perhaps, since you mentioned transformations for some of the clients you work with. Can you share a story or an example of that, perhaps contrasting what before looked like. And what it looks like. For somebody to come out on the other side of this methodology?
Yes. Oh, there have been so many. They're all my favorites. And it's not me doing It. It's me. As you and your wonderful mastermind souls know that we are the guides where the sages to facilitate this for people. And so I would say that I had a woman who started the walk of the labyrinth, and she wasn't sure what she was doing. She was very confused, actually, when I told her to come meet me at the labyrinth, and I said, yeah, just trust me. I think you'll really enjoy it. So I think the resistance of something new startled her. The fact that she was at a church, because a lot of labyrinths that are churches, and that wasn't her vibe. So she had to get over that obstacle and that resistance. She just had a really hard time with losing the control of what was happening and surrendering to the experience. But she felt obviously that much pain and that she was ready and willing to do anything at that moment. And she trusted me, which, you know, our patients and clients do. So I would say that that would be the picture of her at the beginning. And when I walk with people this path, at first, I don't really tell them the method. I just have them walk the labyrinth because just energetically, as our body sways back and forth through the paths winding the way they do, the way they're set up, which is very, very ancient, circular, magical way, they get to the center, and on their own, they already know there's an energetic shift within them. When I saw her begin this energetic shift, and as she walked and finally got to the center, she just stood there trying to process what just happened. And she intuitively knew something happened. Like something really major happened. And she began to cry, and she didn't know why. And she came out and we sat down after, and she just shared her experience and how at a young age she had really horrible acne. And that became sort of her identity. Even though the acne now had all these years later had cleared up, she still saw herself as so ugly, she wouldn't be able to even be able to look at herself in the mirror while she put her makeup on. And the transformation for her was, she is so beautiful. My God, she said, I'm so beautiful. And so that's just one thing. I could name a million stories, but I just love that one. For a woman to feel beautiful, I love that.
As we all should, right? We're beautiful beings when we can see who we really are. And who we see in the mirror isn't always reflecting back to us, the essence of who we are. So we've got to really learn to look past that. But Also when we can, then the outside becomes much more beautiful because we're vibrating at a different frequency. And, you know, when we're confident, when we are present, when we are whole, the energy field around us completely changes. And, you know, the opportunities that are presented to us start to change. And the way our, you know, our patients feel in our presence, I'm sure, also changes as well. And I know that when Deepa and I are in your presence, we feel that, like, we can tell that there's, there's a frequency that you're emitting and it's a. It's attractive to be around. And I, and I want this for as many people as possible. It's actually interesting that you mentioned the labyrinth during our conversation because we never talked about that prior. But here's something that's so not coincidental. I know that there's a grand plan, but I'm actually going to do breathwork with one of our members, Rita, tomorrow. And it's at High park in Toronto. And, and they actually have a labyrinth there. So now, now I get to walk the labyrinth, hopefully with a handful of people from this community. So you can always go on Google. Don't do it now. But you can always go on Google and search labyrinths and type in the name of your city, and you can find a labyrinth close to you and start walking the walk. So, you know, I think it's. It's something that we can all have access to, especially after understanding the therapeutic benefits of doing something like this. I remember the movie the Labyrinth, which I know is totally different than this conversation. And I remember having a labyrinth as a little marble game when we were younger, but I've never actually walked in one. So I'm excited to put this knowledge into action tomorrow when I go to the park. Thank you for sharing that.
Oh, it's my pleasure. It's my pleasure. You know, I had similar obstacles when someone told me to go to a nearby labyrinth. In fact, this labyrinth that changed my life had been within a half a mile from my home for over 20 years, and I never realized it. So I finally went there. It was at a church and I finally went there because I was also in need of answers. And, you know, the world gets so small, so loud and noisy. As entrepreneurs, we have so much, like you said, at our feet in terms of opportunities and so many shiny objects that, should we go here, should we do this, should we be this? And I needed direction big time in my life. And every time since the very first time I got to the center of the labyrinth. Each time I hear a message, each time I hear a very clear message. And it's different than your overthinking mind. It's very clear, it's very certain, and it's a very knowing feeling or voice that you hear. And I began to see synchronicities in my life. Like this one time I got to the center of the labyrinth and I heard, you are not alone. I am here with you. Which I know I'm dating myself, but that's a verse in a Michael Jackson song. You are not alone. I was like, okay, well, that's a cool message. I'll go with that. I love that. I get back to my car, I turn the car on, and that song is playing when I turn my car on. I can't tell you the number of synchronicities that began to happen. And the signs that confirmed that the messages I was hearing in that state of walking the labyrinth and getting to the center were really guiding me. And I would say that I am here today at this point in my life because I trusted those messages and I took time to get quiet to hear them. Wow.
So how do we differentiate between that voice in our head that's, you know, constantly chattering for some people and myself? Certainly at one point in my life, I definitely couldn't shut it off. And now I have tools to be able to do that. How do you differentiate between that voice and the voice that you're describing now? Is there a feeling, Is there like goosebumps that you get? How do you know you're there?
And I was, I would.
I was going to say, with all the voices in our head, how do we know which one to listen to? Or is it through this process that those voices kind of get drowned out and we hear this loud and clear message?
Yes, the answer is twofold. It is through this process that you can get this clear tuning in. And I would say to the answer of what it feels like when you hear that voice, it is just pure love. And I think a lot of times the overthinking mind is not very loving. And so you really feel that love. It's like a mother's love speaking to you. And so it's a very different feeling. But this method is about how to get to that voice of love, of truly the voice that is our self love, our self loving voice, instead of our doubting voice and our scared voice and our I'm not enough voice, and I'm not smart enough voice. This is such a loving presence, a loving voice. And it's a lot about, we get there by cleaning and clearing out what weighs us down. A lot of the method is about how do we clear and clean out our environment, how do we clear and clean out our bodies, how do we clear and clean out our minds? We begin to have all these things just fall away and fall away. Pretty much. You're just this lightness of being where you can access this beautiful, beautiful loving voice.
Love that. So you've got a new energy modality. And what I'd love to know is how can, how can we all use this modality to feel good now?
When I began to hear this clear, loving voice, it was so exhilarating and it was so inspiring and I wanted to just stay in tune with that as much as possible because like you said early on, we are so distracted by so many things. And this came to me and you can call it channeling or intuition or whatever you want to say, but it came to me in a very clear voice. And it was came to me as eight energy points that we have in our bodies that basically shift the genomics of one's body. And I thought to myself, well, this is crazy, this is crazy talk. But like I said, if you're not thinking crazy, then you're not thinking big enough. So I thought, okay, well this is really big because I'm not like I'm in science, I have a science based background, but I'm certainly nowhere near knowing anything about genomics. And so I started channeling actually genomic sequencing about a year ago. And I only confirmed that I was when I sat down with. You might know Dr. David Sinclair of Harvard, he's a world renowned genomicist or geneticist. Genomicism, I don't even know the terms because it's so foreign to me. But we sat down to dinner back in April and he said, yeah, you've got something here. I want to know more and I want you to come to Harvard and test this out in my lab. That was pretty exciting. What this is, is eight parts of our body. They're bony parts and of course we're made of a lot of bones, so that's obvious. But these are not like the chakras, energy systems. These are actual bony parts of the body that we can scan our bodies and tune into to shift the genomics under the umbrella of epigenetics. So these all came as a download to me and they actually fit perfectly into the, to the book as well because there are eight of these center energy centers and there are Eight Paths of the Labyrinth. So that was pretty cool to be able to layer that into the book as well. But so did you want me to tell you about the eight areas of energy or what more did you want to know about that?
I would love to know those. I know that I will get a ton of emails if we don't answer that question. But before we do that, I would love to know, well, first, how much more validation do you need than David Sinclair inviting you to Harvard to come and discuss this?
Well, it was funny too because I didn't know who he was because I'm not on social media or the Internet much. And so Michael had to tell me. He's like, did you know that David Sinclair just invited you to Harvard? And I said, well, you have to tell me more because I don't really know who he is. So we got a giggle out of that.
That's quite, it's quite an endorsement. In fact, when you mentioned it, I got goosebumps. I'm like, wow, this is pretty profound. And it's probably so humbling for even him to meet someone who doesn't know him, right? Because in the longevity space and of course the genetic space, he's quite the rock star. So I would have loved to have been a fly on that wall. But I guess your book allows us to be a bit of a fly on that wall to unlock these eight points. So I'd love for you to jump right in and share what those are so that people can start implementing this.
Yeah, that would be great. So what's fun is the way that I talk about the energy points is the same path circuitry that you would walk a labyrinth. So it's all very healing because as you're going through these eight energy points, you're also walking that healing labyrinth as well. But the eight points really are. We begin at the top of the head. We begin down to the chest and heart region. We go down to the abdominal region, the life force, the womb area and all the organs. But the womb specifically for women, where all life begins. We go down into the hip region after that, where the emotions of where our emotions. We don't carry the weight of the world on our shoulders. I was shown that we carry the weight of the world in our hips, in the ilium, in those cup shaped areas. The emotions get pooled and stuck there. Then we go down to the tailbone area where I was shown that that is where we hold the greatest intuition. Then I was shown the leg area from the upper thigh to the base of where the leg meets the foot, particularly the kneecaps, and how we have stuck energy around the kneecaps. I was shown how to clear that energy, then I was shown the feet, then. It was funny because I stopped there in my conversation with David Sinclair. I stopped there, and he was so on track with me that the next thing he said, and the last point that I had even forgotten to tell him was he said, well, what about the shoulders? I said, that's the last point, actually. He was really tracking me. And I really appreciated that because the eighth point is our shoulders. The shoulders are the center of the labyrinth. The shoulders have this light beams that come out of the top of our shoulders that beam up to the very, very, very, very ends of the universe as far as you could actually project out as far as the universe you could imagine could ever go. And at that point, if there is something of finite, which I believe there's only infinity, but as far as you can go, let's say that energy goes out that far, those light beams out of your shoulders, and then that same energy comes back into our shoulders. That is such a profound sense of groundedness and security and safety and love. When he said, what about the shoulders? I was really excited to tell him about the last point of the shoulders.
That's beautiful. I don't. I don't know if you knew this, but Devin was born on August 8th. So, you know, when you mentioned the word on the number eight, I was like, oh, yes, maybe no surprise to you, but definitely we celebrate that. You know, eight is infinity. Right. And, you know, turned on its side. So that's so beautiful. So how did you end up going to Harvard? Has that happened yet?
It has not. It will. The end of the year.
Amazing. Amazing. So we'll have to circle back in a conversation to see how that went and what was uncovered through that process, because it's amazing. I'm so grateful to hear that, that you got to meet him, But I'm also really profoundly grateful that he's open and to receiving this type of information and applying it to the work that he's doing, because that's one of the things I feel like is very much missing in modern science. We've been so stuck in the hardware model of health and wellness and longevity, and there is this invisible force that kind of governs the universe that often isn't taken into account. And I think that this will validate that even further. So congratulations on that and excited to see where that takes this entire movement.
Thank you. I am too And I'm. Yes, I'm. He's very open to that. We talked a lot about the quantum field and all those, you know, things like telepathy and intention. So the world I live in and. Yeah, very open, very open to all that. So I agree, I agree. That's the main thing that I feel is missing. And for the physicians and sages and guides in the world who are holding space for patients and clients to begin to have those broader conversations and opening that up, it's scary. It's scary because you could get a lot of pushback. You could be called the quack and things like that. But to me, that's really where we're going to find the most healing for people to be able to heal themselves through those, through that guidance.
Now, one thing that I know you've. You've kind of done nicely for us as you walked us through the different points on the body. And what I'd love to know is like, have you identified, like, metaphysical reasons that people show up? I know that a lot of times when people come in, the old me would have been like trying to measure and quantify things and test, for example. But now the new me, this version of me at least, is recognizing that there's so many different reasons why this problem can show up here. And as a chiropractor and functional medicine practitioner, we can get really granular with the physical body and also the kind of the cellular body, if you will, and the mechanics of how the body works. But what are some metaphysical reasons that people might be showing up to our office that we can potentially identify or maybe investigate a little bit further so we're not barking up the wrong tree, so to speak?
I would say the metaphysical reasons is their intuition is guiding them to a mental, emotional ailment that's showing up now in your office as physical. And to help them connect those dots, I had Louise Hayes's book in my operatory for over 20 years. You can heal your life. And whether you subscribe to her method or not, it is a good first guide to helping understand why people show up with autoimmune or, you know, an eye problem, an ear problem, what, you know, whatever, whatever the physical is, the metaphysical, the emotional and the spiritual is that there's something that they haven't healed emotionally and mentally. So connecting those two dots first for yourself. Every time someone would come into my practice, I would, obviously, we all get their very in depth health history. I would go back to the book and be like, okay, well, what does she say about when someone has eyesight problems or hearing problems or celiac or inflammation of whatever, you begin to then can have a different conversation with that client or patient. Not just focusing on the disease, but the emotional and the mental that could be surrounding it. Again, very slippery slope. Not a lot of doctors are talking about this yet, but I know that in your world and the people on this connection line, I know that you are the people to begin this conversation and to change the way people heal on a much deeper cellular, spiritual level.
One thing that we talk about quite a bit, metaphorically speaking, and I think is relevant to this conversation, is that we are a combination of hardware and software and medicine has kind of been stuck in the hardware era. You know, that's why we and it. There's nothing wrong with that. Cause sometimes the hardware is where the software, you know, manifests its issues. So the hardware is the things that we can touch, the things that we can see, the scans, the blood work, the MRIs, X rays, so on and so forth. But it's amazing how the software plays such an important role. And in fact, the software tells the hardware what to do. And because it's difficult to measure, we oftentimes ignore it in medicine. And I would say that there is this grand awakening that's taking place. Perhaps I don't want to be assumptive and assume that it's not happening in the doctor's office, the traditional doctor's office, but I would say certainly the people who are collected here listening to this right now are very receptive and open to exploring what are the healing opportunities that are connected to our emotional being, the software compone component of who we are and how do we rewrite that source code or you know, clean up some of the junk code that's been installed by our, you know, our upbringing, our environment, the media, you know, all those other things that are, you know, installing malware that is then, you know, creating dysfunction in our hardware. And I love that you said that the hardware is what brings them into us, right, to then, you know, uncouple and explore where this problem may actually be rooted. So it is an opportunity for all of us to explore further with our clients, like, you know, looking at the psycho emotional aspects of where this problem might be rooted and that might be actually, you know, more of what they need. And certainly we can offer them, you know, hardware solutions, but we leave a lot on the table if we don't explore the software or the emotional components to what's contributing to their dysfunction. What I've realized and Maybe you can validate this is. This is why you can't cut disease out of people. Even cancer is many times return because we didn't change the software. The hardware just goes back to creating that tumor or creating that dysfunction. But when we do address the software, then we're rewriting that code and allowing that person to experience their deepest healing. And of course, when they come to see us in our practices, they're looking for a different answer. They're looking for a different script that isn't in the form of prescription, but perhaps the script that they're reciting consistently in their minds, or that subconscious script that's playing in the background that's sabotaging their health. So I'd love for you to unpack that a little bit, if you would.
I couldn't have said it any better. You're so eloquent. That's exactly right. And I think that was my main frustration in my health care years, was that we were just focused on the hardware. And I knew deep down inside that really what I wanted to help people with the most so that they could heal themselves was the software. But we, you know, it's funny, and this is kind of what the Get Quiet does, is for us as sages and guides for people's healing self healing is we ourselves have to connect to our own software, our own patterns, our own mentally emotional, and heal that within ourselves first. We a lot of times feel like we have the answers based upon education and things, but basically in the Get Quiet, we're really connecting to subtle energy. And when you can connect to that subtle energy for yourself and find answers in the subtle energy, you will recognize that in the room with your patient, it begins with us first, then we can see that and how to help and guide our patients.
I love that. Elaine, I know you've got this book and do we have a release date just yet?
I do not have a release date just yet.
Okay. Because when it comes out, I'd love to buy our, you know, our community a copy of it. So we'll definitely. Please let us know and we'd love to support your work, but also, more importantly, and just as importantly, really get this information into people's hands. Because I know that I need it. I know that, you know, many of the clients that are on this call need it. And the clients that we see that are coming to us for this type of healing opportunity, they need it as well. So please let us know. And in the meantime, how can we learn more or how can we support the work that you're doing. How can we bring this into our daily practice, if you will, I'd love to know what your thoughts are on that.
Walk the labyrinth, feel your self, love, hear that loving voice, and you'll bring that out into the world. And that's really all. All that I wish for.
Beautiful. Well, I'm going to walk that labyrinth tomorrow. I'm even more excited to do some breath work and then walk the labyrinth, or we'll see which one comes first, what the universe has planned for us. And thank you, Elaine, once again for taking time out of your day to spend it with us and share this beautiful information. I really enjoyed this process of not being on camera. In fact, I hope that everyone found a comfortable space that they were able to really lean in and sink into this information, because it is more of what we need. And you're really echoing the sentiment that we try to put out there within our community is that our transformation takes place when we're quiet and when we listen. When we continue to have that chatter in our head, we can't really learn anything new because we're repeating things that we already know or may not even know. But assume. However, when we listen, it gives us the opportunity to learn something new. One thing that I would love to know is when we do get quiet and we do hear that voice, sometimes that voice might not tell us something that we want to hear. And maybe you've encountered that or your clients have encountered that. It might be, hey, you're not married to the right person. Or it might be you're in the completely wrong industry. How do you handle that if something like that comes up?
Yeah, we have to face hard things. We have to. When we face hard. I think we're a society that's gotten maybe a bit soft in taking on difficult challenges or facing the life we're living now and hearing the truth. But with hearing that truth and taking it seriously and getting the tools and the resources to help us through whatever we hear that may not be pleasant, we gain confidence and courage. There really is only a benefit to face the truth of our lives instead of looking away. There's sort of an addiction to looking away at our lives. But I'm about looking at my life head on, the good and the not so good, so that I can be my best self.
Kind of like staring at the sun, right?
Yes. Yes, That's a great. That's a great metaphor.
Well, you're receiving lots of love. You know, let's share our appreciation in the chat with Elaine and let's bathe her with the equal amount. We can celebrate this knowledge and hopefully newfound skill set of being quiet. It'd be an interesting interview question for somebody looking for a job. What's your superpower like? Get quiet. Okay, you're hired.
Love it. Love it.
Well, thank you, Elaine. Is there anything that you want to leave us with before we jump off?
I want to just let your community know that I love them, I believe in them, and keep going because you are the ones who are changing this planet. And I appreciate you.
Thank you. And we appreciate you as well.
Thank you. Sa.
