Hey Sachin, and welcome to the Perfect Practice Podcast. It's my mission to use this podcast as a platform to help holistic, heart centered practitioners transform the world. I think we can all agree that the world needs more of what we have to offer now than ever before. And I want to take all the information and all the knowledge and experience that I've gained over the years and leverage the community and the contacts and the mentors that I've had over the years and share some of the most valuable nuggets that I've picked up over those years. I also want to bring special guests on so that they can share their valuable wisdom and knowledge with you as well. Each episode is going to be packed with valuable nuggets of information to help you grow both personally and professionally, all while moving you towards more impact and more freedom. I'm excited that you're here. I'm excited that you want to grow and learn. So let's jump right in. Hello, my friend, it's Sachin here. And in this video I want to discuss the abundance mindset. This is one of the most important mindsets that you want to adopt and is crucial and key to what I believe is your success and happiness and also the legacy that you leave behind. Remember, everyone around you is paying attention. Your kids are paying attention. So you're encoding either a scarcity or abundance mindset into them in every moment, in every action, in every opportunity that you have to express either abundance or scarcity. So I've got about 15 rules that I like to follow when it comes to abundance, and these are not in any particular order. And all I ask is that you perhaps pick one and then maybe two, and then you work your way up to all 15. But I promise you that you will have plenty of opportunities in each and every single day to implement all 15 of these. And key is, you know, maybe you want to write them down, but also the key is you want to be more conscious and aware of whether you are abundant in your thoughts, in your actions, in your behaviors, and also in your reflection as well. There is always opportunity for us to find abundance. And what I've learned over the years is you always find what you're looking for. And so if we seek abundance, we become abundance. We, we embrace abundance and we act abundantly. Then abundance flows in our direction. You know, in the quantum world, you attract not what you want, but you attract who you are and how you behave. So our actions act like an antenna to attract the right people, the right circumstances, the right opportunities into our lives. So, once again, no particular order, but I want you to identify the ones that land for you and make the most sense. The first one is the difference between an extractor and a multiplier. We want to be multipliers in our lives. And a multiplier is someone who can take one idea, one conversation, one training, and multiply its value. This is somebody who is equivalent to an individual who juices an orange and plants the seeds right, so we can have what's available to us in the moment. But if we carefully pluck the seed out of the orange or carefully pluck the idea out of the conversation, then guess what? We can plant a seed and nurture it, water it, you know, provide it with the right environment in order for it to thrive. So eventually, not only do we have orange juice in the immediate future, but we also have oranges which, which create abundance in our lives. An extractor is somebody who joins a program or who reads a book and doesn't feel like they got value until they've read every single word in the book, or somebody who doesn't feel like they got value from a training unless they've attended every single training. See, this person has the wrong attitude. They have the wrong mindset. They have a scarcity mindset because they feel that the value is caught up in extracting every drop of orange juice out of the orange. And these are people that miss the seed. They don't even look for the seed because they're so focused on the orange juice itself. They're so focused on what they can get immediately. Instead of realizing that abundance is something that spirals fractally into the future, an extractor is always disappointed. An extractor can never get all the juice out of the orange. So they live in this state of scarcity. And guess what? When the juice runs out right, there's nothing for them to show for. They have nothing to show for because they drank the juice. Whereas if they had planted the seed, then at least they know they have an abundant future. Should they provide the right conditions for that seed to grow? So ask yourself, in your attitude, in your behaviors, in the courses and trainings that you're taking, are you acting like a multiplier or are you acting like an extractor? I hear this over and over again, even in clients that I coach. And it's quite unfortunate because they say, satchin, I can't attend all your trainings, and so I don't feel like I'm getting the value. Meanwhile, I may have shared things or our trainers and coaches and Mentors may have shared things that have been worth millions of dollars, but they've glanced over them because they're so focused. Again, not on the seeds, but on the juice. So which one are you after? And you can have both. When you have an abundance mindset, you can have your juice and you can have an orange tree as well. The next is something I learned from, uh, the godfather of preeminence. His name is Jay Abraham. And if you're in the marketing world, you definitely know who he is. And if you're not in the marketing world, then you're not a marketer if you don't know who he is. Jay has helped grow many companies to billion dollar valuations and has done over $20 billion in sales with the companies that he's worked with. He's worked in over a thousand different industries. So when Jay talks, everyone listens. And he shared something recently with me at a conference that I went to, and he didn't call it the quantum handshake, but I'm going to call it that. So think about how you greet people, how you connect with people, and how you show up when you meet somebody new or somebody who's familiar to you. So I'll describe to you the different layers and levels of greetings and handshakes. So we want to always use what's appropriate culturally for the individual and you and of course, for the relationship that you have with the person. But, you know, a level zero handshake is kind of the dead fish handshake, where you're not even looking the other person in the eye and you're perhaps even looking over their shoulder for the next person's hand to shake. You're not fully present and making eye contact and energetic contact and entanglement with that individual. You're just simply not there. You're dead weight. So that dead fish handshake is a level zero handshake. The next level up from that would be a firm handshake, being fully present and looking that person right in the eye and acknowledging them for who they are. Okay? So saying hi to them, greeting them in a culturally appropriate manner, shaking their hand, and not just, you know, shaking their hand and letting it go, but really embracing that engagement with that person. Again, whatever is culturally appropriate. The next level up from that would be a level two handshake, and that would be where you do a hand sandwich. So you shake their hand and. And you put your hand underneath theirs, and of course, on top of theirs. Now, a layer up from that would be doing that exact Same thing. Perhaps putting your hand on their shoulder, if it's appropriate. And in addition to the handshake that's firm and appropriate, and also with the hand sandwich, for example, you would pay that person a compliment, a genuine compliment. It could be, hey, I love what you did with your hair today. I. I love your earrings. I love your sweater. Okay, none of this takes any additional effort on your part, doesn't take any additional time, but it immediately creates an opportunity to leave this person better than you found them. And I promise you, it's very unlikely that anyone else has created such a memorable engagement with that individual. So you're showing up with an abundance attitude. You're abundantly expressing your gratefulness for that individual, and you're actually creating an opportunity for them to feel valued and loved and also recognized. You know, when we show up at meetings or conferences, you know, there's a lot of careful consideration that everyone takes in what they're wearing, how they did their hair, how they did their makeup, what earrings they chose, the necklace they chose. And to recognize that person is to truly see them. And that creates a memorable engagement and energetic entanglement with that person. Again, always culturally appropriate. Now, when I hug people, because that'll happen if I haven't seen someone for quite some time, and I'm somebody who loves to hug people instead of shake their hands, one of the things that I will do is I will ensure that we go heart to heart, and there's a firm squeeze that takes place. And also, I pay that person a compliment with a big smile, looking them right in their eyes. And so something like that can make all the difference in the world. There's very few people that actually pay as close attention to how they engage with somebody. And you can make all the difference in the world. One way to practice this is even without the handshake, right? If you're checking out your groceries at the grocery store, if you're at the gas station, if you're just meeting someone, a stranger, pay that person a compliment. You never realize the ripple effect that that can have. And guess what? You'll feel better yourself. So there's. Without even having to be selfish and doing it for yourself, you're gonna feel better, they're gonna feel better, you're gonna put a smile on their face, and guess what? That's gonna make that person's day so much better. Next is leave people in places better than you found them. And that ties into what I just talked about with the compliment. You know, when I eat at a restaurant, I clean up after myself. I know there's gonna be a waiter. I know there's gonna be somebody that's gonna come up and clean after us. But I wipe down the table, okay? I tuck in my chair, I stack my dishes, right? I separate my utensils because I know that somebody is there to do their job. However, my job is to leave every person in place better than I found them. When I go to a hotel, you know, not only do I clean up after myself, I strip the bed sheets, right? And I leave them in a pile. I put all the towels in a pile. Yes, I know someone's job is to clean up after me. But guess what? I can make that person's job easier. At one point, believe it or not, that was my job. My parents owned a motel, and I was that person. Stripping the beds, doing the laundry, taking the towels. And it's crazy to see how people would leave these rooms, you know, completely trashed, garbage all over the place. And so being on the receiving end of opening up a room like that, I understand how hard people work, and I understand how simple things that just take a few minutes can make that person's life feel better. They can feel appreciated. And one thing that you can do, you know, in the example of a hotel room is, I'll talk about this later, is leave a generous tip and leave a note that makes such a huge difference. Again, you may never interact with that person, you may never even see them, but you're acting abundantly. How would an abundant person act in a situation like this? They leave people and places better than they found them. You will be memorable. You will be unforgettable, and you will make that person's day. Number four is stop playing victim. It's hard to play victim and have an abundance outlook on life and an abundance of opportunity coming your way. Abundance runs away from victims, right? Victims are always finding a way to blame somebody else, to blame their circumstances and never take ownership over what's happening in their life. And. And I see this all the time. You know, I coach entrepreneurs, and they're so quick. Sometimes, not all of them, but the ones that understand the abundance framework are certainly not. But some of them. And we can see the patterns, unfortunately, where they play victim. And as a result of playing victim, guess what? Energy and abundance do not flow their way. So ask yourself, when you're playing victim, you know, poor little old me, why me? Why? These are victim words. Ask yourself, how can this be the best thing that ever happened to me? How can I take the Lemons and turn them into lemonade. How can I add some creamer to my coffee, right? Instead of, instead of having to drink it in a bitter way. Stop playing victim. It never attracts abundance. Nobody likes to hang out with you. Nobody cares about your victim mentality. You don't leave people better than you found them. You drain the energy out of them. You're an energy vampire and guess what? Frankly, you suck. Right? Victims suck. So if that triggers you, it probably applies to you. And you know, it's important to recognize when we're playing victim versus when we're being in an abundance mindset because victims frankly have a scarcity mindset. Number five is to trust the journey. So you know, it's easy for us to get caught up in that victim mindset when things don't necessarily go our way. However, you have to trust the process. The universe has a magnificent plan for you that you may have little to no awareness of. So trust the journey, trust the process. There's a quote that I love that my sister in law put on our fridge many, many years ago when we lived together. And it said everything works out in the end. And if it hasn't worked out, it's not the end. You know, no matter what level of planning you do, it's rare. I haven't had it ever occur where everything goes exactly as planned. Right. Although we achieve the outcome, we might get to the destination. It's rare that things go exactly as planned. So part of life is trusting the journey and trusting that the turns and twists that present themselves are part of that journey. Remember, there's no straight lines in nature. You'll never find a perfectly straight tree, a perfectly straight branch. You know, there's roughness and that roughness creates richness. So we have to embrace it as opposed to having the expectation that everything is going to be perfect. And that goes along with having an abundance mindset, is trusting that the universe, which is abundant by design, has a plan for you. Number six, never show up empty handed. So if you're going to somebody's house for this first time, it doesn't have to be an expensive elaborate gift, but never show up empty handed. Okay? If you're getting a ride with somebody, you're carpooling with somebody, never show up empty handed. Right? Call them in advance and say, hey, I'm grabbing some coffee, I'd love to know what you want. Don't ask them if they want coffee. Right? How we phrase things is also important. Don't even give them an opportunity to say no. Ask Them what they want, okay? Show up with snacks, right? Pay for gas. How can you show up without being empty handed, okay? Because guess what? People are not expecting that. However, I promise you they appreciate that and it says a lot about you when you show up with an abundance mindset. So if you're getting a ride with somebody, pay for gas, you know, buy the snacks, pay for coffee, buy that person dinner, right? How can you show up more abundantly to reciprocate the favor that that person is giving you? If you're going to somebody's house, right, you might call in advance and say, hey, I'm grabbing dessert. What should I bring? Right? Don't say, should I bring dessert, say what should I bring? What's your favorite dessert? What do your children love? Okay? Show up with something in your hands and that makes a huge difference. I love bringing people artwork. That's the thing I love bringing them the most because I know they're going to hang it up somewhere and, and it'll be part of their lives forever. Number seven, empty your cup. So if our cup is full, right, Imagine this. You're walking around with a full cup of coffee and there's no room for creamer, right? When you go to Starbucks or a coffee shop, they ask you, would you like room for creamer? Because they want you to be able to decide how much you want. Now if they fill it up all the way, then there's no room for creamer. So every day we have to empty our cups a little bit so others can pour into us, the universe can pour into us. So part of that is having humility so that others can pour into you. And you know, one of the things that emptying your cup does is it ties into number eight is to create a vacuum, right? Create a vacuum of opportunity. So energy comes your way. Now ways that we can create a vacuum which can be important and valuable is clear up your calendar, okay? Clear up your calendar so that you can have room for opportunity. People who are over scheduled don't even have room for opportunities. How about you clean up your closet, right? If you want new clothes to flow in your direction, we've got to create a vacuum, right? We've got to create some lack in order for abundance to flow in our way. The universe hates vacuums. It always fills vacuums up. But we have to empty our cup, empty our closet a little bit, empty our calendar a little bit or a lot, depending on what you're doing, in order for abundance to flow our way. Number nine is always send a follow up. So if you interact or engage with somebody, meet somebody for the first time, send them a follow up message, okay? Take a picture with them as a gentle reminder and a nudge in your photo album, or even instantly send that person a text message and check in with them. If you're thinking about that person, check in with them and say, hey, it was so great to meet you, really enjoyed our conversation. Let's stay in touch or let me know how we can collaborate or let me know how I can pour into you. Let me know how I can be supportive of you. If there's any introductions that you'd like me to make, if there's anything that you're working on, I would love to learn more. Keep me in the loop, okay? That's how we show up abundantly now. When we show up with a giver's gain attitude, then guess what? The universe will always send abundance in our direction. But if we show up with a scarcity attitude, then guess what? The universe does not like that. Right? These are just universal laws, so don't shoot the messenger here. So always send a follow up and maintain relationships. You just never know when you can pour into that person or when they might be able to pour into you. And number 10 kind of ties into this is genuinely be supportive. You know, don't blow smoke up people's butts. As they say, genuinely be supportive. And it doesn't have to be, you know, chopping your arm off to help somebody. Sometimes supporting could be sharing a post online. Sometimes supporting could be making a referral or an introduction for that person. Sometimes it could be just commenting on their social media feed and giving them an endorsement or writing them a review. How can you be genuinely supportive of businesses that you patron and, you know, entrepreneurs that you might know who are operating businesses? How can you be supportive of them? Or how can you be supportive of your friends and family members? There's lots that you can probably do regardless of what industry or field that you're in. Number 12 is, or I guess number 11 is to send them a thank you gift or note. This day and age, people's inboxes tend to be pretty full. So a thank you email, while it goes a long way, is a level one. You know, level zero is not doing anything. Level one is sending them, you know, an email which kind of gets lost. Sometimes they may not even receive it. Level 2 would be sending them a text. Level 2.5 would be sending them a voice note. Okay. And level three would be sending them a handwritten card or A thoughtful gesture, something like that can go a remarkably long way. And because people's mailboxes are pretty empty these days, unless they're buying something, it's rare that they're going to get a card. A handwritten card is, you know, a level 3.5. And certainly there's services that we use, like send out cards where you can send a note and or a gift that goes along with it. Number 13 is eliminate all the moaners and groaners in your life, right? So the people that play victim, the people that complain all the time, the people that just have negative news and our negative Nellies or negative Nelsons, get rid of them. Okay? On Facebook, you don't have to unfriend them, but you can unfollow them, right? If somebody's face or somebody's profile or somebody's posts continuously trigger you and take you out of an abundance mindset, then guess what? You don't have to follow these people. You can unfollow them and tell Facebook you don't want to see their posts and you can still remain friends. Totally. Okay? But you want to clean up your feeds. You want to clean up, you know, your speed dial numbers. You want to clean up your list of people whose faces and posts and things like that that you're going to see on a regular basis. Because, you know, misery loves company, but so does abundance. Abundance loves company. So hang around with people who think and flow and feel into living abundantly and mirror their behaviors. Watch what happens. Okay? I've learned from some of the masters who are, you know, unconsciously abundant. The first time I met my friend Joe Polish, I was speaking at a conference, and he took a bunch of us to lunch, and guess what? He paid for it without us, without even giving us a chance to pull out our wallet list, without creating a scene, he simply went to the restaurant owner, took care of the bill, and we were good to go. And I was like, wow, I just met him. What an abundant giver. And so you'll find me if you're ever having lunch with me, it'll probably be what I do because I've learned and modeled from other individuals. Number 13. Be unusually happy and blissful, okay? People who have an abundance of, you know, things in their lives have an abundance of joy in their lives. And, you know, this kind of brings up the attitude or the mentality sometimes fake it till you make it. And now I'm not a big proponent of that. But if faking it till you make it means that you're Faking being blissful and joyful, then so be it. Because you can only do that for so long. When you have a smile on your face, your chemistry in your body completely changes. When you start showing up happy and blissful at a restaurant or at a social engagement or even at home with your children, it gets people's attention, right? So pay attention to your energy and how you're showing up in places. Number 14, leave a tip. Okay? Be generous with how you acknowledge people now, a tip could be a. You know, it doesn't have to be financially exorbitant. I'm not saying to be ridiculous, but be generous, okay? In my house, we don't really eat out that often. I know how hard people work. So when I go to a restaurant, you know, I tend to be pretty generous with the way I tip people. I know everyone is trying to put food on their table, and I'm grateful that they're putting food on my table at the restaurant so I can enjoy it. And I also recognize that, you know, everyone's doing their absolute best. So leave a tip. You know, if you're staying at a hotel, leave a tip, right? Yes, I know they're doing their job, and I know there's tip fatigue and things like that that are going on, but, you know, tip fatigue is for people who have scarcity mindsets, right? When you give, there's always more, right? When you live in a scarcity mindset, there's always scarcity. When you live in an abundance mindset, there's always more. And one phrase that I love that my mentor Majeet taught me is, it's just money, right? And what is money? Money is energy. So it's a representation of energetically how we show up in the world. Now, I hope these tips are helpful for you. I hope there was one thing in there that you can identify that you could show up in many ways to be more abundant. And I hope that this gives you an opportunity to be reflective, but also to take action. Remember, it's not the thought that counts. It's not thinking about abundance that counts. It's the action steps that you put into place that truly, truly matter. So I'd love to hear how you apply this framework. I'd love to hear what you found to be most impactful and most beneficial. And I'd love to also hear over the next few weeks and months how being more abundant in your life has created more abundance for you. Have an amazing rest of your day. Lots of love, lots of gratitude, Wishing you well, wishing you abundance and, of course, health and happiness. Bye for now, Sam.
