Hey, Satchin, and welcome to the Perfect Practice Podcast. It's my mission to use this podcast as a platform to help holistic, heart centered practitioners transform the world. I think we can all agree that the world needs more of what we have to offer now than ever before. And I want to take all the information and all the knowledge and experience that I've gained over the years and leverage the community and the contacts and the mentors that I've had over the years and share some of the most valuable nuggets that I've picked up over those years. I also want to bring special guests on so that they can share their valuable wisdom and knowledge with you as well. Each episode is going to be packed with valuable nuggets of information to help you grow both personally and professionally, all while moving you towards more impact and more freedom. I'm excited that you're here. I'm excited that you want to grow and learn. So let's jump right in. Hello, my friends, and welcome to another episode of Perfect Practice. Today I get to speak with somebody who I have grown to admire over this past year, somebody who's been very influential in our mentorship program and somebody who is making a huge impact with his heart in everything that he does. And this is Michael Smith. Michael, thanks for joining me today.
Thank you for having me. I'm happy to be here.
Well, I'm super excited to share this time with you and to share your vision and your mission with the world. I do want to start by reading your bio because there is so much here that we can unpack during this conversation. So, first of all, Michael Smith is the heart health guy. His research into the heart of heart health led him to the idea that heart, heart health and Earth health are inextricably connected. Both words are practically identical, as well as having the same letters. I didn't know that. I knew that now that I see it, but I didn't know that until Michael pointed that out to me. And it's something that most of us have probably never realized. So thank you for bringing that to my awareness. Michael recently launched his new Web3 community called Matriots, and we'll talk more about that in this conversation. And his goal is to bring heart health and heart centeredness to everyone on the planet. Matriots are like the patriots of a country, except matriots stand for the whole Earth. I love that. Matriots are the 7.9 billion passengers and the crew of the spaceship Earth. So let's go on this rocket ride together, my friends. Michael thanks for being my co pilot today and sharing more about your vision, your mission, and how working together collectively, we can make all the passengers of this beautiful planet healthy and whole once again.
Well, again, thank you for having me. And before we start any journey, we should have a seatbelt warning. As we get on a plane, we are often given this warning. But to realize that our Earth is spinning 1,000 miles per hour at the equator, that's fast. That's nothing compared to 67,000 miles per hour, 107,000 kilometers per hour that we're traveling in our orbit around the sun. That, again, is nothing compared to the 500,000 miles per hour or 800,000 kilometers per hour that we're expanding from the center of our galaxy. So if you don't have your seatbelt on, grab onto someone. We're cruising. We are at full sail on this ship, but because we're not accelerating and it's a constant speed, it feels like we're just sailing smoothly.
Right. I love that, I love that visual. Like we're literally spiraling through space into the unknown, but to the known, right? That's the thing. Like we're, we're traveling from who knows.
Where to who knows where, you know.
And I think, I think our heart knows where. I would, let's, let's put that out there. What do you think?
I would, I would certainly hope that our heart and our Earth know where. And there's an intelligence to both that is the same, that is, is the intelligence that, that beats our heart, that fills our lungs, that animates all of life and animates our planet itself and the heart of our planet. And the idea that our planet is alive, I absolutely believe, and it gives all of us life. But we'll get more into that in a minute.
Well, let's get into your story. So as the heart health guy, where do you, does your fascination with the heart start?
Well, unfortunately, with a tragedy. Last year, I lost my brother to an unexpected cardiovascular event at the age of 52. He was the epitome of health. He was actually out mountain biking with his sons when he had a cardiovascular event. The fact that our lives are, are so fragile, that can be taken at any moment from a health issue to an accident, and that it shook me to my core. And how can my brother, who was always so healthy, and he was even earlier in his career, a thoracic icu, a heart nurse that worked with people and knew everything that, that he should be doing but wasn't. A lot of people are in that Same boat. But it's led me on a journey over the last year and a half to first of all, identify my own risk factors and to change, make lifestyle changes myself. And I've implemented changes that have absolutely saved my life and I know would have saved my brother's life, too. And these same changes will save not only everybody's life. Let me rephrase that, because no, it's not going to save your life. We're all going to die. But you will have a more fuller, active, vibrant life and on average, 10 more years than people who don't do anything about their heart health. Not only will it save your individual life, but living this type of lifestyle may save everybody on the planet's life. Because by doing what is healthy for your heart and individual is the healthiest and greatest thing that each of us can do for the environment and for the longevity and the viability of humans on the planet. That planet is not going to die. It is going to keep on going. But whether there are humans on it or not is debatable. Or we are in possibly the sixth great extinction. They say if the ice shelf in the Antarctic collapses, the seas could rise 10ft in a day and millions of people will die. Millions of people would become climate refugees and our world would be in complete and utter chaos. And I hope that doesn't happen. And the only way that, you know, and I don't mean to scare, I don't want to, you know, we don't need any more facts or figures in our heads. We need more love in our hearts, love for ourselves, love for our fellow human, love for our mother, love for the Earth, and we'll survive.
Yeah, I love that. You know, it's always a great reminder that we are a microcosm of the macrocosm. And there's this big push for preventing climate change and protecting the Earth, which we should all be doing. However, I feel like we externalize the solution when the solution is probably something that starts within us, inside each and every one of us. What are your thoughts on something like that?
That's exactly right. In fact, there's two climate crises we're facing right now. One is internal and the other is external. And by internal, everything going on inside of your skin, most of humanity right now is inflamed from their cheeks to their cheeks from what they are consuming on a daily basis and the way what's. What's being provided. The standard American diet includes 60% processed food and 30% meat and 10% of fruits and vegetables. If we Change that around and consume more fruits and vegetables than even predominantly even have a whole food plant based diet and eat less to no animals. Not only will our body respond better, the second greatest cause of climate change right now is the animal agricultural industry. If we could lessen that impact on the environment, then we don't need to sequester the carbon that's emitted from it and everything else. The first cause is buildings, and mainly the production of cement and buildings. And the third is the transportation. So here's the great thing. If you want to start a recycling project, you need to get a lot of people to do it. I'm not saying don't do it, but you just need to get a lot of people to make that impact. If you decide to live healthy, you get the immediate benefit by being healthy. Literally in 30 days, your body holds no grudges. Within 30 days, 60 out the outside, you will experience more vitality, more energy, living with less weight and less inflammation. All of my Biomarkers, I lost 35 pounds in 30 days. My inflammation dropped by 72%. My cholesterol went from 263 to 136. My doctor asked, how did you do that? You're the doctor. Why didn't you tell me to do this instead of recommending a pill? If we address the causes of our internal inflammation, our internal climates, it automatically is solving the external challenges that we're facing as a planet.
I love what you said. Your body holds no grudges. That's really powerful. And you articulated something that we try to share with our clients as well is your body's not resisting you. Being healthy, it's not going to fight you trying to get rid of your diabetes. In conventional medicine, the language that's used is so charged in such a negative way. We call things like the war on cancer, right, or the battle or the fight against. When your body's not fighting you, in fact, it's doing the exact opposite. It's the only thing that's working for you right now to, you know, to handle the assaults that we're putting on it, whether they be us doing it knowingly and abusing that innate intelligence that you so elegantly described, or whether we're doing it, you know, unintentionally and unknowingly, you know, our body's always there supporting us and not fighting for us, but working for us as it has from the moment we were conceived to the moment we will be, you know, pass on and move on in whatever form. You know, each of us individually believes in. But I think it's important for us to recognize that your body wants you to be healthy. And being healthy should be like rolling a boulder down a hill. When you really think about it, it shouldn't feel like rolling a boulder up a hill. And you describe 30 days. So what are some things that people can do in that 30 day window to start moving their health in the right direction?
So we have a program called 52 Heart, which is a program that we teach you everything you need to know about how to make the transformations in your life to be able to experience a new you, literally. And it starts off with looking at your nutrition and what you're eating. We teach you what are the best things for you and your body. Well, let me just say this too, that your heart is not just a pump. Our heart is also a battery. There's 60 times more electrical bioelectrical energy in our heart than in our brain. There's more bioelectrical impulses by way of transmission on the parasympathetic nervous system, on the vagus nerve, from the heart to the brain than there is the other way. Throughout our body. Our heart is responsible for sending oxygen to every cell in the body, for sending nutrients to every cell in the body, for sending bioelectrical energy to every cell in the body. And so if we back up a little bit and just look at the nutrition or the metabolic process, and metabolic is a long word that most people don't know what it means. It's the process of changing food into energy. Really, that's also misleading because energy can neither be created nor destroyed. So it's actually the process of changing energy into energy. And when you look at what you're eating, are you eating clean energy? What is the cleanest energy we have on the planet? Well, it's solar energy. Solar energy. We capture it using photovoltaic panels called solar panels to power our homes and cars, which is a renewable, sustainable source of energy. We have another solar battery, solar powered form of energy on the planet, which is called photosynthesis, where we are also capturing photons from our star, the sun, through the process of photosynthesis in the battery form of fruits and vegetables. When you consume these fruits and vegetables, you are actually consuming light, stored light from the sun. You are a being of light. This is one of the greatest ways you can power your body is with pure sunlight through the photosynthesis process. When you eat something, ask yourself, is this a plant or did it come from a plant? That's the simple indicator of what should go in your mouth and what shouldn't? If it's a plant, yes. And if it came from a plant, probably no. There's a lot of processed chemicals, additives and preservatives in there to preserve yourself as well. But as far as the nutrition goes, the 52 heart program also we focus on increasing your heart rate through movement, decreasing your heart rate through stress reduction, yoga, meditation, and bringing your heart rate down, opening your heart with love and compassion. The greatest indicator of longevity is if you have heartfelt heart centered relations of people who love you and you love. There was a study done, Harvard study on longevity. The single greatest indicator was having heart loving relationships. There's another study that was done with rabbits and cholesterol. They were feeding them high cholesterol diets to then induce heart disease, to then use different drugs for testing. There's a cohort of rabbits that didn't develop heart disease. And they were wondering why they were being fed the same diet as all these other rabbits, why they investigated into what was going on. The lab tech responsible for feeding these, this one group of rabbits was taking them out of their cages, playing with them, petting them, talking to them, and socializing with them. And none of them developed heart disease. So if you have someone who takes you out, socializes with you, pets you, and tells you all the good things about you, you won't develop heart disease either, based on this particular study. So open your heart, focus your heart on your passion and purpose, and finally to rest your heart through adequate sleep. So that's the heart program and we're also thinking about calling it the 52 Earth program because that's what's best for the Earth too. The greatest gift, the greatest gift that any of us can give to this world is to present ourselves at the peak of our wellbeing. Think for a moment of who is the healthiest person that you have personally met in your life. And hopefully you come to mind yourself. And if not, think about that person and what they do to engage themselves, to have, what kind of practices they have to be able to present themselves in such a way to impress upon you of being the healthiest person that you know. And what if we all presented ourselves not at the peak of just our physical health, but also the peak of our genetic health by having practices where we don't activate our genetics, that our genetics, epigenetics and our predispositions to genetic diseases don't get activated because we have relaxation and stress reduction processes that don't activate those genes. What if we're at the peak of our mental health, what if we were at the peak of our vocational health? We loved our jobs. What if we were the peak of our financial health? We had the finances and means. The greatest indicator of heart disease is poverty. If you're eating off the dollar menu anywhere in this world, you're not going to be in good health. What if we had the peak of our cardiovascular health? And what if we were the peak of our social health? We had good relationships with our friends and families and love them. What if we were at the peak of our environmental health, that we lived in clean, safe communities and that just rippled throughout the world and so we had a healthy environment globally. And what if we were at the pe of our spiritual and universal health? And this is what the matriots are about are those who want to be, who are and want to be this type of example and light to themselves, to their families, to their communities in the world.
You know, when you put it this way, it sounds so poetic, right? And I think that you and I are both on board with creating this world and activating that inner healer so that we can all show up in the best possible way for our friends, our family and of course for ourselves. What do you think is holding people back? Because there's a lot of things that have to be in place. What are some of the key things that you find is holding people back? Because I don't think anyone would argue that they don't want what you just described. But what are, what's the pushback that you get from people?
Huh? Quite a bit. Obviously the biggest pushback is, I think, the idea that it will never happen to me, I am invincible, and people haven't received a wake up call. There are roughly 800,000 heart attacks in the US every year. 600,000 of them are first heart attacks. 40% of them people don't even survive. That's roughly 240,000 people. Their first sign of any type of heart disease is death. Really our whole cardiovascular health system and the American Heart association are only looking at people who actually survived their first event. And primary prevention needs to start sooner than later. Right now if you go to the doctor, they'll put in a 10 year all of your variables into a calculator and produce a 10 year risk score. And that 10 year risk score will determine whether or not the standard of care is for you to go on drug therapy or not. That's too late. Ten years is too late. We need to be looking at 30 year risk factors. My brother died at 52. He should have been looked at at 22. And his apple lipoprotein B should have been looked at. His familial hypercholesterolemia should be looked at. And what kind of predisposition he had towards heart disease. Really we need to be starting at 21. Really, we should be starting it in uro. You know, and I love this, taking people back to their first heartbeat. Do you know when your first heartbeat was.
Probably in the womb?
Yes. And how about your last heartbeat or I should say your most recent heartbeat? Are you aware of your most recent heartbeat?
Well, I can assure you that you've raised my awareness during this conversation to that.
Well, yes. And of course your most recent heartbeat is currently happening right now in this moment for all of us. Our first heartbeat started about 10 days after conception. A group of cells were fluttering that between 10 to 16 days became a fully formed four chamber heart within 20 weeks.
And.
Our hearts have been beating nonstop our entire lives, serving us. But what if we were to flip that paradigm around? What if instead of our hearts serving us, we served our hearts and listened to our hearts? Right now we're living in such a crazy time with so many conflicting views about what reality is around. Different political positions, religious positions, vaccine positions, that our heads are not moving us forward. The only way to move forward together is with our hearts. That reality is so individuated that our heart is our only hope for moving forward. To have a heart head coherence that we're not just coming at each other repeating sound bites, but to get back to the journey of our heart, that our heart has, has throughout our entire lives just served and given us what we, what our body has been been craving in every cell of our body. And if we would listen to our heart and listen to our body about what it is that it truly wants. And we fed it the what it needs. Amazing how fast we, we benefit from that light. I mean we're each, each of us has the choice to be a being of light, to be a temple of light, to look at your body as holy. There's some religions that only eat certain kosher foods or halal foods because they see themselves as holy. And it's time for all of us to see ourselves as holy and to eat whole foods and eat foods that are. Because whatever you eat is going to become wholly you. And if you are eating light in the form of fruits and vegetables from the photosynthesis process, from the photons that are captured in that process, you are going to reflect that light. Whereas if you're eating animals, you might, as someone put it, we're either a temple or a tomb and be a temple of light or a tomb of other animals. And if you're experiencing depression, anxiety in life, that might not have originated in you. In the animal, agricultural industry, these animals are sentient beings. They see what's happening to the animal in front of them. They know how they were raised. Some of them never seeing the light of day. When you ingest the flesh of an animal that was raised and slaughtered in such a way, those enzymes, those proteins that then become part of you, that may be affecting your mental health, maybe not even be yours. I've never heard of a depressed tomato or an anxious cucumber.
So you know, this, this is something that I know is near and dear to you. And as a fellow vegetarian, mostly vegan myself, I would say that I agree with this. Why is it that other people have such a hard time recognizing the sentientness of other animals and, you know, kind of drawing the same conclusion? Because sometimes I'll say the same thing. I'm like, you know, what's the emotional state of the food that you're eating? Because food is far more than calories. It's far more than what the food label says. I think the food label is very misrepresentative of what's actually in that food. There's an energetic signature that we don't really take into account. So is there a way for us to measure this that you found that helps get the message across to people who want to see some hard data? Because I can feel it and I can understand it. But is there something that you found that really helped drive that message across to people?
For me, it's a cultural thing. Food is very cultural. We have Asian food, Italian food, we have different nationalities, ethnic types of food, and we've been culturized in different ways. And to eat different things, really we need a new culture. Really like the terms vegan and vegetarian. I mean, Oreos are vegan. And if you're to label the healthiest, the gold standard for heart health, with all the scientific studies to back, it is a whole food plant based lifestyle. And it's not a whole food plant based only lifestyle, It's a whole food plant based lifestyle. And to receive benefit from this, you need to be eating 80% of your diet with fruits and vegetables. You don't have to eliminate meats entirely. And if you do, you should definitely be supplementing with a B12 vitamin. And that's the only supplement that I believe you need to take. There are others that you can take, but you can get all the supplements from fruits, vegetables and herbs. I can't say enough about herbs and spices especially that come from Ayurvedic traditions of a tradition of healing that's 10,000 years old and the newer version is 5,000 years old versus our Western medicine is roughly 100 years old. John Hopkins standardized our allopathic medicine on a diagnosis and pharmacokinetic or pharmacological treatment process of we will treat the symptoms of this disease. Really. We have of course, a sick care system we're developing at Matriots, a global universal health care system that gives people health and gives it to them abundantly that what is the healthiest that you can be, not just how can we get rid of your symptoms. If you have symptoms and you want to have those treated, the Western medicine model is great for that sometimes. But if you want to treat the causes of those symptoms and the causes of the diseases, then there's lifestyle things that you can do from a different type of medicine that is, in my opinion, equally or even more so valid and efficacious in producing results of eliminating the symptoms by eliminating the cause instead of just treating the symptoms. And that has happened in my case, in the case of people we work with. I've seen it time and time again. And we put our money where our mouth is. And if you put your food where, if you put your mouth, good food in your mouth and not bad food, you too will experience these changes, I guarantee it.
Yeah, totally agree. And for specificity, French fries and Coke are technically vegan vegetarian, but obviously they're not good for us. I love that clarification that the words we use matter. It's not just what we're excluding in our diet that's important. It's more important what we're including in our diet and taking that into strong.
Consideration, really, you know, and there's no superiority because sometimes people, I'm vegan, I'm vegetarian, they use this as a way of looking almost as a fundamentalism and another division between us. And that doesn't need to exist. I mean, the thing that we can still have a great feast of plentiful food, delicious food that is. And have a good time with our friends that is healthy and we all feel great about. And there's more and more. I just saw there's a new airbnb for plant based eating that you can stay and people that cook you fresh, healthy meals instead of having to worry about trying to eat healthy when you're on the road. It's awesome. It's catching on because it's contagious. We need a pandemic of health. We need a pandemic where people get so contagious, like, oh look, they lost £50. Well, I want to catch some of that. Go hang out with them, you know, let them, let them eat with them, you know, eat what they're eating and stop eating what you're eating and you'll, you'll get the same benefits.
Well, you know, I personally know the food is delicious and it's how we make it, it's how we prepare it, it's the intention that we put into it. And of course, besides food, you mentioned so many other things that we can do like sleep, expanding our empathy and our consciousness and our compassion towards other individuals. We can always start there. And of course extending compassion to ourselves. You also mentioned community and how important community is. And that kind of brings me to you joining our community. You've been such a positive light in our mentorship program and I love to have you share a little bit about that. Like what, what did that mean for you and your practice and, and your vision? Did you feel that this is where your heart was at too when you joined us?
Well, Sachin, I have to say that you are a charismatic light in this world for sure. And I can't thank you enough for the community that you've grown here of healthcare practitioners from around the world that are shifting their practices to helping people to experience greater health and vitality. And for me, seeing the process that you have of taking people through a metabolic reset is wonderful. And it opened up my eyes too that not everybody has to live at a gold standard of health. I took myself and being a very disciplined person and also having the wake up call of losing my brother to a very high standard. And I hold myself to a high standard. But you don't have to be the gold standard. There's room on the podium of silver and there's room on the podium of bronze and you still receive benefit. In fact, every step towards health is a step towards wholeness and healing. And whether you take one step or all the steps possible, health isn't ever a place you arrive at and you check the box and say, I'm done. Death is. Death has a finality to it, health doesn't. There's always another level to health once you start getting into who you are and what this technology of trillion dollar body that you've been given of what it's capable of doing. I feel that I've just barely begun to scratch the surface. It's great to be working with a group of and have a community of practitioners that are doing the same and on a journey of discovering health. And that's with matriots too. The community we're building there is. I have to tell you about the different levels of the matriots, if I may. So on our Spaceship Earth, I mean this is the most obvious thing that ever. I mean we have 7.9 roughly we're just shy of 7.9 billion billion members. Most of the matriots are stowaways because they have not yet heard of matriots because we launched it literally on the solstice two days ago, three days ago on the 21st of December and at the exact moment of the solstice to take as we go into a new direction as a planet. So most of our. It's an opt out organization. There's two ways to not be a Matriot is either take a rocket ship to Mars and then you are no longer one of our crew on Spaceship Earth or when you die and you are buried in our Earth that you are no longer an active crew member. Otherwise you're one. Once you hear about matriots like you just now, you're instantly a matriatino, which is a matriot in name only. Once you go to the website and find out a little bit more and to find out and take a free course, then you become a public first mate and that you are one of our shipmates and we have some classes and courses there coming to learn to open your heart and what it means to love on seven dimensions and to get started on some of our challenges. Once you take one of our courses, then you become a first classmate and you start and we want to certify you with a clean bill of health. Especially right now during this pandemic. We want to give everybody a clean bill of health with the added assurance that you are doing everything you possibly can to strengthen your immune system so that you are one of our crew members who is healthy. If you decide to take it to another level, you can become a captain or pilot, which is you're responsible for your community and crew and giving warnings, such as their seatbelt warning, even if it seems redundant and unnecessary of reminders of what people around you can do to be healthy. Now there's another level beyond a captain and pilot and that's to become an admiral. An admiral is someone who takes an oath and takes on the extreme ownership of the planet, similar to Jocko Willis in his book Extreme Ownership, that the world is the way that it is because of me, because what I have not said, because I have not given a loud enough call to the world, because I have not come up with an idea to reach everybody, to be involved with getting healthy, to taking care of their body, taking care of our planet, Those are our admirals. There's another component to Matrix. We seek to balance the matriot, the matriarchy, with the patriarchy. We're not saying that the patriarchy has messed the world up, even though the patriarchy has. We're in a mess right now and we don't need to say, okay, now women, you need to fix it because we men have messed it up. No, no, no. We need both of us. We need all hands on deck. All hands on deck. We need everybody working together. We need to pull the partition that men have artificially placed between men and women. We need access to the 51% of the computing power of women's brains and ideas to do things differently than men have done over the last 5,000 years to be able to find new ways forward on our course. In fact, there's another level that we have and that is on the front of each ship, there's a figurehead. In the movie from the 1960s of Jason and the Argonauts, the, the ship Argo had the figurehead at the back of the ship so the goddess Hera could commune with Jason as the pilot and captain of what they should be doing. And we want to have a group for women to meet to be able to discuss ideas together that we collectively would listen to in a way that hasn't been done yet. I mean, we live in a man made world with man made lines, with man made governments, with man made corporations believing man made religions. The obvious missing ingredient is we have failed to listen to women to our detriment. And the highest level of a matriot is to be a lighthouse. Stephen Covey, he often gave the book or they gave a story in his 7 Habits book of the battleship communicating with another ship and basically saying, you turn 20 degrees, do you turn 20 degrees? No, I'm not turning. I'm an admiral in a battleship. If you don't turn, we're going to open fire. I'm a first class private in a lighthouse, and if you don't turn, I'm not going to do anything. The lighthouses are our shamans, our spiritual teachers, our scientists, the Ones that are giving us the points of light to navigate by. And one of the things that our logo for the Matriots is an astrolabe. If you don't know what an astrolabe, I recommend you look it up. I didn't know what one was two weeks ago. It's a device that was created in 255 BC with this device. It has a compartment that's called the mother. And you can exchange the climates inside that had a thousand different uses. With this, a knowledgeable person could look at any body in the sky, the sun, the moon, the stars, and figure out where they were. It was a map to the entire universe. Universe. They could figure out the height of a building, the distance to the next to the horizon, and many other uses.
Can you repeat the name of that tool?
Astrolabe. Astro, like astronaut and lab. L, A B E L as in Lima, A as in Alpha, B as in boy, Bravo is in Echo.
I see it now. Okay.
It's a beautiful device. We're going to be putting that on T shirts and. And other merchandise and sharing it and having people to say, yes, I'm a matriot. And be proud of the position that they're taking for our planet and for each other and that we will have a whole bunch of different things. We're starting a Web3 community. We'll be having an NFT and starting this with a decentralized autonomous organization, a DAO for those familiar with what Web3 is and what's happening there, where we can vote on things as a planet as well. How to create a healthy governance for our ship, that right now we have all sorts of messes globally with our governance structure. But what if we decided we can handle, we actually can and are capable as human beings to have to take a stand for each other and for our human rights and for animal rights and for planetary rights and for our Patient Bill of Rights and for our data rights in our digital lives. And just for doing what's right. What if we knew in our heart of hearts what's the right thing to do? And we did it. That's what the Matriots are about. And you already are one. Whether it's in name only or if you come to the website. The Matriots is spelled too, with matri M A T R I, which means mother. And autsauts, as in astronauts, argonauts, Matriots, which are the sailors of mother. We are all on board and there is no one that we exclude or kick off. We'll be Having shortly a great process where we take you through expanding your awareness to how you can hold our.
Global.
Consciousness, our global family as brothers and sisters and to live as we. And the we that we talk about when we say live as we. It's an acronym for the whole Earth with everybody, the world's ecosystem. That's the we that we are, and you are, too.
I love that. I'm on the website right now and checking it out. I just subscribed for your list. I'm going to invite everyone tuned in to go to the list or go to the website matriots.com and register and, you know, become part of this beautiful movement now. You know, one thing I've been struggling with a little bit is this idea that we want to go to Mars. It sounds from a scientific perspective, from an engineering perspective, it sounds like something so ambitious. But I feel like there's so much work that we need to do here on this planet. So if you could have a conversation with Elon Musk, what would you say to him?
Well, first of all, I'd ask him if he's going to say anything about dogecoin anytime soon. Really. There's a Buddhist teaching about what happens after we die and that one life at a time is enough. And that there's really. There's a great book called Recapture the Rapture by Jamie Wheal, that there's two types of, you know, it talks about choose your own apocalypse and that a lot of people have checked out of meaning 1.0 of traditional religions, finding them meaning and feel that there's a swing to fundamentalism based on somebody's coming to save us. Whether it's in Christianity, Jesus is coming back. In Judaism, the Messiah is coming the first time. In Buddhism, the Maitreya is coming. And In Islam, the 12th or 13th Imam is coming. And Hinduism, everyone has someone coming to save us. In meaning 2.0, when we shifted to technology and neoliberalism, the technocrats, we all put our hope in technologies. Technology will save us. And technology has let us down as well. But yet there's those that are saying, well, this world is toast, so we're going to build a ship and we're going to Mars. We're leaving it, and we've got the golden ticket. And so Earth be damned. In this book, Jamie says we need to come up with meaning 3.0, and we need to come up with it fast. And one of the things that we hope to do with Matrix is convene conversations of how do we put more meaning and value in this life, in this earth, in this time in our lives, that if you believe that someone's coming to save us, I hope they come and they come quickly. But why don't we clean up a little before they get here? And if you think that you're going to to Mars and you're going to leave this place, Why don't you just go now? There's only going to be a handful of you. The rest of us are still going to be here. We need to have a whole shift in the economic model, which is happening now. Capitalism is cracking. Capitalism is a zero sum game game. It's like playing Monopoly. Everyone's having fun in Monopoly until you find out who the winner is, but you still then fold up the board, put it away. And most of the players hate the guy that won. And the guy that won stops playing the game too, you know, and the game's over. We need to play life as an infinite game. Our economy needs to be an infinite game. And the purpose of an infant game is to keep playing the game. We need to have a strong middle class, and we don't need to have this. We need to have everybody having the means to support their lives, support their families. The model that I see emerging, that Jeremy Rifkins and others talk about is contributism in the crypto space, that you can be compensated and tokenized for your contribution, whether you're contributing art or music. You can be contributed for coming up with a course to improve the lives of other people. And we want to include the courses of many people with Matrius that make us all better. But you can also be compensated instead of, you can be compensated for increasing your value as a student, as a participant, by taking the course. So you get paid for teaching it, you get paid for taking it, which is a totally different model than the university model that exists today, that as you increase your value and one of the things we teach, I know our time is up, but we teach about an hq, your heart quotient. What is your capacity to give and receive love? We talk about your iq, which is a set quotient based on your genetics and how your genes form. We talk about your eq, which is your emotional quotient, your emotional intelligence, and how you can develop your emotional intelligence. We talk about your vq, which is your value quotient, and what value you have as an individual to contribute to society. What is the gift and the music that you have inside of you to share with the world. And then how do you monetize that and share that and be compensated for that value that you bring in the blockchain. That's all possible in ways that are being discovered currently. Yes, it's bored apes, but you know what? Matriots aren't bored. We're adventurers. If you want to actually help save the bored apes, become a matriot. And we're going to first build out the community as our roadmap before we release the NFTs. And, and we're going to build out the DAO. So we are practicing this idea of self governance within our community and to then build that out, to be truly inclusive of everyone and to solve our global grand challenges, to not just get healthy for ourselves, but to look at the health of the planet, to look at our, the population, look at food and water security and look at energy supplies, look at, I mean, there's a host of, excuse me, of Sustainable development goals. The UN has 17 of them to be exact, that we can all be engaged in and coming up with creative solutions and making our planet one. That whether we do go to other planets or whether in the next life, when someone says, where are you from? Where did you come from? You'd be so proud to say, I'm from Earth. We made Earth Heaven and I'd love to go back there because it's beautiful. We learned to love each other. We learned that we are all one family. We learned to truly see the God within me is the God within you. And to acknowledge in that deep, deep sentiment of Namaste and Namaskar that the divine. I see that divine in you, that is in me.
I love this. It's so beautiful. Such a lovely conversation, especially on a joyous day like today. And I'm so grateful for the opportunity that you had to share this with me today and for us to be able to share it with a larger audience far and wide. The world needs this now more than ever. And it's a mystery why nobody's done it up till now. But I'm glad it's you and I'm glad you're taking the charge and taking the lead. And I'm here to support you in any way that I can. And I know that people who are tuned into this are looking for ways to support you. So how can we learn more about your work? How can we connect with you? How can we support you and bring this to fruition?
I just want to say thank you and I'm a little, getting a little emotional about this because.
I know that.
There'S nothing I can do to bring my brother back, but his life literally extended mine, guaranteed. And more than anything, I want to create a world. We are. We could be killing each other for food in the millions. The soil is degrading, the food is degrading, the scarcity. All of us want as human beings is to be able to live our lives and to feed our families. And I have two sons. I want them to. They're in their 20s, they're dating, and to find someone that they fall deeply in love with and have a beautiful family. I want us to all fall in love with the earth, you know, to literally fall in love with the earth and to feel that rapture, that, that joy of love every day that we're alive. And this earth has done nothing but to support us and give us life. We're made. We are made of the earth. And it doesn't matter what you're eating, it ultimately originated in and from the earth. And this is who we are. And you know, it's going to take all of us, it's going to take a lot of us. It's going to take, you know, but if Covid has taught us anything is that we're making it all up. We can change the game within one year or less. We can live any way we want. We can make new rules that you need to wear a mask you don't need to make, you have to get a vaccination. We can make rules that you have to eat healthy. But why don't we just choose it? Why don't we make it a choice? It is your choice, I would say. Be patient with us, number one. Join us and help us join our discord. Come with your ideas, help us be patient, build a system for communicating en masse. I've directed some of the largest town hall meetings that I'm a aware of globally. From the World Economic Forum to the first Global Youth Summit on Climate Change in Daejeon, South Korea. There's processes for consensus that we're implementing. To listen to tens of thousands we've already done, but to millions and even billions of us. Let's learn to live as we as human beings on this planet and care for our, our mother and all other creatures on this planet. And so, yes, join us at matriots. Find us on Twitter, on social media, on Instagram, Facebook. We're going to have a Facebook public group for our public first class or our public mates and for our private group, for our. I'm forgetting the terms, but for our matriots to continue to grow and put this together. We don't have it all figured out totally. No one's left us the manual for planetary transformation, but we do have the manual for personal transformation. And it starts off with each of us presenting ourselves at the peak of our well being and getting on that journey and doing it together and building a new community and culture, a global culture that is based on sustainability and preservation of humanity on the planet.
I love that. Well, there you have it folks. Michael Smith, the heart health guy, the pilot co pilot with each and every one of you that wants to get on board of this ship, Matriots and check out his website, check out his work. So much love for you, my friend. And here's to more wholeness, more happiness, more heart centeredness. The world needs this now more than ever and I'm so grateful that our paths have crossed and I'm so grateful to be able to support you and everything that you're doing in the world. We definitely need it. So thank you once again.
Thank you. Thank you, brother.
My pleasure. Lots of love, my friend.
Sam.
