Hiring the first person you meet because they seem friendly is a mistake. Bad help wastes more time than doing the work yourself, forcing you to backtrack and redo everything.

If I'm bound by law to work with the next person for the next 3 years, which is silly to say, but it's an interesting thought experiment. I'm probably not gonna hire the first person I meet because they're friendly and someone said I should talk to them on Facebook. Like it just sounds absurd to say it out loud. Yet we've all been there. I'm smiling because I've done that. Right. And I did too many years ago. Right. Yeah. We've all done that. We're desperate. We're in a rush. We're overwhelmed. We just think. Any help is better than no help. Well, I've come to learn that no help is better than bad help because you end up wasting time and going backwards and having to redo things.
