A manager asks their team three questions: what makes you feel cared for, inspired, and like the workplace is great. Everyone writes answers privately for ten minutes, then shares them in a Google Doc and upvotes the ideas they like. The most upvoted actions become the team's priorities.

How to make people feel good and inspired lies with the team. You can simply ask them, what would make you feel cared for? What would make you feel inspired? What would make you feel like this is a great place to work? They will tell you. And I would do it in a written brainstorming. I would write that question out, gather the team together, have everyone take 10 minutes in real time, write down their answers in a private Google Doc, And then when they're done, the timer's done, copy and paste it into one common Google Doc. And then you just all read through it and have everyone upvote the ideas that they like so you can see what are most popular. They don't have to be the original creator of the thought to like the thought.
