Hello and welcome to campus to cooperate Transformation Video Series this is video number two and we are going to talk about culture today. How is culture formed? See, culture is formed by the people who create that space, that ecosystem, okay? That institution or company or organization. So maybe the CEOs, the founders, the trustees, the first employees of the company, okay? Now how do they form? It is formed by their philosophies, their vision, mission, their ethics, their way of working, their pattern, how they want to run the company. All these things decide. It could be your college and all these people building that college or all these people building an organization or company. Now it differs and it depends on lot of things. Culture varies. It could be open culture, closed culture, orthodox or liberal. Okay? Now it depends on couple of things. One, it depends on people who run the company. Two, it depends on place, where is it? Okay? For example, culture of IM college. Any of the IMs would be different from any of the small city MBA college, okay? Culture of engineering college is going to be different than medical college, okay? Now it depends upon city, two tier, three tier city or metro cities or villages, okay? It also depends upon the industry type, fashion industry culture. Companies will be different and software will be different. So there is going to be a lot of difference here. Now the question is why am I telling you or why should you know about all this and that too in such depth? Because once you decide to join a company, it is extremely important for you to fit into the culture of that company. If you do not, it creates issues. You struggle a lot because you are not adapting to that culture or you're not the right fit. I'll explain you with a small example. Suppose you are in the software industry and you are someone who loves to have flexi timing, okay? You perform well and you deliver on time and everything. But you still want to do it at your leisure time. Now you get opportunity, great package from a company with big name brand and everything. And the company is orthodox. It is run differently than what you expect. It's like, you know, you have to come in a particular time at a particular time and leave. I don't know when because there is no time of living in in India, Indian perspective especially so you are expected to do that. But you are not able to cope with that kind of a work. Because you want flexi timing, right? So it is important guys that you research the culture of the company. See if you are the right fit. Do not go for the salary or anything else or the brand because you have to survive there in that company. And then probably, you know, build your growth trajectory there. So that is about culture. I in the next video. Remember this is also available in Hindi. Please do share in your network and help other students also learn from these videos.
