Have you heard about AI Artificial intelligence? Well, I know that we have to today talk about the last element of first impression. But let me tell you, this is related to AI machine. Well, there are two aspects to this. One, you can be worried that you might lose your job. Or two, you can feel happy that all the monotonous and mundane jobs will be done by the machines. And you'll have enough time for each other to connect with people and to socialize. Namaskar, this is Sakshi Chandrakar and I welcome you all to let's talk simple. I am an image enhancer and a people skills coach. And today we are going to talk about the last element of first impression, which is called etiquette. Well, in business we often say it's not what you know, but who you know is more important. That means the coming age is going to be networking age. The better your connections, the more successful your life will be. Clarence Thomas once said, good manners will open doors that the best education cannot. So what is etiquette? Etiquette is a fine art of getting along with people. It is being polite and looking good. It is also a language of communication. This is something which is going to help you deal in any situation, be it social or business. Etiquette comes from the French word which means tag or label. So now do you understand that whatever etiquette you show, people are going to tag you on the same? This is a big reason why we call etiquette as an essential part of first impression. Now let's understand. Is there a difference between etiquette and manners? Well, of course there is. Manners is having an understanding of doing certain things in a certain situation. And etiquette is having the knowledge of what to do in that situation. Just for example, if you go in a business meeting and you have to greet somebody, what do you do? Well, you go and shake hands with person. So having the understanding that you have to shake hands with a person is called your manners. But how to shake hands with that person in the right manner is having right etiquette. The world is a global village now and we often come across people from various cultures. So having an understanding that manners remain same across the world. But etiquette actually change from culture to culture. For example, Japanese take a bow to greet you, but Latinos love to hug and kiss you to show their greetings. This is the basic difference between manners and etiquette. Etiquette change from culture to culture, while manners remain the same all across. Having an understanding of all this is definitely going to take you to a next level of success. So it's time to recap what have we learned about first impression? Having a good understanding of clothing, grooming, body language and etiquette is definitely going to work in your favor. In the next video, I am going to make another people skill easy for you. This is Sakshi Chandrakar and I thank you.
