Takamaz NEW High Speed, J-WAVE

The Takamatsu J-Wave is a compact high-speed machining system that automatically loads bolt blanks from a bowl feeder, performs turning and threading operations in sequence, then flips and unloads them. All rails adjust for different part lengths, making changeovers quick.

Good morning. What I'd like to show you this morning is the brand new high speed J way from Takamatsu. Let me show you basically how it's configured. First of all we have the parts. The customer puts the blank parts in this case, basically bolts, small bolts that he's machining. Puts the parts in the bowl feeder and basically the parts track down and they feed right down. Come over here and show their feed. Basically they would feed right down onto the infeed rail of the takamats. Now let me show you how the Takamas designed. The parts feed down the rail right here and they come into a selector device here basically that allows one part to feed at a time into the fixture. You can see the fixture right there on the Takamats, kind of a V fixture that comes down. Now what we're doing here is to make the loading as quick as possible. The loader is basically just doing a load only function. So we're coming down there, you see we're loading and coming straight back up. So the movement is just down and up, down and up. It's very, very fast. As you can see for the exiting of the finished part. So you can see what we're doing here is the spindle is coming over and we're just basically kicking the parts out to this chute basically in front of the machine that's mounted to the gang plate. And the finished parts are coming over here into the customer's tray in front of the machine. The machine is a built in motor spindle. So it's very, very fast from an excel deceleration standpoint. And basically you can see we have a number of tools on the, on the gameplay. So these, this machine is basically designed for basic turning operations but very, very fast loading time and processing time. As you can see seen. Very compact machine, basically the size of a refrigerator. Very, very fast. And the changeover is also very, very quick. Typically with rail systems, changeover in the past has been very, very time consuming. But with the Takamad system you can see basically all the rails are adjustable. So it's very easy to move the rails in and out to guide for certain length of parts. Now this particular operation you can see the customer is doing basically bolts where we're basically loading in and we are holding here. And the customer is doing basically the point work on here. We can also flip the part around and clamp over clamp here to do the thread diameter work also. So again, this is the brand new J wave from Takamas. Very, very fast as you can see, and we're excited to be presenting it to you. Thank you.
