Probitas blends three rums from Jamaica and Barbados with no added sugar or filtration, recreating 1930s-style rum. It's the first island-to-island collaboration, combining unaged Jamaican pot-still, Barbados column-still, and 2-year-old Barbados rum for a balanced spirit with Jamaican ester funk.
Like everything else in our portfolio, there's no sugar added, there's no additives, there's no filtration on this. You can see that it has that light hue, and really the intention behind this rum was to create the same style of rum you would be drinking from the 1930s and the patterns back then. It is a blend of 3 different rums. You've got an unaged Jamaican pot still coming out of Hampton Estate. You have a Barbados Columnsville, and then you have a 2-year-old Barbados rum in this blend. So what you're getting is this really beautiful expression. It's a little bit longer but still has some of that high Jamaican ester funk in it just to round it out. I really love that this was the first island-to-island collaboration.
